BSOD in the Vista virus infection, no safe mode, restore the system or atartup repair...

Ideas: Hi guys.

I have a problem I know is due to a virus.
I downloaded a file I found was a plugin for Photoshop and the zip format file.
I open the zipped file and it contained an .exe file I scanned with Mcafee, comes it back scanning without any problem with the file and I opened it. Then the screen went all multicoloured and froze. I rebooted and got the blue screen of death.

I ran the recovery tools and getting no joy with repair or start System Restore.
Memory Windows reported no problems with memory and I can see all my files in the command prompt window. I can't start my laptop computer in mode without fail or (BSOD)
0X0000007E ERROR CODE (0 X 0000005, 0X85D98113, 0X8B36B780, 0X8B36B47C)

I also run chkdsk c: /r and it stops at 73% on stage 5 and the need to be able to get back on, it happens every time on 73%
I also tried sfc and its says that a system repair is underway and must restart... so cannot get SFC to work?

Please can you help me get back, need my laptop to work?

I use my laptop running Xp, so I can download files if I need to.

The laptop I have to operate is under Vista.

Any help please!
Thank you very much

  • Satellite L300-29U - Vista crashes, even in safe mode

Hi, I really hope there is someone out there who can help me, my laptop does not work (properly) more, and I don't know what is the cause.

    * The short version: *.

Two days ago my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason. It did not (without Ctrl-Alt-Del, etc), I could only move the pointer. Since then, has happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

    * Details: *.

I have a Satellite L300-29U (about 3.5 years) with Windows Vista.
Two days ago the computer is not responding, after running normally for a few hours. I had not installed a new hardware or software. Even the clock had stopped. Only the pointer could be moved, but clicking on had no effect, or no has Ctrl-Alt-Delete. I stopped him via the power button. It restarted normally, I opened it then Firefox, but shortly after the same problem has emerged.
I selected the Mode without fail to start and then let my antivirus (Avira) program a complete check of the system. The computer froze again after about an hour and 30% in the analysis. (Curiously, the timer showing how much time had passed since the beginning of the analysis was still running, but had stopped the clock of the computer.)
Later, I tried another full analysis and again once it froze. Before that, I ran a few quick scan negative that came.

In general, I find that Windows starts fine, but in normal mode it freezes pretty quickly when I try to do something. In safe mode, it freezes more quickly, but it's still sometimes.

I also tried the "repair your computer" option at startup.
    -System Restore does not help
-Memory Diagnostic is not a problem

Searching online, I found suggestions for select command prompt and try to chkdsk. My conclusions:
-chkdsk c: /f gives no indication of errors. The only thing that might be unusual is the following message at the end (translated from Dutch): "cannot transfer the log to the event log messages. Status 50. »
-chkdsk c: /r /f results in a blue screen, each time to the same point in the process, namely, the 4th stage (verification of the data of the file), after having transformed the 133 634 files. The blue screen that appears shows the following:

    -----
    QUOTE
A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
    (...)
    Technical information: * STOP: 0 x 00008086 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
    WORDS
    -----

    * Things I have NOT tried (again): *.

-Execution of TOSHIBA hard drive recovery
    -Formatting the hard drive

Why not try these again is that I still have a glimmer of hope that he might be up to a corrupt file, and I don't want to use a gun if it turns out to be a mosquito.

I tried to look online for questions asked by people with problems and similar symptoms, but I find not only the case with some similarities, not exactly the same thing.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    > Two days my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason
Above all it s sign parts hardware problem as a module of memory or the motherboard can cause this.

    > Since it happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

The command chkdsk access and HARD drive tests so it could also be that the HARD drive is the troublemaker.

From my point of view, you should start the recovery and should set the device to the factory settings.
If the device would not work even after you have used the factory condition, I guess that one of the mentioned parts malfunctions.

  • Vista Start, not even SAFE mode

I shut down my computer because I was going out of town for a week (normal shutdown).  When I came home and tried to start - does not work...  Gets that "Microsoft corporation" with the movement of the green bars, then remove the screen and sits for HOURS - there is a light that flashes on my machine, as if it is 'thinking', but never gets beyond that point.  I did F8 and tried to "repair", start of last known good config, etc etc, and none doesn't get beyond that point.  Does not start in any type of safe mode (at the same point, then just ' is).  My HP came with Vista (32 bit) pre-installed so I don't have a boot CD, so I can't even do a system restore (which would be my last resort anyway).  I have watched the current positions, but have not found one where SAFE mode (also) would not work.

I access the configuration and can get to the F8 screen, but beyond that, nothing works.  "According to me" I have disabled the 'error' restart, but do not know if the system got far enough to achieve.

