  • Cannot open the browser Internet Explorer V11 PDF files

    Hello

We have a problem with the display of PDF files from the Internet Explorer browser.

This problem appears to have occurred after our global deployment of Internet Explorer 11.  We already had Internet Explorer V9.

We are running Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10

    A temporary workaround is:

    GoTo IE-> tools-> manage add-ons

Select the PDF Adobe Reader Plugin (you may need to show all modules)

Disable the add-on Adobe PDF Reader

    Close Internet Explorer

    Open Internet Explorer

    GoTo IE-> tools-> manage add-ons

Select the PDF Adobe Reader Plugin (you may need to show all modules)

    Select the Adobe Reader Plugin

We have shown that the question does not return only rarely and the user must repeat the above steps to resolve.

We found that after the user activates the plugin again once the below registry key is deleted (as shown below)

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings\ {CA8A9780-280D-1 1See-A24D-444553540000}]
    "VerCache" = hex: 00, 62, 61, c7, 40, aa, 01, 00, 62, 61, c7, 40, aa, 01, 00, 00, 00, 00, 40,.
    D6, 09, 00, 00, 00, 0, 00, 25, 00, 03, 00, 00, 00, 0, 00, 25, 00, 03, 00, 09, 04, 00, 00

If the user has the registry key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings\ {CA8A9780-280D-11CF-A24D-444553540000}] then the user is not able to display PDF files in the browser Internet Explorer 11.

What causes the registry key to create?  Any help is much appreciated as we seek a long-term solution.

    Hello

IE9 is the latest version of Internet Explorer for Vista.

Do not try and uninstall anything.

And support for Google Chrome was completed by Google in April 2016.

Firefox is an option for you and is the way a lot of people take.

You can't simply upgrade to any operating system that you think can work, as older machines maybe isn't able to run of new operating systems.

Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.

There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.

Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.

Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

Check if the manufacturer of your computer/laptop has Windows 8.1 drivers available for your model.

If this is not available, Windows 8.1 not install and work properly for you.

There is a lot of information in this first link from Microsoft:

How can I get rid of Internet Explorer so that I can check my e-mail account in Firefox? Tried to turn on or off windows features in Control Panel. no help? I use windows 7
    Thanks BobW

First of all, you don't need to remove IE. Windows allows programs to use components of Internet Explorer, so removing may well break things unexpectedly.

Second, the Firefox you used to post this thread to date for me look. Have you tried to verify your account in Firefox? If you are clicking on a link and Windows will launch it is to say automatically, try to copy the address in the address bar of IE in a new tab in Firefox and press ENTER to load the page in Firefox.

  • Run code when the browser Internet Explorer closes

Help!  I'll try to find a way to execute a SQL statement when a user closes a window IE (x).  I found information on the onBeforeUnload event but I've been unsuccessful to enforce.

Does anyone have another suggestion?  It is even possible to run code to the closing of a window?

    Thank you!!!

You should be able to use the OnSessionEnd event.

Won't happen immediately, but it will happen when ColdFusion determined to close the session.

You can control how long it is with parrameters as sessionTimeOut in a tag or this scope of Application.cfc file properties.  Would you use anyway for the OnSessionEnd event handler.

Is not possible. URLs is delegated to the OS that does what it is

    set up to do.

The link itself (and Acrobat/Reader in general) has no way to interfere

  • OAS / provides access to the files for Internet Explorer browser

    Hello

I would like to provide access to the files for browser Internet Explorer with a Url of type https://myserver.com:443 / photos

    How is this thing?

    Thank you
    A.G.

    Here's what you do:

    1. ensure that your /pictures directory is a subdirectory in the htdocs directory. By default the htdocs directory is $OH/Apache/Apache/htdocs. If you have directory default htdocs, so your images created under that directory place your files. If your photos directory will be $OH/Apache/Apache/htdocs/images

-Edit $OH/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf to make sure that you have following set of guidelines:

    AllowOverride All

    AccessFileName .htaccess

Note that this is a security concern to set AllowOverride to all, then you should put carefully. See below for more details on the AllowOverride directive:
    http://httpd.Apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/core.html#AllowOverride

-In your /pictures directory, create a file with the name .htaccess with a single line:

    Options + Indexes

See below for more details on 'Options ':
    http://httpd.Apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/core.HTML#options

-C' is this, restart your OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) and access after URL to see the list of directories:
    http://myserver.com:7777 / images

If you want to list directories only happen via the SSL port (443), then you can have above guidelines defined in in $OH/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.conf.

