• Brand new, fresh out of the box, DSC-HX50V is having all kinds of problems

  On my third attempt to get a HX50, sometimes finally B & H Photo today.  I'm so excited as I opened the box, then plug it in to make sure that the battery is charged.  I unplug, pop in my SD card, turn it on and do the initial setup routine.  I finished the initial installation, the lens comes out and I think, «Here we go...» "But I see on the screen, rather than the other side of the room?  'Access... '. "I see it on the screen for the next two minutes until the screen turns off alone...  Press the power button two times and it comes...  Leave would be for an hour while I desperately search the Internet to see if this is normal (without success, btw).  Click on the button of power twice, its always there...  Mocking me... Tease me... Make fun of me... Why oh why am I tortured that way?

  Finally... I try to turn off the camera by holding down the power button...  No luck.  I eject the SD card (to be noted that the access lamp is not lit). It's always "for access to the...» "So I eject the battery to force power off.  Pop the battery, turn on the camera, the lens retracts, lens extends, I see the General information on the screen (battery level, 20 M, Focus tracking, etc...) and no image... Nothing...  Just a white background, black... Try to turn off and the power button turns off just the screen, but the lens remains extended and the screen lights up immediately when the power button.  What the...? ! ?

  Then... What I have is a camera that will only show that "access to the...» «When a SC card is inserted, will show the General information but no picture when the SD card is not inserted, the shutter button does nothing, movie button does nothing, watch play button "to access to the...» "for a while before returning to the general info, change the mode, all other buttons dial mode only do something if I shortly after you turn on/off the camera (if I let the screen press on shut down, or turn off the screen with the power button, they will cease to respond to the pressures on) and the power button turns on the camera and turn off the screen , but do not turn off the camera.  Oh Yes... The Toolbox in the menu of the screen blanks, but never sends me into the menu of the box tool.

  Then...  I was wondering... I'm SOL?  Can I reset the device to factory settings and start over possibly fix everything that's wrong?  Is this a defective unit that I have to return to the B & H and hope they can replace in less than a lifetime?  ???

  Too bad... I understand that if I plugged the camera, then lit, it lights up in playback mode. In playback mode, all the buttons worked, I was not only able to reset the camera, but also able to format the SD card, which got rid of the ' access to...» "Unfortunately, none of these things toned down the main issue of the camera being completely unusable designed for the purpose of taking a photo and video recording, so I guess it's back to the store and either I'll treat the excessive expectation and additional spending, to get it replaced, or just go with another camera altogether which maybe actually available in a local store... That's life...

• OfficeJet 4630: brand new officejet 4630 with the problem of black ink and ok button does not work

  Hello! Today, I bought a new printer, officejet 4630 and it included ink cartridges in the box.

  ISET it upward as the sheet in the box said. After I had filled in date etc, I put in the ink (and Yes, remember to check it was compatible and take the Ribbon), then this message showed on the screen and still doesn't work:

  "Problem of ink cartridges. The following ink cartridges need to be replaced"and a black dot.

  The cartridges were brand new and came in the same area as the printer.

  I tried a reset (taking the power cord, wait 60 s etc) I saw in the Hp support you need to press 'ok' to get rid of the message before restarting. I can't press ok. It sounds right. I press any button.

  Suggestions? Of course, I can try it with a new cartridge, but to pay $20 for a new cartridge, when it was included in the box and should work is not correct.

  Last night, I took my laptop HP Pavilion 17 t Touch brand new out of the box and it is so slow.  The startup is slow.  All operations running slow.  The use of the internet is slow.  I tried to transfer files from Carbonite on this new computer and just the process of realization of this installation took me a half hour.  This morning I had to reboot and it took 5 minutes.  I only know enough about computers to be dangerous, so I don't mess with many settings myself.  This performance unacceptible on a new computer.  This is certainly the slowest computer I've ever owned.  All solutions that anyone can offer (as a reminder, I need instructions step by step)

  The lock icon has no relationship to UAC or protection.  It simply means that the folder is private and only accessible to this user.

