[Bug] Problem with fonts in iTunes Store 12.3.1.23 caused by Helvetica

More than 5 years the users report problems of police in the iTunes store.

End of 2015, version 12.3.1.23, I just see that this bug is not resolved:

iTunes store shows correctly, but when I activate the police "Helvetica Neue Condensed Bold - OpenType - PS, foundry Linotype AF", here's what it looks like:

I really hope that developers will find a solution to questions of the police in the future. May use... Google fonts?

Do you mean allowing police Helvetica Neue Condensed Bold is a problem, or correct a?

  • Compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes

I downloaded iTunes 9 on my Tobisha laptop Satellite last night and put about 2.5 GB of music on it. I didn't upload the music from the internet. I used MP3s, I had for a few years.

When I went to boot up the laptop this morning the loading process took some time, but it never loaded to the login screen. I just see the bottom of MicroSoft. Is there a compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes? Maybe I put too much music on my laptop?

Boot in safe mode and delete iTunes and all the music I downloaded would solve the problem? Or it is less simple than that?

Don't know where to direct this question if any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

iTunes is compatible with Vista and there should not be any problem.
Yesterday, I installed iTunes 9 on my U400 and everything happened correctly.
If your laptop can not boot Vista correctly, then you should try the repair feature.

Turn on the computer and press F8. Now you will see the advanced boot menu.
    Now, you have many choices.

As a first step, you should try the option called: last good known Configuration (Advanced)

If this will not help and the Vista will not start then try the option called repair your computer. This option displays a list of system recovery tools, you can use to repair startup problems, run diagnostics, or restore your system.

If that does not help, then you will need to retrieve the unit using the Toshiba recovery disc or HARD drive recovery.

  • Want to Phoenix 860-010: problem with fonts and the noisy fan

I have a new machine, just a day old, and I'm having a problem with fonts.  The file Explorer, Edge and other similar programs seem to go from a very readable font that lights up in half a second or less whenever I move down on the page in these applications.  Police that results is much more difficult for me to read because of the lightness that results. I have not met this problem before.  Frankly, I don't know the source of the problem.  Is it hardware (video card) or (Windows 10) operating system software?

  • Problems with fonts in InDesign CS3 in Snow Leopard

Has anyone else had problems with the font book and InDesign CS3?

Just had some new Mac Mini running Snow Leopard against Migration Assistant an old Mini. Initially, every thing seems to be great. But on the opening of the ads in Indd CS3 I noticed that fonts disappeared, even if they have been enabled in the font book.

Then I reinstalled the necessary fonts and we don't use iLife and iTools products, I traded the Helvetica TrueType for the version of Adobe.

    It does not work...

So, I have rebuilt the Mac fonts installed, once again, a CD original and installed InDesign CS3 clean (orig DVD)...

Yet once again, did not work.

Now, I know I can put fonts required in the folder Fonts in InDesign, or store them in ~/Library/Fonts, but since we have a library of 3000 + policies that manage our users with the font book, it will become unworkable.

Anyone could launch a patch or fix this, another way...?

There is a Snow Leopard update, you will need to search in preferences/software update system after the upgrade. After the reboot, this problem has been elminated for me, fortunately!

  • Problems with fonts in outline or draft publication (Captivate 4)

I still have problems with the fonts in my projects.

Standard, I use only Verdana 11 pt and pt 10 in my slides. This standard/consistency is quite obvious, when I'm viewing the slides in edit mode. However, when I preview or publish the project, the text of the slide in the slide is not consistent.

It seems that through some slides display slightly crushed Vendana... it is clearly Vendana just reduced in height. I tried various options, such as the definition of the quality mode, and so far, nothing has helped.

Please see the attachment, which should better illustrate what I describe. Each of five 100% cropped screenshots come from separate slides and I have grouped into a jpg.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Shawn

It's strange. I say this because to my knowledge, the smoothing applies ONLY to transparent captions. All other legends are not smoothed.