    Thank you

  • Skype create history entries in Internet Explorer for taboola sites

    Hi all

I found that when I open Skype, and ads in the interface are loaded, a couple of entry appear in my browser Internet Explorer 11 story... See the link trc.taboola network:

    https://TRC.taboola.com/MSN-Skype-Italy/log/3/available

    https://TRC.taboola.com/MSN-Skype-Italy/log/3/visible

Not so clear why Skype can do, but that's the fact. Please note that I already did several AdWare scan, my PC is clean, the events that create the history entries is only open the Skype Interface.

    Version of Skype: 7.28.80.101

    IE: 11.589.10586.0

As it says in the wiki article, Tabola is a supplier site legitimate ad. I guess, the ads you see in your Skype are provided by this site, and that's why you see entries in IE referring to this site.

  • the links are not accessible in Internet Explorer

The beginning of my site can be found at http://www.eversnug.com/holmeschiropractic. On my index page I am facing a problem that manifests itself ONLY in Internet Explorer. In Firefox, Safari and Opera, this problem is not apparent. During this time it takes to my page loading, the browser Internet Explorer recognizes four blue buttons at the bottom of the page and the form fields in the box "Request an appointment" and the links in the box to "Get Directions". When that time passed, however, and the page is loaded, all these elements become unusable or inaccessible. It's almost as if a transparent object to the higher z-index gets load on top of all these elements and covering them. I know this isn't the case, I'm just trying to describe the behavior. To compare, I've a bit of my site hosted links, and you will be able to see that the keys blue all work very well on all the pages, but the index page. Also, I copied the code of the 'Route' box on the drbenbio.html page so that you can compare this aspect, as well. Please keep in mind that this is the work of an amateur by five weeks and he was only partially. In addition, it is only on the internet at all so that I can get help with this question. I hope it's some coding error that is so ridiculously simple that I just cry when someone reports. I looked for more than ten hours trying at the bottom of this. Please save me!

If I turn off javascript and links work. If the culprit is one of your .js

  • If I change my Firefox browser rather that Internet Explorer, I've always will have access to my files that were saved using IE? Please an answer non-techie.

I received notice that my browser (IE) is obsolete and will be soon be unsupported. All of my files have been saved in Internet Explorer, and I'm afraid I won't be able to access it if I change to another browser, but I'll soon lose access to them in any case, I guess. Is this true? Do you have any suggestions? I am a person without a lot of tech knowledge please answer using the no-tech language.
I may answer since my person tech is my daughter who may have questions or slower information.

    Thank you.

Yes, you will still have access to your files even if they have been saved through IE.

  • I have Firefox as my main browser, but it took on my Internet Explorer browser page. If I want to use that is I can't. Instead, I get a Firefox download page

Firefox works fine. It's my main browser. But I have two of them (?) Now I have no Internet Explorer (which I use too and I also use Google when I choose to do so). But when I click on the icon that is, loading a Firefox page asking me to download Firefox, I already have the latest version of. Sometimes, I need all 3 different browsers. NOT 2 Firefox browsers. I need to have my be restored and I cannot figure out how to do. Firefox has not only updated my regular main Firefox browser, but it also took over the I.e. browser, too.

Firefox is a separate web browser (for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux), as it integrates with IE isn't a shell for IE on Windows.

Are you sure that your IE is not just opening to www.mozilla.org url in the address bar to download Firefox?

Have WIN 8.1 and running Internet explorer as web browser cannot get Thunderbird to be my e-mail by default Web pages, keeps wanting to use MAIL!

About the prior Toad Hall "Windows default" comment. That was really the key to the problem - windows by default does not work unless ALL the boxes on Thunderbird are checked. I had used TB along right but wanted to send a few photos and the default TB has not been recognized, though even I had used for a few months. Where discover the box the letters on TB has been verified not a made only of the disappearance of the problem. Tried the default Windows repeatedly route to nothing does not.
