  the basic facts are not very irritable im.

  laptop has two internal hard drives

  its an acer aspire 6930

  laptop fell off the couch

  Windows would not start saying hardware or software missing or damaged

  made the diagnosis of memory ok.

  discovered on the startup disk

  in fact, reinstalled windows on another hard drive and booted up

  has taken about 30 minutes to install updates

  seen through my computer my main hard drive missing

  disabled for laptop

  unscrewed the Panel underneath and had to fix the main hard drive

  now has the choice of 2 windows 7

  back photos etc. and format of hdd secondary to try away with 2 x Window 7 on startup.but can always get the option.

  now my original hard drive startup displays the message above about not genuine windows

  a speech bubble guard appearing telling me also.

  wallpaper disappears.

  I bought this laptop 18 months to 2 years for little money from someone I used to know about a car forum, which has revolved around laptops with decent spec (to the extent of the concerned in any case im) at a quite reasonable price that I was on a budget as usual

  It has a screen revalued and the additional hddrive as far as I know.

  I gave an authentic disc of windows 7 in a box with its own product key and said it was the operating system that is installed. It ran fine with no warning 'victim of possible fraud counterfeit' or something else. and he made the automatic updates, I think that all day, mainly for windows defender.

  This disk is what I'd done the re-setup on the secondary drive.

  maybe after activation on another drive it has marked as cloned? don't know how it works tbh.

  The key used is of "recovery media" for Gateway/Acer/Packard Bell at least - from what I can find easily.  If the product key that you have in the above output (* - WJ2H8 - R6B6D-7QJB7) does not match the key found, ' drive genuine windows 7 in box with its own product key "-enter the box and try to activate.  If it does not-Yes, this is the product key that Gateway/Acer/Packard Bell (at least) used to install Windows 7 on all of its systems at the factory.

  You will probably have to re-activate the account using your product key.  Try to do it manually as follows:

  To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

  If you have other issues with validation, go to the Forum of real advantage to http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/threads where the problems of Vista validation experts will be more than happy to help you with your problem.

  This should solve the problem.  If this isn't the case, please post back.
