Built-in HP Probook 6560 b in numeric keypad keyboard

Hello

Here I have a probook 6560 b with a built-in numeric keypad.

The integrated numeric keypad works fine, but the keyboard is integrated digital keypad mode (number on the letter keys) and im not able the desable it. I tried the fn + num lock key and it doesn't work.

Reinstall the drivers doesn't fix it.

I don't have the problem when the probook is a docking station.

Anyone has an idea about this problem?

I was going to say faulty keyboard, but you say that this does not happen on the dock. It's weird.
Points to the software however, try completely uninstalling the shortcut keyboard HP software. See what happens when uninstalled, and then reinstall it (download a new copy).
Check in the bios, also could be difficult to say but to see if it does the same there. (A way to check could do to set the time that you can replace the numbers)

    Hello

Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.

Maybe, but unless you see a Bluetooth device in alphabetical order in the Device Manager, it doesn't have Bluetooth.

You can also check the BIOS where it needs to be included if it is present.

  • ProBook 6560 b: HP Probook 6560 b missing Admin PWD

    Hello Experts,

Try to improve the behavior of my laptop (Probook 6560 b), I tried to install an SSD instead of the CD unit, using a Caddy.

Everything is good, but the SSD is not installed because it was not validated in the Bios.

As the admin account is not applied to the initial installation of the system, I have no password to be retrieved. Also fingerprint or stupid questions have not been activated.

I use the BIOS pass three times with no error code.

    Resetting CMOS didn't help, either.

So, if you can please help me with the clear BIOS that can help me to restart the admin check, which will be a great help.

    Thank you

  • ProBook 6560 b: battery time

The bateria of mi Laptop "ProBook 6560 b" are solo lasted 15 minutes. If compro the bateria of cartridges; cuanto seria Duración average of the nueva bateria?

    Hi CAM18,

First, you might want to ask your question on the forum of the Spanish language: http://h30467.www3.hp.com/

However, I will try to answer your question, as I can understand it.

Battery life if everything depends on what you use the laptop for.  The normal battery to the Probook 6560 b should give you the life of 3 to 5 hours before needing to be charged on average.  Using the optical drive or WiFi or other accessories will reduce the battery life.   Tasks less power can extend it.  A few other tips to increase battery life are:

    ● Reduce the brightness of the screen.

    ● Remove the battery from the computer when it is not used or charged.

    ● Store the battery in a cool, dry place.

    ● Select the standby power setting in Power Options.

(I copied these taken from the Manual Probook)

That's all what I get out of my Probook 6470 b.

  • HP Probook 6560 b windows 8 install

I put a new 80 GB of HD in my probook 6560 b.  When trying to install Win 8 of win8 standard ISO DVD it is not the disc.  I installed the latest version of the BIOS.

Windows 7 installation works fine, sio I know the HD works.

Upgrade to win 8 after installing win7 also fails.

    What could this be?

    Hello:

    Try this...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&keyword=Intel+RAPI...

Extract the files on a usb flash drive.

With the flash drive and the installation of W8 media plugged into the machine, boot from the installation of W8 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and see if the W8 now detects the HARD drive and installs.

  • mSata SSD - M500 Crucial 240 GB for ProBook 6560 b

    Hi all

    I have ProBook 6560 b,

today I try install mSata SSD - M500 Crucial 240 GB and I got this message on the screen of the BIOS:

The system detected that a module installed in the system wireless is

not taken in charge and disabled.

    WWAN Module ID (703)

    ENTER - continue starting

    ...

Do you guys know how to fix this?

Looking through the Service & maintenance guide, I don't see the possibility to upgrade with an mSATA SSD. It is, unfortunately, a bit of a non standard upgrade path.  Your BIOS is expecting a different type of module to be connected to the location that you have plugged your mSATA SSD in.  If you want to upgrade to an SSD, then you will need to use a SATA SSD.

As seen in the picture below (from the maintenance & service Guide). This means making a choice on the use of the Bay when a DVD player is likely to resident currently in your laptop.
