BSOD when installing MS Server 2003 on Satellite Pro U400-153?

Hello

No idea why I get a blue screen crash when I try to install MS Server 2003 on a Pro u400 153? Load the drivers etc and then is about to launch the installation but fails.

I try to install the 32-bit edition.

Thank you

Paul

Maybe your MS Server 2003 disc doesn t contains the necessary SATA drivers.
The SATA drivers are important for detecting HARD drive!

As I m not wrong not the U400 supports an Intel chip and therefore, you need the SATA of Intel matrix Storage Manager driver files!

You will find many threads in this forum regarding this topic so much search for, read and learn

Good bye

I wanted to put the larger HARD drive in the U400 but the screws that hold the HARD drive in the laptop are closer together on the 160 GB HARD drive as this 120 GB HARD drive and so I can plug the HARD drive, but I can't replace the casing on the bottom of the laptop. I want to upgrade and put in a new HARD drive, but I can't seem to find any info on weither all readers will be the right size. will be the screws on this form? How will I know

    Thank you

    Hey,.

Theoretically, you can install each HARD drive with SATA 2.5 form factor interface in Satellite Pro U400.

If you install a new HARD drive in Satellite Pro U400, you must use the old disk cover/case HARD to install.
I put t know what you mean exactly with that, but maybe you can upload a photo to make it clearer.

Finally and above all it doesn t matter what company it comes. You can use a Toshiba or another company HARD disk too like Western Digital, Seagate, etc..

  • Re: Satellite L300-1AP BSOD when installing Windows XP

I have a new L300-1AP and would like to intall XP Pro but when I try it I get the stop message 0x0000007b.

Made a new installation disc integrated with all updated sata drivers, I still get the message. I'm not sure about how I would install drivers of third party on the F6 function because it has not a diskette and cany to find how to do the same thing in a CD anywere.

I appreciate that we should all try to use the vista OS that came with it, but it is a problem of compatibility with older software that I use.

    Can anyone help please?

In the Microsoft Knowledge Base is an article about it:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3ben-us%3B324103&x=17&y=8

I think that there is something wrong with the SATA drivers. My Satellite L300 works with XP without problems or BSOD when installing.

The SATA drivers are in this package, and the Intel Storage Manager you can download on the Toshiba site.
You can create your own installation with nLite (http://www.nliteos.com/) disc.
If I have integrated the SATA drivers, you do not have to press F6. The HARD drive will be automatically recognized.

  • Problems installing Windows Server 2003 on a T61

    Hello:

I had installed Windows Server 2008 on a T61 and it was an installation smoothly with minor hickups.

But some of the other required packages Windows 2003 Server (they do not support Server 2008 yet!). So I started to install Windows Server 2003 and that's where I found a lot of questions:

    1. I had to change the SATA in compatibility mode (Windows installation has complained that no hard drive found).

    2. I installed Windows Server 2003.

    3. I can't get the wireless network adapter to work. I tried the drivers for Windows 2000/XP on the Lenovo site, but the system does not recognize the card.

    4. the Device Manager lists the devices unrecognizable following three:

Network controller (must be the wireless card. Properties/Details says "PCI VEN_8086 & DEV... »)

Controller memory PCI (properties/details says "PCI VEN_8086 & DEV... »)

    Unknown device (properties/details says "ACPI\ATM1200\4 & 374CCB25 & 0")

    5. when I insert a USB key, it is recognized and a new disk is assigned. However, I have an external USB drive and when I plug that in, the system does not recognize the drive.

    Help, please.

    Vincent

    Roz:

Yes, the wireless works on my laptop. Send me a private message and I can send you the driver that worked.

So far, I've installed VMWare ESXi which was supported on 2950 but I settled with XenServer 6.5.0 and I 2003 server running as a virtual machine which works very well.

I have a Dell XPS workstation I have recently reinstalled Windows 7 on it but I had only one drive is connected and the operating system could not see all of the hard drives. After that a second device and do not use raid on this machine, I was able to install Windows. I tried the ISO Live Dell 2850 version but it is not a. Which includes diagnostic tools. I understand you are trying to install XP on a system initially provided with Win7 and a SATA hard drive. (?)

If so, you will need create an installation disc custom XP who 'slipstreamed' the disk SATA drivers.

