Browser issues on Vista after update KB977165 security

The other day I installed upgrading security KB977165. Later, I noticed problems both of the browsers that I use - IE8 and Firefox 3.5. I could use a browser once, but after closing cold not reopened or the other. If I rebooted the computer, I could still use a browser once. Recalling the only software modification that I had done - update KB977165 - Finally I uninstalled it. There has been no problem browser since.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with this security update? I see other problems with this update in various forums, but none with the browsers.

Glad to know that you have understood the cause for the problem you are experiencing, it is much appreciated!

This problem occurred because of the conflict between the present security software on the computer and the update.

I suggest to install the Update KB977165 via a stand-alone package, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: first, disable security software, follow the steps mentioned below

Note: Activate security software once it's all done.

Step 2: Download the update hard disk (on the desktop).

Access the menu advanced startup options by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced startup options select safe mode

Now try to install the update that KB977165 saved on the desktop, once the update is installed restart the computer in normal mode and check if the problem persists.

    Okay, so I built a brand new pc last night. A worked like a charm, perfectly executed and all. Installed a new sound card, opened it and a few minutes put in my computer, install the drivers and had it works perfectly. Windows loaded perfectly, no problem at all anywhere. Then I'll update the drivers for the sound card, a large download but he finished. He was trying to install the drivers, then while he was, I've been on google chrome on facebook and then randomly, I lost the internet connection. My receiver wifi for my computer was fine and turned on and running great, but for some reason any my computer does not pick up a signal even if all my other devices don't.     I've recently updated to an iMac of retina with i7 4.0 Ghz and 512 GB SSD and 32 GB of RAM. I also bought an external LaCie Big 1 TB drive which has 1 300 MB/s read/write speeds and put my Lightroom library, photos and ACR cache on this drive.

    In view of these changes, I expect an increase in the performance of my previous system. However, I see the opposite. In Lightroom when I apply a preset, I sometimes get a beach ball of rotation for a few seconds before she applies. The display on these new iMacs is so gigantic that the standard preview size is way too small (the max is 2880 pixels long, which is a factor of 2 too small for the retina display). The machine of the retina has 4 x as many pixels as the iMac 27 "older. The difference in speed between 4.0 Ghz and 3.5 GHz is not enough to compensate for this difference in number of pixels that should be calculated from the raw to catch up so you should see a decrease in the speed if you're using Lightroom full screen. Try the Lightroom window about 1/4 of the screen and see if that changes things.

    Do you have a code error message when you try to run the system restore?

    Check if you can get into safe mode. If you manage to get into safe mode, then you can run the restore of the system from there. Otherwise, another option is to perform the Startup Repair.

    Method 1: Troubleshooting Safe Mode

    Safe mode is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer with only basic services and features.

    Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

    1. a System Restore to before the updates:

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

    If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.
