BSoD on install Skype

So, I use Skype for AGES on my old computer. I just upgraded a bit small for a better. I tried to install Skype on this computer and I go through the installation process, but whenever I try to open Skype, I get a BSoD. Any help?

Alright! I'm finished! I used Microsoft Fix It to uninstall the program, and I've finally finished! Thanks to all who read and helped!

  • Installed Skype and my email was hacked w / I hours

I'm not sure I want to use this program if it is not secure.

Gmail informed me this morning that someone from Luxembourg, showing a Skype IP tried to hack my account just a few hours after I installed Skype. I had not yet USED Skype yet, with the exception of the test call.

Is it just a freak coincidence or Skype open holes in your security?

Don't leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

    I see.
When importing you will need to login with your Gmail Skype account so that Skype can search your Gmail contacts and see if there is Skype users. This is why he gives IP Skype, this is a normal behavior and it's done via a secure connection. Your Gmail account has not been hacked.

If you have received an error message then the importation of Gmail contacts then please report this to the customer service, but if no contact has been found then if none of your Gmail contacts has linked to the Skype account Gmail address?

If you know for sure that one of your Gmail contacts has a Skype account that is not already in your contact list, then it is also something needs to study customer service.

  • I installed Skype on my Nokia E63, but the problem is I couldn't connect. Why is this?

So, I installed Skype before and it worked just fine. Then last month, when I opened it, I couldn't connect. I uninstall and reinstall it again in the hope that it could solve the problem but stil I couldn't connect. I checked if my phone is still supported and still is. Of course, it is always conpatibe with the BONES of my phone because I can still find it on Ovi Store. Anyone who can help me? Thank you!

Mine works now. :) I have to uninstall and reinstall until I finally connected. For the problem of "Certificate expired", just change the date on your phone eralier at least 2 years. I put 2011. Then download Skype again. I hope this helps!

  • Re: Satellite L300-1AP BSOD when installing Windows XP

I have a new L300-1AP and would like to intall XP Pro but when I try it I get the stop message 0x0000007b.

Made a new installation disc integrated with all updated sata drivers, I still get the message. I'm not sure about how I would install drivers of third party on the F6 function because it has not a diskette and cany to find how to do the same thing in a CD anywere.

I appreciate that we should all try to use the vista OS that came with it, but it is a problem of compatibility with older software that I use.

    Can anyone help please?

In the Microsoft Knowledge Base is an article about it:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3ben-us%3B324103&x=17&y=8

I think that there is something wrong with the SATA drivers. My Satellite L300 works with XP without problems or BSOD when installing.

The SATA drivers are in this package, and the Intel Storage Manager you can download on the Toshiba site.
You can create your own installation with nLite (http://www.nliteos.com/) disc.
If I have integrated the SATA drivers, you do not have to press F6. The HARD drive will be automatically recognized.
