Built in webcam does not work

I followed some advice here with Device Manager. I entered and found my camera. I clicked on properties and it says an error message.

It is said

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To resolve this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

It was just too much. My camera has always worked well. I have Windows 8, but I've always had. I have not downloaded anything recently... I have no idea why my camera just stopped working. I already tried the update and it says I have the latest version.

Most often when a device does not work, it is because the driver is damaged. Re-install a new copy should help

  • My built-in webcam does not work on new Skype

    Hello everyone

A few months ago, I updated my Skype. On the updated version, I couldn't use my webcam (USB2.0 uvc vga webcam on ASUS x52f, windows 7). I asked Google to solution and I got it: we will install an older version of Skype.

I did and the problem was solved.

Now that Skype blackmailed me to download the latest version (6.18.60.105) the problem is on again once. And the solution (installing a previous version) is no longer relevant.

I installed the new K-light codec pack. Still nothing.

I uninstalled and reinstalled my camera and drivers. Still nothing.

So the question is: How do I get my built-in Skype new and brilliant camera work?

    Thanks for the replies!

    Robert

Uninstall the version 6.18 and install Skype 6.14.0.104 version:

    Hello

    Troubleshoot camera connection
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Troubleshoot-camera-connection-problems

You probably need to recharge the device drivers and camera control software (usually included
with the drivers and installed at the same time).

    Login as an administrator.

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Manually look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

Then let windows updates on however prevent loading of drivers who are often older than the
those that you have installed. If updates suggests a pilot and then HIDE it and watch manually to see if their
really is a more recent version (at the time system manufacturer and the sites of the manufacturer of the device).

  • Built in webcam does not work in windows movie maker

I just bought an Acer Aspire 4730Z with windows vista and other pre-installed programs. I was looking to take the video to a blog with the cam integrated as I had done in the past on my desk but WMM said that there is no camera. The camera is obviously there and works with other programs like Skype. What can I do to fix this?

I'm not sure as to which version I'm running because everything is installed.

    Hello ZeroFall,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

    1. Try to uninstall Skype as it can interfere with WMM.
    2. Install the current drivers for the web cam
    3. Use the webcam to record your video and transfer it to WMM

Let us know if these steps solve your problem.  I hope the information is useful.

    Kind regards

  • The built-in on my Lenovo Thinkpad webcam does not work

I have a lenovo thinkpad and the built-in webcam does not work. It does not even appear on my device manager (or anywhere on my computer also).

Everywhere wherever I look I keep seeing the words "drivers." I don't know what makes a driver is, so if someone could help me in using the language more simple that would be very useful.

    Thank you!

"driver software is a computer program that operates or has a particular type of device that is connected to a computer.

    See the device driver

What model of Thinkpad do you use?

Lenovo Web site, click on Support, click on drivers & software, click computers laptops & tablets, select Thinkpad series, select the exact model of Thinkpad, select Machine type and search for the driver and application for the model of your Thinkpad. Download and install the driver for the webcam from here to solve the problem.

  • Integrated on my Satellite T130 webcam does not work

    Hi all

the built-in on my Satellite T130 webcam does not work.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium and already reinstalled the drivers of webcam 64-bit through this Web site. However, when I click on the webcam application, simply, nothing happens - program doesn't open at all or turn off instantly. Skype is not also acknowledge a cam. In addition, there is no webcam in Device Manager (a not detected USB device however) and no symbol of cam in the Ribbon of Toshiba quicklaunch, which is like the camera is started according to the "manual".

Someone has an idea what is the problem? Looks like a common problem according to Google, but no suggestions other than to reinstall the drivers. Perhaps another application blocking the camera? Firewall settings?

I'd appreciate any help, thank you.

    Best regards Florian

    > a USB not detected if

Maybe it's the webcam from the webcam is connected to the internal USB controller on the motherboard.

It looks like a webcam driver is not installed correctly.
Try the webcam driver released for the satellite t230 or other series of satellites.
    Versions are newer

Also recommend that you check the BIOS settings.
In some cases, the BIOS contains a webcam option where the webcam can be turned on and off.

  • Satellite A200: After Vista Ultimate upgrade Chicony webcam does not work

    Hello

I hope someone can help me. For 3 weeks, I have buy the Toshiba A200 with Windows Vista Home Premium and very good built-in Webcam function. I have no problem.

Yesterday I did an upgrade to Windows Vista Edition full and now the Webcam does not work.
Every time when I want to launch the following software message come «Please activate the webcam»

In the it´s control panel that wrote this function of Doesna´t of hardware because the software isn't fair. But I have the right software. I have try the original software on me the hard drive and, of course, I do a download from Toshiba and I try this.
But I still got the same message.

    Please help me.

    Hello

I m not an A200 owner and, therefore, I can not say much about this webcam tool, but to my eyes the Chicony webcam software should work with Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, because this version is almost the same as Windows Vista Home Premium. The ultimate version supports more features like Home Premium, but the software is running and must be compatible with both versions of Vista.

How did you install Vista Ultimate? You perform a new installation of the OS, or you upgrade only the Home Premium-> Ultimate?

Anyway, currently version 1.0 of the Chicony camera software is available on the Toshiba page.
You may need to wait until the new update has been published.
