• How to use the Brush tool effectively...?

  More specifically, I have a pic that is much darker show, a hay field and the end of the field is a hill on the island of trees.  In addition are mountains/hills, this is the high country of Colorado and on these hills are light patches of sunlight thanks to the handful of clouds.  I would like to put a little lightness to the left of the island for a little more definition and I can't really understand how to do it well, it comes out too light and that the border is no longer enough for my taste.  Any thoughts, good people?  I'm NEW to this game at this level.

  Take the easy one first: pen. He comes to the edge of the shape of the brush. A value of zero pen gives you a sharp hard brush, with a good clear round edge shape to paint along the edges clearly defined as walls or signs. Affecting the pen to a higher value creates a soft or fuzzy border brush which is very subtle; You can not easily know where at the edge of the affected area.

  Workflow with a density control the intensity of the effect.

  Density determines the maximum amount of effective to apply - something less than 100 will result in a partial effect that may seem a little transparent.

  Flow of control the amount of effect to be applied with a single brush. Assignment of a low value like 10 or 20 (think it's percent) will allow you to put in place an effect on several consecutive brush strokes, for maximum effect that is equal to the value of density. So a flow of 20 would take 5 shots to build to whatever the density setting is maximum (100%).

  You can combine the two for very subtle effects. Density of 50 with throughput of 10 means 10 shots build fo up to the value of the total density of 50%.

• Adjustment brush leaves effect "stained".

  When you use the adjustment brush to hide a part of a RAW image, so I can reduce the exposure of some of my photos, I get an uneven effect.  It seems that the mask does not affect some pixels from the area, that I'm trying to settle.  The photo was taken inside a cathedral in Vienna where the lighting wasn't great so I used an ISO of 3200 on my camera Nikon D7000.  I have made adjustments to the Reduction noise before using the adjustment brush.   A part of the image below.

  I had the same problem with other photos when using the adjustment brush.   I tried different settings of pen, the traffic and the density without significant improvement.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  You probably have checked.

  When is selected Lr will apply the AdjBrush to the value of color/hue where you click first with the AdjBrush. This feature helps if you want to brush the fine detail without affecting the background.

  But for large surfaces it creates tasks. Uncheck the box - it's at the bottom of the AdjBrush Panel.

• Why my brush air suddenly pixelated

  Yesterday, I tried to do a regular gradient with the Brush tool effect, but then realized that he created ugly, restless fades as if I was using the spray paint tool in MS PAINT.   To fix the problem in your first screenshot, you can go to the brush Panel and as a brush tip, set the spacing to 1%

  

  For the second screenshot, whereas banding, it looks a little to perhaps something to do with your monitor or a monitor profile or maybe even the document profile.

  If you create a new document using the RGB color mode and sRGB color space, does make a difference?

  I like this effect, but may not know how they got those dark lines darker around their tables (sort of a box of broken lines upwards) around their tables. I tried all the brush and effect tools I could think, but know need to ask the experts! Thank you much in advance. Buffmin

  Seems to me that table borders are distinct from the partially transparent GIF files.

  Just a guess, but they may have made an image with texture, then paint on a mask to make it transparent.  The tip is positioned in the HTML code that it overlays the background and properly aligned on the text.

• File brush mystery

  Mac OS X 10.5.8

  I just upgraded from PSE 8 to 9.  After the installation of 9, I've migrated on all files of plugins and brushes I had installed in the earlier version.  All came over fine with the exception of a single brushes file, named MyBrushes.  It is actually a double Brushes.abr special effects but with a few custom brushes, I made a while back and can't lose.  I don't remember exactly when I created the MyBrushes file and I don't know why he does double duty with effect special Brushes.abr.  (Maybe that I duplicated Brushes.abr effect, installed my custom brushes and renamed the file MyBrushes? )  I can't think why I would have).

  The problem is that I can't locate the MyBrushes file so I can migrate to the PSE 8 PSE 9.  I dragged all the brush files of PSE 8 off PSE 8 then presets > Brushes is now empty.  Yet, when I revive PSE 8, the MyBrushes file is always available!

  I also 1) deleted the PSE 8 each folder 2) search prefs in the application of PSE 8 and 3) did a search of the entire system of MyBrushes.  I came up empty every time, and yet the file is always to me clearly when I revive PSE 8 and access the Brush tool.