Out of curiosity, when you tested, have you tried each way? The setting is enabled as well as people with reduced mobility? I do suppose that it is possible that a bug exists whereby the global setting could be ignored. If so, it would be the first I've heard of him. (not that I come remotely close to being Omniscient 'end all' of Captivate trivia - LOL)

    See you soon... Rick

  • Big problems with fonts after upgrade to Yosemite

    Hello

I upgraded my macbook pro to Yosemite for more than six months and since then, I have serious problems with application of fonts in browsers and many software I use. I googled the problem over and over again and nothing seems to help.

In general, these are the main symptoms of the problem with screenshots:

1 system ads are gibberished, or better yet, appearing with something like that, instead of letters:

    2. bold letters does not at all (when I use gmail, for example) or leads to an illegible font change:

    3. hyperlinks symbols on Web sites or webmail applications simply appear as empty squares and there is no way of knowing what you click on.

Bottom line: before turning to the last option and the resettlement of Yosemite, if someone could help, I'd be more than grateful.

You probably have a lot of fonts installed garbage. Follow these steps to recover your Mac for only the fonts installed in OS X.

    (1) open the book fonts and choose restore fonts Standard menu. All third-party fonts will be moved out of the system and root of the fonts in the library files in a new folder next to each named (deleted) Fonts.

    2) click on the desktop so Finder is the name of the app next to the Apple logo in the upper left corner. Hold down the Option key and choose go > library. This will open your user account's library folder. Create a new empty folder on the desktop. Open the folder fonts in your user account. If there is something in it, move them to the new folder on the desktop.

    3) restart in Mode safe mode by rebooting and hold down the SHIFT key. When you reach the office (you need to log in Mode without failure), restart normally. Among other things, this erases all the cache files on the account of the user logged in Mode safe mode and resets the database of book of fonts for this account.

    (4) clear all remaining the system font cache files. Close all the running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal application and enter the following command. You can also copy and paste from here in the Terminal window:

    sudo atsutil databases - remove

Terminal will then ask your admin password. When you type, it will not show anything, so make sure you enter it correctly.

This command removes all the font cache files. To the system and the current connected to the user account. After you run the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.

Now test. With only fonts available provided OS and all data policies implemented cache and other such parameters cleared and reset, fonts should appear correctly in the system.

  • Problem with fonts

This isn't really a problem with Illustrator, but any help would be appreciated.

Suddenly and for no apparent reason a bunch of fonts disappeared from my menu fonts.

I use Linotype FontExplorer X to organize my fonts. I see here and many of them are enabled, but for some reason, "not available".

I tried but in vain even re-import them.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Steve,

Had you been with CC (2014), I should have suggested 4) or 6) on the list immediately. but now, I hesitated.

If illy is the only one unable to use these, I'm afraid it's his problem. Then maybe the list is justified after all (point 11) 5) is questionable, but (also) might be relevant).

You've seen before (too often), but it's here. If you have been careless enough to go with Yosemite, 6) is almost inevitable, of course.

The following is a general list of things, try when the question is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Illustrator/KB/preference-file-location-Illustrator.html

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

    Even worse, you can:

    (6) (check the box to delete the preferences), run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) to uninstall and reinstall.

  • Problem with fonts AXT (Arabic)

    Hello

Strange problem is when I open the Indesign file with fonts AXE. Its similar fonts missing but in fact there is no font is missing. I have to go to each text box and chenge the manuly to the police to solve the problem. I don't know why this is happening.

    Please check the screenshot.

    Screen Shot 2012-08-29 at 10.46.10 AM.png

his case even not but I get some answers for my case

After receiving several complaints from users Adobe ME about AXT fonts, I received an official response from the concerned team that products Adobe CS6 does not support the AXT fonts. That said, you can find some of these fonts will run well, some will have small problems, and some will be displayed at all (as in your case). Best option is to convert the AXE OpenType fonts, or buy the first hand OpenType fonts.

  • Problem with fonts for language thai

I use Indesign CS5 server and my programming language is VB.NET.

I tried with the Tahoma font for the THAI language and he had problems with the text even after assignment of metric kerning value.

Please see my requirement in the image below. I need something like the one given in the second part of the image. I had used Courier Thai in this case.