Any suggestions on what to try next?  It is possible that an update was applied just before my system stop - I think that I put to download, but not until I told it, but am not 100% positive.  Also, I have Norton 360 installed if this can be relative - but of course, I can't seem to him to disable...

P.S. I'm on my laptop which was closed during the same period of time, but it came without a problem (64 - bit Vista, so perhaps what makes the difference).

It is a problem these days not having is not appropriate for work on computer diskettes.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Above is the link to do a repair disk for Vista work and information on how to do everything.

Download the ISO file, make your disc, reboot with it and try the normal repair paths.

And the system restore is different for the recovery of the system. System Restore puts your computer to a date when everything worked correctly.

System recovery is to the standards of the factory.

    See you soon.

  • I get BSOD after Bios flash, can connect in safe mode.

    Hi all

I use a laptop HP DV3145 DX, OS is win 7 Home Basic (it came with the laptop).

A few days ago my screen started to behave erratically. The lower part of the screen is blurred and was unreadable. So I have updated Bios with the HP support assistant.

After I flashed the bios, I could connect to windows, but every time I log on to the windows it crashed (BSOD) after 30 to 60 seconds.

I could connect to the computer in safe mode

    That's what I did

    1. connected in safe mode and disabled all startup program (used Msconfig), with the exception of microsoft. This did not help.

2 activated the player HP_tools disk management and I see the Bios, Bios_new file is there.

Now, what should be my next step? I want to factory reset as my last option, I have a lot of settings, digital certificates, backups of phone in this machine, those who are important to my work.

I think to Flash the Bios to the previous version to see if that helps. Now, I don't consider myself a very experienced user. So if anyone can tell me how to Flash the bios to the older version, I'll be grateful.

I would also like to hear any other suggestions, others may have.

    * PS: I can't update windows drivers (I've updated about a month ago), because the 3 G dongle that I use is not having recognized in safe mode.

    Thanks in advance,

    Magassa

You should not have flashed the BIOS. Updating the BIOS is not a magic solution to all the problems. You must perform as the first response to a problem with your laptop because it adds an element of risk.

You should use the diagnoses instead. Press the power button and immediately press the ESC key. In the start menu, choose to press the F2 key to invoke diagnostics. Perform a system test, a test of memory, a hard drive test and a test video.  Let us know what are the results of the diagnostic test. The image is a more recent version that is installed on the hard drive of your laptop, but is still pretty similar.

  • Qosmio F50 - BSOD after loggin into Windows and only safe mode works

    Hi all!

I have read many posts on the forum and they are all a great help... very good community... but I fear now, I'm the one who has problems ask for help...

I have a Toshiba Qosmio F50 with Windows Vista and I've updated 3 days ago the pilots of the BIOS, Fingerprint Software and software of face recognition to the latest versions with updates on the official website of toshiba. After that, I got a blue screen, 4 hours later, and since then I connect just Windows and 10 seconds later... BLUE SCREEN! and no other choice than to unplug the computer and switch off. I can only log in Mode without failure.

Unfortunately I can't get windows to a State of previows that I don't have the option to save backups of active recovery.

Guys do you have an idea what could wrong? Or how world you this problem?

Any ideas would be welcome. I'm starting to get very frustrated after 3 days in the problem... Thank you very much!

    * Niter *.

    Hello

I agree with Luke. It of really impossible that this error would be caused by one of the tools updated Toshiba.

I see in your post a few notifications on DivXsm.exe which is placed in the system32 folder and Skype.exe.

In my opinion, there is a compatibility issue with 3rd party applications that are installed on your laptop.
I have no idea why this has happened after the execution of some updates, but it seems that the system has been confusing upward.

As suggested by Luke, you could start the recovery using the Toshiba HDD recovery option.

    Check it!

Help, please... HP says they can do a refurb more money that the laptop is worth.

    Hi Volatus,

I would say lets you do a system restore using the Windows Vista DVD to one hour before the update that has the problem of the installation and check if you are able to boot.

What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?

    I hope this helps.

  • How to create a system in safe mode restore point?

How can I create a system restore point when Windows is started in safe mode (without network)?

Help and Support says to click on "here" (link) to open the system (Control Panel), then click on the System Protection in the left pane.

When Windows starts normally, Protection system is indeed in the left pane, as shown below.

But the Circle line does not appear in the control panel system, when it is running in safe mode.

Obvious workaround: create the system in normal mode restore point.  But I prefer to do it in safe mode.  Not allowed?

Creating a Restore Point requires the Volume Shadow Service to run. This service does not run in Mode safe, so you cannot create a restore mode safe Point. However, you can use a script in Normal Mode to create a Restore Point.