  Where else can the file MyBrushes may be hiding?  I really don't want to lose my custom brushes if there is no way to avoid this.

  You open your search system to find hidden and system files?  Some files are hidden and cannot be searched by default.

  I own a market for site templates Web and creating resources and I have a few concerns about the terms of the extended license.

  Could you please comment on the following examples and tell me if this is a valid use of stock photo under license scope

  1. can I include Photos from stocks of adobe in a website template that is for sale with the extended license?

  2 can I use for example textures, particles, flames etc. from stocks of adobe to create brushes, photo effects or actions photoshop and sell them?

  3. can I include photos in a game/package among much other stock photos where the game/package is for sale?

  Regarding the "3.2 Extended License" in the "Stock Adobe additional terms", it seems that these three examples should be allowed, but I'm a bit hesitant, especially on the last example.

  "(B) goods or services intended for resale or distribution, including, without limitation, mugs, t-shirts, posters, greeting cards, posters or other goods and" print on demand "or tangible or electronic formats.

  How many layers you have btw?

  Have you checked the settings of the brush, opacity, size, for example?

  I'm sure this question has been asked and answered, but no matter how I word in search engines I have just never a solution that corresponds exactly to my question, or a solution that solved my problem.

  The question that I meet is when I do a black and white photo and bring out a color by selecting color with the magic switch areas. Once I have the selected color box I have reverse and put the rest of the black and white image, or I have create a new duplicated layer and will remove the content in a single layer and possibly merge the layers of color and black and white to make my final image.

  My problem is that I always get a white space between the colors and images in black and white or layers. I tried to use the option menu edge refine, but never, this solves the problem as the feather and moving edge option do not cover the gap, they just move.

  I resorted to the use of the tool concealer to hide the row, or to merge the layers of color and black and white. The problem with that is some times it is in a very visible place and the Healing Brush tool doesn't always look great. In other words, you can tell that I merged two colors or images together.

  I also have this problem when I use the tool of selection on images I blur portions of. It seems to happen at any time, I use the toold selection and I guess that there is a standard way to avoid this.

  No known photoshop elements fighters advice or tactics would be greatly appreciated. Usually, I can understand this kind of things out, but I can't simply solve this problem.

  I use 11 items if this information is useful at all.

  Instead of using one of the selection tools, try to select the object with a mask. With the mask, you can hide in paint with a black brush, revealing (and correct) with a white brush. I use PSEv.8, so I have to take hostage an adjustment layer mask, but your version of the program has a buit of mask.

  Try this:

  • Open image file
  • Duplicate the background layer
  • Convert the background copy layer black and white
  • Apply the mask. Left click on the mask
  • Paint with a black brush where you want to reveal the color. If you go too far, correct with a white brush

  I've been using Illustrator for awhile now, but I'm not a professional. I use it mainly for the creation of newsletters, PDFs, certain vectors that export in Photoshop to create flyers and posters... But now I want to do something more practical.

  I need to erase a part of the object (inside), so that the cleared area is a specific form. Is there a way to do that by, say, creating a predefined brush (if so, how?) or should I do something else? A click with the brush Eraser and then shaping the circle seems too complicated, and I guess that there is a simpler way to do it.

  Just to be more precise - I want to be able, for example, to create a rectangular shape and then erase the inside shaped "bird" so that when putting it on on a different color background, the bird is different color. The thing is that I really need of the area 'bird' to erase and change the colors (as I usually do) wouldn't work this time.

  Draw the 'internal' with any tool with which you are comfortable. Important is that the shape is surrounded by a path (to play with lines, brushes or effects or similar). Then select 'outside' (the rectangle or other) and the 'internal' and create a compound path (Cmd/Ctrl + 8)

  I'll answer one of your three messages that asked this question.  If possible, please remove the other two.

  Hover and dragging moves the axis as it should.  The cursor turns into a hand to indicate the area brushed, it moves.

  Hover over the pin code, press the Alt/Opt key and drag left and right and the effect will become less and more.   The cursor turns into a two-headed arrow to indicate that the function of the drag has changed.  If you are not hovering over a pin code and press the Alt/Opt, then the cursor turns into a brush to erase to remove the adjustment every time you paint.