    Thai_Issue.JPG

Does anyone have an idea of what font is suitable for the thai language.

Please suggest if there is no font Verdana of size for the thai language.

    Thanks in advance... !!

I'm pretty much the same boat - I know a lot more Lao I'm doing on the thai. However, I can tell you that:

    (1) turning on the world-ready composer should solve your problems of tone-brand-placement, according to the quality of the police.

    (2) Verdana has no Thai glyphs

    3) Verdana is optimized for screen use, not for printing.

    4) given that you use vb.NET we know you are a Windows user. Microsoft just witih a bunch of fonts with Thai support, surely one of them is a good screen.

    (5) wait! Tahoma has Thai support and is a halfway decent screen.

    (6) but he is not dealing correctly because you do not have the lit world-ready composer.

    (7) I must admit that I don't know why "Courier Thai" composed properly; I suspect that it's full of hacky little tricks to make your marks properly compose on operating systems with the help of incomplete complex script.

  • Problems with fonts in Indesign

I did a new install of 10.5 currently, as well as standard CS4.

I now have problems with police in my Indesign templates. I am sure that I installed all the fonts I have before but I always get errors of police.

I have problems with the fonts have a (TT) behind their names such as Helvetica (TT).

I'm guessing that the fonts are True Type?

Any ideas of what I could do wrong?

Since I'm quite a few models I would rather not repair by yourself.

    Thanks in advance!

There are 3 types of fonts, Adobe Type I (at least 2 files for each policy with extensions *.pfb and *.pfm), (with extension *.ttf) TrueType and open Type.

And behold, I'm quite sure your problem. Open Type fonts can be found with the extension *.otf AND the spirit of expansion *.ttf. And InDesign makes the difference between OTF and TTF.

When you made the models, you have used TrueType. Somewhere between yesterday and today, you have reinstalled the police. But not the TrueType version. I guess that the version of OTF (with extension *.ttf).

    3 solutions:

    1. Reinstall the police TrueType version (and don't forget it's TrueType and non OpenType with extension *.ttf)
    2. in InDesign (in each file, sorry), replace the font (say) [TT] ARIAL ARIAL with what ever you have installed
    3. If you have (for example new Arial) installed, ignore the warning, InDesign uses the version of the font you have installed (it will look the same), but it will continue to warn you

However, I recommend the first or the second solution, they are the safest.

  • Bug/problem with Adobe CC etc on 4K scale displays

    screenshot 1.jpg

Hi, I have a problem with Photoshop in particular, but it also happens with other programs.

My screen is Ultra HD 4 K, and for this reason, the menus etc appear incredibly small next to the screen (see picture). This is the case with other programs as well (but not the very recent, such as Microsoft Office 2013).

It's the last trial version of Photoshop CC, but it also happens with my previous versions of CS3 that I installed it and my Sony Vegas software too.

I tried to lower the resolution on the computer up to 1920 x 1080 instead of the default Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) but when I do this the whole of the office becomes large and pixelated, but still a problem in Photoshop programs.

Any help would be really appreciated. I bought this laptop specifically for graphic design and illustration, but this problem that makes it impossible. Thank you.

Have you tried Edit > Preferences > experimental features > scale IU 200%...?

  • Problem with fonts. If enable hardware acceleration "BOLD" fonts look weird, but if I turn it off, "BOLD" fonts seem good, but normal fonts look weird

    Title.

With hardware acceleration: http://imgur.com/jHRk6Yl words 'empty' look and really weird air instead of being "BOLD". But if I disable it, normal fonts look "weird" in some Web sites (not all) and are difficult to read.
    Any solution?

    Thank you!

Hmm, another user Windows 10 reported this after installing some Helvetica fonts.

In your screenshot, the text 'blue indicated' is the following style rule:

    font-family: "helvetica neue",arial,helvetica,sans-serif;

So I guess you have Helvetica Neue installed locally, which seems to have strange problems in Firefox.

If you don't want to remove this font on your system, you can use custom style rules for Firefox overrides Arial, which is what I see on Windows 7 on this page. I saw the first time that documented in this article (from 2010!):