  • Vista virus infection

I have an infected computer. It does not allow me to enter microsoft.com and doesn't let me go to the email or any site that sells packages of security internet, I downloaded the Security essentials to another computer and copied to the infected computer.  How can I get the Essentails of security working on an infected computer. Most of the security would not be operational, and I know that I still have my Virus.

Most anti-malware products will not properly install on an already infected computer. See this thread - http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/msescan/thread/87058857-d181-4019-a723-efd9a49d9275 you can get help with the removal of the malware here.

  • Black screen during the connection (Vista) very well in safe mode...

OK, so yesterday I run my registry any clean my computer was fine... when I turned on it today it says windows had not been turned off correctly and to check for errors... I looked at this process as I always do, as it is rare for this to happen. I noticed that he began scanning of files obtained in about 8000-9000 and began to repeat the sweep of 8000-9000 repeatidly files as if stuck. All of a sudden he jumped past and began to say something on the amendment of security for these files or something (I'm not completely computer literate so I did not understand what he was saying). Ive read about 1000 pages on the internet and they are able to get the Task Manager in regular mode (which I can't) or used a malware FVIIland been fine... Im stuck about what should my computer for Friday run applications of uni and I'm all that hair out as I'm going bald and I shaved my head yesterday... Help, please.

Thanks in advance for the answers,

    Jahsus.

You run a registry cleaner a week? You play with fire. You
    should never run it.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • (Repair) virus killed file system; What is the best way to rebuild the system?

System of Vista Business 32 bit SP2 from my child was hit in the wrong by a virus; When you run the repair virsu he deleted system files infected and he now gets repeat BSOD.

No, the Startup Repair is not going to fix the system, and the virus seems to have killed all the restore points. also can not get SFC / SCANNOW to run correctly.

So: I went to (a huge field of) struggling to set up a Slipstream installation DVD of Vista SP2 (since the original installation disc supplied with the system was only vanilla Vista).  I thought that I could load that and select the 'Upgrade' option and simply rebuild the Windows system, keeping all my programs and data.

But no, after loading, the system informed me that "upgrade has been disabled", as well as the comment for clarification: "-to update, launch the windows installation"-that sure I can "t do since I can't display the corrupt system virus even in safe mode.

    SO - I have a few questions:

    (1) FIRST: was first my hypothesis?  In other words, if I COULD bring up Windows on the machine damaged (even if only in safe mode), would be the upgrade, go ahead and work - whereas the old system corrupted virus was also VISTA SP2?  Or - the installation would inform me that he could NOT make an upgrade because it would detect that the previous version was indeed also VISTA SP2 and therefore "knowledge" that he could not (really) do an upgrade?

    (2) assuming that the answer to #1 is 'yes', then: is there a version of Vista Installable (same one I might need to buy) that could make the upgrade, even if the Windows system being upgraded can not come?  IF this is NOT the case: what is an installable version upgrade of Windows 7?  or it is the sad reality that no matter what version of Windows I buy, I can't choose the 'Upgrade' option unless the installation is load/run Windows on the upgraded system?

From previous posts, I have all kinds of good advice on how to retrieve data on corrupted system files, so if there is no other alternative, I'll do it - but this is my last resort because:

b its a lot of your time working are going to extract all the files and

    (b) his work even more of your time then having to charge all third party software (including some I have no disks to install for more) if I find myself

having to do a clean install of Windows.

So, if there is no alternative to an upgrade - if I have to shell out some $$ for a new version of Windows, I prefer to do that.

    Appreciate all advice-

    Hello RDougShelton,

Take a look at the following article:

    Cleaning a compromised system
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc700813.aspx

If there is a virus on that system, in other words, there is no way to be always sure that she has been completely removed outside of the shaping machine and put it back.

There is no guarantee that an inplace upgrade will fix this problem.

I recommend to backup your data you mentioned in your original post.

    Best regards

  • BSOD on startup Vista crcdisk.sys

    Hello.
    I just installed Vista SP2.

    Rebooted and everything went well.

I've also updated my BIOS of motherboard (Intel G35EC) to its latest version.
At the next restart I got BSOD, and the system restarted before I could read anything.

I tried 'Safe Mode'. It loads the files, and then gets the file: crcdisk.sys crashes for a few seconds and then restarts.
I tried to change the settings for the SATA controller to IDE emulation still with no success.

What could be? How I can fix?

    Thank you.

Uh, did him updated BIOS might have something to do with it?
He has clearly stated that it has installed SP2, rebooted and everything was fine, then it has updated its BIOS and now he has problems.

    Thank you
