• Problems trying to change the display to high quality

  Hello

  I'm changing my screen of high quality in a script, once I created a document. I am aware of the restrictions relating to images previously placed, but the InDesign menu item isn't even checking to high quality screen. I tried to move to a MenuACtion, but I have problems with this too... :-( Is there a reason why it doesn't work? I get no error = it's just doing nothing.

  This does not work for the same reason that the same action in the user interface does not work: change this preference only affects windows future not exsiting ones.

  You must use the property viewDisplaySetting of the front layoutWIndow (translated in VB).

• Cannot set "display performance" high quality

  Hi guys,.

  Since the last update, I can't put "display performance" of high quality. Only quick and typical works.

  Tried with various documents, but is does not appear in the documents.

  I already rebooted my computer.

  I work on a Macbook Pro of the retina 13inch early 2015 with OSX El Captain 10.11.5

• By default of type display Performance InDesign 2015.4

  With the new GPU enhancements and updates, InDesign now defaults to the screen of high-quality on any paper. If I try to change the value default of standard or fast display in the preferences, click OK and then go back to the preferences, it is always set on high quality screen.

  A work around I have found is to just change the typical display and high quality settings, but I wonder if there is a real difficulty for this.

  Couple of workarounds:

  • Quickly change the view, click OK, go back and change to typical.
  • Leave the app, clean the prefs, raise, typical Exchange.

• High quality display - appears corrupted

  I have a problem with the display of high-quality files placed TIF (InDesign CS3 5.0.4). When seen at high magnification of that image is replaced by a black solid with diagonal lines of black and white in the upper part.

  I read in the archives of the problems of performance display and tried the suggestions, but have failed to solve the problem:

  (1) restored preferences

  Ensure that the following options are selected:

  (2) purpose of display performance > high quality

  (3) view > display performance > allow object-level display settings

  Image placement is essential with what I'm doing so because the question is normally associated with CMYK hair I usually use a gray TIF to correctly position, then replace it with the CMYK version. However, becomes more complex page layout, the gray TIF becomes too "corrupt" to a high zoom factor. Of course, the exported PDF file is always true, but I really need to look at really high magnification in InDesign.

  I close all other applications to make sure this isn't a problem for RAM, but in vain. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  I've cropped the file up to 7000 pixels and not had a problem. Have you tried PhotoshopPDF seems to work very well here.

• slug on every page?  screen high quality for an article?

  Hello world!

  I'm working on a slug for CS3 using JavaScript.  I'm placing a piece of art from Illustrator as my art of slug.  I would like to see the slug on every page.  Is it possible to do without facing the slug together for each page?

  Also, is there a way to enable the display of high quality for this item only?

  The exact syntax depends on whether or not you have pages in front. If this isn't the case, then it should do the job:

  mySlugArtFile = docRef.pages.item (0).appliedMaster.pages.item (0) concerned (' path: System: to: work: file: slug.) AI ', [baseX, baseY]);

  If you have pages in the face, you will need to put art on the two pages of the master.

I placed Indesign and Illustrator files in Indesign without going through problems of impressions pixelated. When I placed a Photoshop file in Indesign my pixelated image slightly.   You must ensure that the files have a sufficient number of pixels at a certain size and a certain ppi.

  For example, to print an image of 8 x 10 inches at 300 dpi, you need 2400 x 3000 pixels. (8 x 300 per 10 x 300)

  If you resize the image upwards in Indesign, the ppi will be reduced. Choose the image and let effective ppi in the links Panel.

  If th pixelation only happens in Indesign and not when printing, do a right-click on the image in the layout and choose display performance > high quality display.

  You can also set in display performance preferences.

  But what you see in Indesign is in any case an overview of reduced quality, not the original.

  I have a 15 "MacBookPro with Retina display, a Dell 27" inch display and a third 13.9 "BengQ show. The Dell screen works very well with the MacBook and automatically gets the optimal resolution. However, the BenQ is set to 800 * 600, which is much too low. I know that I can change resolution 'by default for view' to 'Chipped', but how I do, the change affects the Dell also, which gives good results. I want to default to the display on the Dell screen and chipped on the BenQ. How do I do that?

• Can I choose a high quality display mode in Adobe Acrobat Pro?

  When I open a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro graphics are displayed in a low quality (pixelated) which is really annoying. When I opened the same pdf in Adobe Acrobat Reader, they are displayed in high quality.

  I really want to choose a display mode of high-quality Adobe Acrobat Pro as well. Is this possible? Please help :-)

  I moved your question to one of the Acrobat forums, where it is more appropriate.

  Go to Edit - Preferences - Page display in both applications and compare the settings. If it works well in the drive then set Acrobat to be the same as those of the reader.

• Make the display of the object performance stick?

  Is it possible to make the object to show stick performance level? I have some logos that sounds weird to typical display, so I changed their object-> display-> display of high quality performance.  Only I can't find a way to save this configuration (when I save and reopen the document, they started setting usage view).  Is it possible to save this setting?

  Select Configuration preserve object-level display in the preference and make sure that you apply the quality to the object and save doc. Next time you open, only objects of high quality applied will display that way.

  They will be able to fully - or semi - generated automatically, depending on the setting of the options/preview of thumbnails (bar path, right, 2nd icon). Three options include "prefers incorporated ' (use only the internal preview), ' high quality we demand" (updated on selection) and "always of high quality' (current folder is updated). If you select the third option, bridge expected to ensure that the current folder is up to date with current renderings of your images. If he uses too much computer juice, the second option is less greedy in resources.

  There are (at least) exceptions to this rule:

  Sometimes, the bridge cache is corrupt. You may need to select the folder that contains and ' tools > Cache > purge cache for folder... "to solve this problem.

  On my computer, when you use Photoshop as a host for Camera Raw, Bridge doesn't update the thumbnail, when part of a Collection or search. I could have sworn only once, but I can't be sure.

  Sometimes bridge just refuses to cooperate, and the best policy is to restart.

  I have a newer Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and a capable v2.0 Bluetooth dongle. I use a headset Nokia BH-604. Low quality, bitrate settings is correct, 201 Kbps. But the standard and high quality (also the auto settings) parameters use the same flow rate, only 212 Kbps. transmission speeds must be AFAIK 229 Kbps and 328 Kbps. They are now far right bitrates. However, I tried Bluesoleil and it works correctly. Anyone has an idea why Toshiba does not work well?

  The new audio settings are active after next at the beginning of the Bluetooth settings. It shows 328 kbit/s for 'high quality '.

Last week, I realized that after I open each file InDesign my cursor would turn into the image of the ball (loading) and would take a while to get him back to the normal cursor.   Exact version of InDesign? Operating system?

  Try going in Edition > Preferences > display performance (Windows) or InDesign CC > preferences > display performance (Mac). Is the display by default (top) high quality? The typical display value.
