  In the Finder, open the Applications folder. Here, find the numbers and Pages.

• Firefox icon in the dock does not appear

  I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. I was running Firefox Beta, and I decided to update to v18b2 today. It was a mistake. Firefox is still ongoing (and seems to do very well), but the dock has no icon of Firefox. I also tried to open every night (which has its own profile, I do not use my regular profile for every night), but the same problem occurred. I went down to v17 version and the same problem occurred. Without the icon in the dock I can not easily switch to another app Firefox. Firefox does not even appear when cmd-tab between apps! It still appears in the activity monitor, but it's really annoying and changing the app or the profile does not work. Fortunately, the windows appear to expose, but it is really harmful for my workflow.

• Quicken icon has been replaced with textedit icon in the dock of macOS.

  I'm under Quicken as an application of the unit and I keep the Quicken icon in the dock of MacOS.  Recently, the icon in the dock to Quicken changed to the same icon that appears with Text Edit.   I can't think of any material that have been made to my computer change.  I use a Macbook Pro 13 "mid-2009 with Snow Leopard with Vista in the virtual machine.   I keep the operating system and applications to update so I usually use the latest version and patches that are available.

  Here's what I would try to solve the problem...

  From within the guest operating system stop, not suspend the Virtual Machine and then close VMware Fusion.

  Then, delete the following folders that reside within the target computer virtual package and empty the trash. If you need assistance in the virtual computer target package take a look to: collecting information for VMware Fusion

  Remove Applications and records of appListCache who are in the target Virtual Machine package.  They will be rebuilt automatically as needed.

  Restart the Mac.

  Open VMware Fusion and runs the target Virtual Machine and open Quicken in Unity view.

  How do things look now?

  Since the upgrade to El Capitan, I noticed that the name of each application in the dock appears above the docking station in a bubble of large text when the cursor is everywhere down in the dock next to this icon of the application.  It's annoying because if I'm often pass between two or several applications, I don't want to have to keep moving the slider to the top of the screen to get the text balloons to disappear.  When the application names are present, they cover part of the screen of the app that I work.  Not sure if I remember correctly, but I thought that those who went after a period of time in older versions of OS.  I was never bothered by it as I am with El Capitan.

  Not that I am aware, no.  There is nothing in the system preferences-> Dock that allows you to disable or remove this function.

  Oops! Just found.  In the prefs system under control of the mission, there is an option to switch to a space with windows open for this application.