  To add a lock: right-click and choose "share with Nobody."
  To remove a lock: right-click and choose «Share with...» "and choose someone

  Try this:
  Switch on and press F8.
  Select repair my computer then HARD drive recovery.
  Drive recovery HARD should restart and you should be able to reinstall the OS.

  1. what exactly happen when you try to use the touchpad and built-in camera?

  2. you receive messages or error codes?

  3. are you able to use the other features/devices built on the laptop with no problems?

  This problem may occur if the touchpad and webcam drivers are not installed properly.

  I suggest to refer to the Dell Support website to install the latest version of the touchpad and webcam drivers for your laptop and find the issue.

  We may also refer to article and check if it helps to solve the problem.

  What to do when a device is not installed correctly

  Since you have repaired the laptop recently, you can also get in contact with Dell Support for assistance.

• Slow... Right out of the box - HP ENVY 15t, w7 pro

  Build is below.

  I've had this laptop since end of August 2014. He soon right out of the box. Technical support has been of little help and suggested that I needed a HP service called Smart Friends. At a cost that is an option I did not wish to engage with a laptop that was only 3 weeks at the time. I called tech support twice on this slow condition, they escape to the frustrating and boring.

  I created an operating system/repair disk and restore as one point of my first orders of operations by getting this laptop. Those who have not helped. The purpose of this laptop is strictly for use when travelling to which I've not yet done. I guess I could have a total of 5-6 hours of use on this computer. My HP desktop computer is my main computer.

  For example, in MS config I have which where only 3 vital elements are checked and it still takes 75 to 80 seconds of power to display the windows desktop. It takes 40 seconds to load control panel if you click on it, I get the blue wheel. I created a unique 26KO word doc. When I click to open, I get the blue wheel that is opening the document. It is simply not true. I spent more time troubleshooting this new laptop to use it for its intended purpose.

  I thought about safe mode or a clean boot. I don't have to. I did a system restore and a clean install once already.

  Schedules:

  -Microsoft Security Essentials

  -Office 2010 about 6 weeks after taking possession.

  -Malware Bytes

  Again, it was slow, until I loaded one of these three programs on this laptop.

  It's with or without being connected to the internet.

  I need an original system disk if all the one I created is just a mirror of what can happen?

  Clues that performance results did not appear my search on?

  Hello, I am new in preview, using Premiere Pro CS4 4.2.1 v..  I wonder if there is a shortcut for something.  In the timeline window I have the video layer I selected, the indicator is on the clip selected and I want just first to set automatically the points based on the length of this clip and output.  So that I don't have to go at the beginning of the clip, developed, go statements point, at the end of the clip, and then realize my editing.  Is it an option you know?  or I'll stop crying and just run the four additional steps?

• Minor scratches on SS 2 series out of the box

  I am very happy that my watch stainless steel series 2 has been delivered today! Hope you are all enjoying your. After an inspection of the watch, however, I noticed very slight/minor/extra fine scratches on the screen, mainly on the top and the bottom of the screen where the curve begins, but also a bit in the middle. Once again: scratches are very minimal and is only visible when shine your flashlight of the iPhone (or any other light RAM) directly on the screen and looking closely in some angles. It seems that this has happened during production, probably during some polishing of the watch or other routines (because the stripes are mainly on the curves of the screen and pointing in the same direction). Really in trying to decide what to do about... Some of you SS series 2 owners would be so good to check that out and let me know what your watch in bright light looks like? Once again: it is very difficult to see if you need to use your iPhone light therapy lamp or other direct light source. I read a few threads on the coating that was applied to the screen (also described in the manual). Some suspect that this coating scratches easily, however I think it is strange that the watch is delivered striped out of the box. Especially since this Sapphire screen must be very hard to scratch.

  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar in Apple for the service. If you need a Apple Store - find a store - Apple. Take it within 14 days from the date of purchase for Exchange do for a not scratched. We cannot help you here, and these forums aren't complaints because Apple isn't here. We are all of the users like you.

