  • BlackBerry in Eclipse (JDE) project import

    Hi all

    I have a problem with importing a project of BlackBerry of P4. I installed the BlackBerry JDE for Eclipse plugins, I can create new projects, but I have problems when I import a project from P4.

    In the P4 plugin, if I click on a directory, and then in the context menu, I can see the menu "import into the project", but after importation, the project is not a project of BlackBerry, is a Java project.

    I don't really know how could import a BlackBerry of P4 project. If I try to import the jdp for the project, it is not possible with the P4 plugin (no menu as importation as a project).

    Could you give me some advice how could import a project of P4?

    Thank you and best regards,

    -Ferenc

    Solution:

    Right-click for the project, select project sharing/team...

  • BlackBerry JDE Build Error - new installation - Hello World

    I'm new to the Blackberry development.  I was able to get Eclipse works without any problems whatsoever and I built a few sample programs and one of my own.  However, it seems to me that RIM Blackberry JDE has some nice features for the visualization of information specific to Blackberry batteries, memory statistics, etc. Then I tried to get the RIM Blackberry JDE 4.5 and 4.7 installed so I can revisit.  I had some problems installing a reason any.  I've gotten past these problems, but I'm starting to get the headache trying to build "Hello World".

    What would someone mind helping me resolve the error of next generation for 'Hello World '.  It will probably take something simple and I feel stupid, but I have to finish reviewing the RIM JDE so I can select my development environment and begin to develop.

    Thanks in advance!

    (You must make sure that) that you have installed a suitable JDK, and (b) in the JDK bin directory is in your Windows PATH environment variable.

    Open a command window and type javac

    If it is not found, the JDE cannot find it either.

    I don't know why. Can someone help me please? I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64.

    Thank you

    No, you set your ACCESS Windows path variable to include the location where the java compiler is installed, usually the directory "/ bin" where you installed java.

    Mine is located here:

    C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_05\bin

    Update the path:

    Control Panel

    System

    Advanced tab

    Click the "Environment Variables" button

    Under "System Variables", look for the path and to update.

  • trouble setting up Blackberry JDE and the JDE plugin Eclipse

    Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong here? I just downloaded blackberry JDE, tried to launch an example helloworld app that came with the IDE, but it keeps displaying error in the building.

    Then I tried to use the blackberry with eclipse plug-in. I downloaded the eclipse IDE, installed the plugin on the same folder as the eclipse IDE, and then when I click the icon blackberry on the eclipse toolbar, it asks me a key sigature... of course there must be something I am doing wrong.

    I tried some of the materials and videos on the site but you can't always find my way through...

    Would be happy if someone could take me through the steps. Thank you!

    Rex007 wrote:

    No, don't worry about the "install key Signature...". "That will not matter until you want to run on a real device.  The "configure BlackBerry Workspace' is grayed out until you have a BlackBerry workspace to configure.  Yes, a bit strange, but that's the way it works.

    To do this, you will need to either import a file from workspace BB existing (.jdw) or a file existing project BB (.jdp), or to build a new BB project from scratch. You build a new project of BB with file-> New-> project, which opens a new project dialog box, and then select BlackBerry-> BlackBerry project and run the new project wizard.  But you probably just want to import the demonstration project you are trying to build.

  • Problem with the JDE Plugin

    Eclipse 3.5.0 and BB Java SDK 5.0.0.14 using... I'm just getting started with BlackBerry... I just built and tested the HelloWorld app... launched in the Simulator end. I try then run it on my camera, to get an error on the wrong version. So, I try and run it again in the Simulator, and now the app just does not appear in the downloads folder. Just nothing. Any ideas what's happening here?

    This happened to me earlier today by using the JDE, so I switched to the Eclipse thinking that would take care of her...

    Never, does anyone else have this problem?

    OK, I fixed it. I just deleted the project BB and recreated and it seems to work again. I think that the problem can me been accidentally right click on the project name and selecting 'BlackBerry\Package project (s).

    Send the request and read HTTP response headers.

    The headers are stored until asked.

    Get the ContentType

    The string of type = c.getType ();

    The length and process data

    int len = (int) c.getLength ();

    if (len > 0) {

    int actual = 0;

    int BytesRead = 0;

    byte data = new byte[len]; while ((bytesread! = len) & (real! = - 1)) {

    real = is.read (data, bytesread, len - bytesread);

    bytesRead += real;

    }

    }

    catch (IOException ioe) {}

    }

    }

    }

    When I run this program in the Simulator, I can do nothing. Please correct me if I'm wrong in coding.

    As I am new to this blackberry JDE environment, ideas and suggestions on how to write and run the sample applications in the blackberry are more welcomed.

    I do not understand your question.

    Any program accessing a secure API requires the signatures to run on the device (it's OK on the Simulator). They keys are available from the RIM for $20.

    Once you have the key, you can sign all applications you develop for the platform of BB.

    You can order the keys here:

He then shows the project as if it is moved, but restart imovie it is back to its original location again. Grateful for any idea that you could share...

    Sounds as if you do it right, but just to be safe here is a link to instructions by AppleMan 1958.

    How to move or copy projects and events on an external drive? (Version 9 and earlier)

    Note his comment about an error

    For existing projects, you can move it using these instructions.

    http://help.Apple.com/iMovie/#move7d66613

    There is an error in the guidelines where it says drag the icon of the project to the icon in the event library. You should rather look for your hard drive icon in the project library.

    Generally, the event takes more space hd project then you can consider moving events as well.