You will need the drivers of the controller to present at the F6 prompt.  They are native to the Server 2008 R2 DVD, but not in 2003.  Download this DVD ISO to help load the drivers of the controller for your server and load the operating system: http://downloads.dell.com/sysman/cdu_1.6_core_173_A01.iso

  • Satellite Pro U400 - 15 p - BSOD if I install Windows XP

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400 - 15 p. Unfortunately I can't install Windows XP Home Edition, because the error pops up on the beginning of the installation (nr of error: STOP: 0x0000007B (0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).) I couldn't install Linux as well.
    Is this normal?

What should I do before installing Windows? Should I first all the drivers? And how to install without Windows?
Maybe it is some property damage?

PS. I'm not very good with computers, so I need simple explanation (step by step - how to install Windows). ;)

Use NLite software and include files
    iaAhci.cat
    iaAHCI.inf
    iastor.cat
    iaStor.inf
    IaStor.sys

    on the Windows XP disc
Then take this new drive and use it for booting and Installing Win XP.

  • Re: Satellite Pro U400-160 - freezes when copying larger files or videos

    Hello:

I have a Satellite Pro U400-160 and a VERBATIM external hard drive USB eSATA combo.

If I turn on AHCI mode recognizes the drive, but when copying the video files or large file size, the system is frozen. However if I remove the mode AHCI works correctly. I have the version 9.8.9.1023 Intel (r) Matrix Storage Manager and my laptop BIOS v4.0 and Windows Vista Business.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Normally the AHCI mode has nothing to do with an external HARD drive. It is only important for the internal HARD disk if you install Windows.

Anyway, you have installed all the updates of Windows for Vista?
In addition, you should test another external HARD disk or with another cable.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro U400 freezes sometimes when the power cord is plugged

Hello! I know that this problem has been addressed here and there, but I'd like to open a new thread about it. Here's the scenario.

I recently bought a new Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-247 (PSU45E) with two batteries: (a) the original, (b) in addition purchased authentic of Toshiba PA3636U-1BRL, 7200 mAh. The laptop has the latest BIOS (4.80) and the latest drivers downloaded from Toshiba and installed (ConfigFree is not installed). I use XP Pro SP3 (own installation by myself). Everything works fine, except for one thing:

Sometimes (but), when the laptop is running on battery power and I plug in the power cord, everything hangs and I have to restart. A few observations:

    It tends to occur more frequently when the low battery alarm has rung;
    (b) it seems to happen more frequently with the 7200 mAh battery and less frequently with the original battery.
    (c) it seems to happen most often when a USB device (mouse, for example) has been linked to the laptop, but it is not a rule;
    (d) it seems to happen less often when I move the mouse USB at the time wherever I am connect the power cord.
    (e) I've experimented a lot with Toshiba PowerSaver settings (for example to change the levels of CPU for my profile) but nothing I changed seems to change the situation.
    (f) I tried different suggestions I found on various forums, but nothing works (for example the BIOS settings);
    (g) otherwise, I can say that I have not really seen a smoother computer, everything works really fine, no other problem :)

Everything that makes me think it must be some sort of bug in the drivers of motherboard driver PowerSaver or other drivers interact with battery, CPU or possibly USB. Y at - it an explanation to this problem and can it be rectified in some way (for example, by providing a driver update)?

    Hello

First of all, I never heard a driver from the motherboard.
There is a drive chipset or a graphics card driver. There is no such thing as a driver of the motherboard!

Look, man. laptop should work fine even the AC adapter is connected or not connected
If the laptop freezes while there might be a software problem, but in my opinion it could be hardware problem
You must reinstall the operating system if the laptop would freeze always the issue might be related to hardware

First of all the memory modules and AC adapter must be verified.
If the problem persists even using new modules and AC adapter, motherboard may be affected.

    Hello Erdem

As I see you have CD/DVD for Windows XP SP3 home edition recovery facilities. Everything worked well with the original recovery image? I have way is there a reason why you installed the new driver?
Were you informed of the new drivers (Tempro) somehow?

You have installed the drivers who exactly?

  • How to install the driver LAN for Satellite Pro A120

In fact, my problem is that I didn't know how to install the driver on my Satellite Pro A120 lan connect net throug.
The issue that there's no facility to do to complete the installation.

And theres other question that I need the Ethernet controller

My laptop was vista operating system installed, but I change and put Windows XP

    Please help me

    Hello

    LAN installation is very easy.
First of all, you need the correct LAN driver.
In order to download the LAN driver please visit the Toshiba driver page and choose your model of laptop.

Once the LAN driver has been downloaded, you will need to decompress.
Then you will need to access the Device Manager, choose the controller Ethernet (network cards) and must point to the place where the LAN driver was decompressed.

    Then finish the installation procedure.
