Browser crash, restart on its own, can not do the system restore. Help!

OK, so I tried EVERYTHING I know how to do, and some things I did research.

Whenever my computer restarts itself, I get an error message saying that there is a faulty driver.

I checked my drivers with the audit tool, nothing.

I uninstalled all unnecessary programs I could find (nothing critical, just programs like Glary Utilities, Acrobat, Flash etc..).

Eventually I got to a point where everything I did was to get worse, and my computer told me that Windows did not start upward.  I rebooted in safe mode and tried to do a system restore.  Cannot restore point to restore I get an error indicating that the system restore was not successful.  I tried FOUR different restore points.

I'm at my wits end!

I don't have my Windows XP cd, or one of the disks with the computer came.  This used to be my computer at work, but let me keep as part of my departure, so all the disks are in the old company.

Please help :(

Please transmit the full text of the error message.

You used the phrase "everything I've done." In addition to uninstall unused programs, what else do you have?

If your company gave you this PC, they should have you good discs too. Fortunately, Dell XP Pro installation CD are ubiquitous and interchangeable. First of all, contact Dell to see if they can issue you a. Otherwise, see if anyone you know has one.

A number of security (for example, Norton and Zone Alarm) programs interfere with the restoration of the system. If you identify your security programs, we can tell you how you can get the system restore to work. For now, these pages can help:

You should be able to disable your restarts automatically in this way:

Finally, what is the status of this PC malware?

    Thank you.

Help us understand what "I lost the ability to restore the system" actually mean for you...

Are you unable to launch/open the system restore?
Are you unable to create a new Restore Point manually?
Your system restore calendar is empty dates?
You preform a restore and get a message that has failed or nothing has changed?

If the restore in safe mode will not do, keep reading:

It would be useful to know a few things about your system:

What is your system brand and model?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

What do you see (exactly) that you don't think you should see, and when you see it?

What do not you think that you should see?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

I had my Alienware X 51 R3 since January, and she did great until last month when whenever I tried to go to my history on Google Chrome, it would go to a screen saying that it needed to restart.

I decided to do a system restore but never finished restoration, that my computer just went to a black screen.

Now, whenever I try to start my computer all I get is the Alienware logo and the points of rotation, it will be glitch at halfway thru the initialization of the process and continue with the points of rotation, then the screen goes black.