  I have improved my NB250 Notebook for windows 8 (it came with windows 7 starter).
  Now, I want to go back to the out of the box again with windows 7 starter.
  The manual said to do I need to press the 0 (zero) key all turning on my pc. (I did before once).

  Now when I press 0 simply freeze the first toshiba screen and has no effect until I have unlock the key.
  I suspect its power because I installed the windows 8.

  Hello

  I don't know if your note is a US or European but manual model displayed must be the American version.
  In any case, its operation is quite similar.
  Laptop comes with preinstalled OS (recovery image) also saved original recovery image on the HARD drive.
  If long HDD is not defective and laptop to factory settings you will be able to install the HARD drive recovery image.
  If you check this page 56 s manuals, you can see explanation and detailed instructions how to create a recovery media (USB) that you can use if the HARD drive is faulty or the installation of HARD drive recovery won start t (your situation).

  I presume you didn't create this recovery USB support so now you have a problem. After your own installation of OS version your NB does not have factory settings anymore and you will not be able to access the recovery image recorded and the ability to boot the recovery image installation. Only way to have once again is installation of recovery using recovery media image.

  Sorry to ask what may be a very basic question, but how do you define a wireless router - more WiFi settings of your laptop - back to the way they were when they came out the box? In other words, I want wireless and portable routers that I forget they know so that I can set up my wireless network again as if I put for the first time.

  The reason is a little involved, but for the most part, I had a set up wi - fi network and launched from a Terminal Airport Express and it worked very well. During the holidays I then bought an Airport Extreme because I wanted something a little better for my base unit and then I wanted to use the Express as an Extender. How I wanted to now, I had not tinkered with something that was not broken, as the addition of the extreme for the network was not as simple as I was expecting and my wi - fi network everything seems to go wrong, like my internet connection. I had someone to configure two routers (understand I can I have messed up a setting when I was trying to implement) but still no luck - he would work for a bit and then my internet would just go down. Using Airport utility, showed that routers and internet will run for a few seconds and then would stop and I would lose the connection.

  I work and live on a college campus for the internet at home is powered by an ethernet into the wall jack, just as you would in an office. Through contact the COMPUTING helpdesk, they managed to tell me (although partly because of techno speak and a little bit of a language barrier that English isn't the first language here) I got away from. What I could gather was something like the two routers SSID must be different because they were "beating" and this caused the network to automatically shut down at home? Unfortunately they treat only to provide internet service home and cannot help with the problems of wi - fi.

  I am pursuing other means to help (we are a University of science and technology research, after all!), but something I thought was if I could just reset routers and WiFi my laptop 'memory' of the network and start over as if I was there for the first time. I don't want to plug the router and it says something like "this was part of the XX network."

  Anyone know how?

  To configure your router from Apple to its "out-of-the-box" configuration, you must perform a ' default ' reset on this subject.

  For the laptop, if it's a Mac, then you will need to follow these steps for "erase it."

  Start with the first steps (1 - 1). If that is not accomplish what you're looking for, go to step 2.

  1a. remove preferred networks

  System Preferences > network > Wi - Fi > advanced > tab Wi - Fi

  Under "Preferred networks", delete the networks you use regularly in the list.

  1B. Airport deleted keychain entries

  Launch the application "Keychain Access", located in Applications/Utilities.

  In the windows on the left side: Select login for keychains and "All items" category.

  Click on the 'Genre' filter at the top and search all "AirPort network password" entries... and remove them.

  1 c. Add Network favorite (s)

  System Preferences > network > Wi - Fi > advanced > tab Wi - Fi

  Add preferred networks using the button «+»

  Restart or disconnect you, then back in.

  2. move the System Configuration files

  (Note: you will need to restore your network connection settings.)

  Go to Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences

  Move the SystemConfiguration folder on the desktop.

  Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the folder & files that are now sitting on your desk in the library > location of preferences.) If this does not resolve the problem, you can move the folder back to its original location.)
