Burn HD on DVD
Can I capture HDV to PE7 - my editing - and then burn it to a regular SD DVD and burn later on Blue Ray HD?
Thank you
-Don
Greatly with previous versions of Premiere Elements, the notice was film in the HDV format, then downconvert in the camcorder before capture in DV - AVI. Premiere Elements like body did a bad job of the downconversion. More recent reports with PE7 showed that capture it as HDV, editing on a HDV timeline and then burn it to a DVD to standard definition also gives good results http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=4450 . It is good news if you later want to burn Blu - ray that you don't have to go through the editing process twice.

Hi all
My carpet * a drive does not work on my Toshiba Tecra A2.

See you soon,.
JimHello
It seems its time for a new CD/DVD drive :(
To me it seems that the laser of the ODD lens does not work as it should eventually it s affected and cannot calibrate because of the stress of the material
Therefore, in my opinion you a replacement drive are necessary.Notes; You may not use any CD/DVD drive. You need a compatible due to different master/slave/c-salt settings.
In your case, I would like to get in touch with a local ASP and I ask for a compatible player. -
Satellite M40 - Teac DV-W28E does not burn CD or DVD
G ' Day,.
I had problems with my dvd writer no longer works correctly when you try to burn cd or dvd. It is a Teac DV-W28E model and I would love to be able to get the drivers for it to reinstall, but I can't find them and when I try to do a web update he asks the CD. Looking at the Teac site there are no drivers for this particular dvd burner it. Looking at the Microsoft Web site for support... much less said about it the better.
I don't know if I uninstall the driver for my dvd, and then try to reinstall I'll be even able to do it on the net for the above reason to ask the installation cd.
Now I don't know if it's related, but I followed the Toshiba update for my BIOS earlier and as I had not even tried to burn anything for a while, I do not know if she had any questions before or after.
Generally, it is not recognizing the dvd as an engraver of dvd burner. If I drag and drop files to burn in Solution Explorer, then they do not appear to burn to a cd or dvd. When you try to use Nero v6.0.0, then it will crash at the end trying to write the last part of the file on the disk.
Anyone know how to help me save the environment by creating no more silver coasters / wind chimes / etc etc? Any ideas at all? I might just have to give up the cow and get a generic replacement as I began to need to burn for the backups to work and reports.
TIA,
Keiran
The CD/DVD drive uses no special driver.
It uses the drivers simply Microsoft Windows and the drive should be recognized automatically after removing. If you have any problems with the writing on the CD/DVD, then I suppose it could be a hardware problem such as calibration target or something like that.
But first you have to check the different options that might be responsible for the failure of the burner
In the disc properties (right click-> properties), you can find the recording tab.
Here, you must enable the option activate the writing of CD on this drive if you use the drag and drop to burn files.I also recommend using only burning on the operating system software.
Nero is a friendly software. I use it too -
Satellite L30-113 - cannot burn CDs or DVDs
I have a Satellite L30-113. Recently my driver failed for my dvd player, until I was able to install a few things and burn CDs and DVDs. Now, I can't record CDs or DVDs.
Nero and CDBurnerXP for CD/DVD ROM say 'cannot continue burning process as you did not choose the device for recording. CD/DVD ROM propities shows that it does not support recording CDs and DVDs.
I uninstalled the driver and restarted my computer and it reinstalled the same as that which does not once again. I am a driver update search and xp tells me that the driver is up-to-date. I checked the Toshiba updates with none of these updates for CD/DVD ROM.
I have no idea on how to fix this unit "corrupted".Hi mate,
I had a similar problem on my Toshiba laptop. So here, I searched a little bin forum and I founded to delete upper and lower filters in the registry. I followed the instructions in this Microsoft article:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314060After that, I again was able to burn DVDs.
In addition, updated driver from CD/DVD isn't necessary because this driver is part of the operating system.

I found an info that the drive that came with this device can only use a CD-ROM to CD-R(read/write), CD-RW(read/re-write).In this case, it is not possible to burn or read DVD. Also, I guess you tried to burn a CD + media. Please do not forget that you are using compatible CD.

Problem with TSSTcorp TS-L632D TO04 CD/DVGW stoped burning CD and DVD
Hello world! The problem is basically just, he doesn't want to write/burn any cd/dvd brand more. He works wonders for little over a year and recently developed this problem. I'm sure that's not media brands I've tried with several. The problem with Nero, Alcohol120%, MagicISO, PowerISO, Burn4Free, regardless of what I am trying to burn data, audio, regular programs or images. Note that I am able to write with alcohol with success but there is in fact nothing on the CD and Nero burns the data also but fails to verify after the fact and gives an error. Writing on DVD R/RW is completely failed, creating coasters. Also the Player opens without reason and when he wants. I have laptop Toshiba A200 - 1 MB under original Vista Home Premium. Here's an error report, hopefully it'll help. Thanks and any assistance is much appreciated!

Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.(1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
(3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
(4) restart. If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).
This utility can remove the filters for you:

Satellite A60 no longer burn CDs and DVDs
Hey, somebody help me.
My A60 laptop no longer burned CDs and DVDs.
There do not seem to read empty discs.
Some regular she reads, but will not start and some, it will not
not even start.Hello
Sounds like a damaged disk device.
Usual that these problems occur if the lens of the player is unable to calibrate correctly.
In my opinion it has not much to do. I don't think that the replacement of the drive will solve such a problem.

Error: there is no recording device detected when trying to burn CD or DVD
Original title: drive or CD or DVD disc burning
I have re-installed Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 on my pc. It was installed and worked very well before.
I have open and try to burn a DVD, and he says there is no record of the found device. I have burned many DVDs using this program before.
I also open iTunes to listen to music and I get this error message.
Caveat!
The registry settings used by the iTunes for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can occur as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.
I uninstalled Roxio and iTunes and reinstalled iTunes but with no result on the possibility to even burn CDs again. I tried to system restore to before I installed Roxio, but it does not point restoration to date that I have installed (3 December 2010), I also can't go back to November to see if there is a restore point for that month.

Hi Barbara,
You can use the player to burn a mixture of songs from the library of the drive or your computer to an audio CD, after which you can play the CD in any standard CD player. Alternatively, you can burn files on CD and DVD data. It is not possible to burn the live streams, such as radio stations, on a CD or a DVD.
