• Qosmio DX730 and Win8 - touch screen does not work

  My wife's parents bought a Toshiba Qosmio DX730 (model PQQ11A). They have recently upgraded to Windows 8 and the touch screen does not work now.

  The problem is lack of drivers (the monitor driver reports as a generic PnP monitor).

  I have went on the Toshiba site and selected downloads driver for the appropriate model and installed a number of drivers, including recommended NVidia display drivers. There is no drivers on the site that seem to install support for Toshiba touchscreen.

  Are there no drivers available for this model Windows 8? If not, is there another solution? If Yes, where can I find them. Any help very appreciated because they have nice and bought computer Windows 8 so they could use the touch functions.

  As far as I know that you will install the Toshiba display driver for the touch function works correctly.

• TV tuner for Hong Kong/China on Qosmio F20-104

  I'm about to make my payment for a model Qosmio F20-104 of the United Kingdom. However, I read in this forum about the incompatibility of the TV tuner through different countries.

  As I will use my model largely in China & Hong Kong, which also adopt the same standard PAL B than the United Kingdom, does that mean that I will be able to watch television from Hong KONG/China or not? Is the problem related to the edition of Windows Media Center and could be fixed?

  Any sound feedback will be greatly appreciated.

  As far as I know the devices installed with Microsoft Windows Edition Media Center TV functionality does not work outside the United Kingdom.
  Supply the following reasons:

  In my opinion it's not possible to watch television from Hong KONG/China :(

• Qosmio Dx730 - indication of virtual keyboard problem

  I have a Toshiba Qosmio Dx730.
  I'm not using the supplied wireless keyboard, but a D + he's wired keyboard standard I prefer the keyboard layout.

  However, the indicator of keyboard to the virtual keyboard is faulty and appears in the lower left of the screen randomly (no matter whether if I hit caps lock shift or not).

  It has now begun to randomly toggle Caps Lock on and out, without apparent reason.

  The indicator of virtual keyboard (icons) in the lower right corner of the screen appears because the supplied wireless keyboard does not support indicators SHIFT CAPS LOCK, Numlock and SCROLLLOCK. This is why virtual indicators seems displays the status of the mentioned buttons.

  You can activate the icons ON / OFF by clicking the keyboard Toshiba indicator in the notification area in the taskbar.

  I recently purchased a Qosmio DX730 and the wireless mouse behaves erratically.   your pc need a destop map grafik with an hdmi output, if there you can connect the Qosmio dx730 with your 'OLD' destop pc and use the Qosmio as a screen.

  We bought a new Qosmio DX730 - 10K, but its touch screen seems to not work properly.

  Optical touch screen has retro bands on the side left, right and bottom of the screen.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that you ask a withdrawal of the graphics card of mounting brackets for better circulation of air.  I'm happy to help you with this.

  There are a few problems with this. First support firmly maintains the card in place in its decision to maintain a good connection and prevent the flow of the socket. Second, although it may seem intuitive abduction, counter to the back plate of the computer can actually hinder the cooling system, as the positioning of various fans and admission of eaves, are often designed to channel air flow, so it travels on the components that most need cooling.

  All that being said, you can always try it and see if there is an improvement in your case, but the possibility of a graphic intermittent connection is going to be a matter of concern

  Hey all, I don't know if a used Toshiba computer support on the European site of bed this thread, but I hope of course.

  Well it turns out that a little Japanese knowledge so I decided to go to the Toshiba Japan website, in the download section of pilot, and I was a bit shocked ^_^

  For my Qosmio E10, I realized that most of the downloads from the European websites of Toshiba are outdated.

  -There is a new version of the bios 1.70 (which improves stability with Intel chipset AFAIK) instead of on the site of the Euro 1.60. [I didn't try it because my machine is a French]

  -New Nvidia video drivers! 57,82 versus 57,79 on the site of the Euro. [I tried and there are new presets for PC games]

  -New driver tuner TV 1.0.2.6 versus 1.0.2.0 on the site of the Euro.
  [I tried and what a TOTALLY SOLVED MY TV PROBLEMS CHECK, I can finally save all: PAL, SECAM & NTSC without huge flicker that plagued the 1.0.2.0 version]

  -Toshiba offers 'Toshiba Virtual Sound' for owners of the E10 to the Japan. (in Europe, we still have the "Windows Media player SRS WOW" plugin) [I tried and it is a fantastic software, improvement of the sound is great with great presets, you won't believe what you get for your Harman/Kardon after installation of this!]
  It has the great advantage of working for all the Windows programs, not only in WMP as the fact the plugin 'SRS WOW' we have in Europe.

  As you can see there are a lot of new drivers that we, owners of European Qosmio, would really benefit.

  But there's something interesting that you should know about:
  Drivers Toshiba E10 euro site are also outdate compared to other Qosmio models pilots from the Euro site!
  For example:
  -The pilot of his "Soundmax", is a version of 3890 in section E10 and 5160 in the section of the G20!
  It's exactly the same chipset, so it is of course compatible and should also be in the section of the E10.

  -L'Intel LAN driver "INtel PRO 100 VE" is version 7.1 in the section of the E10 and 8.0 in the section of the G20.

  -L' utility development of photo is the version 2.4.0.0 for E10 and 2.7.0.2 for the G20.
