Button changes new tab position randomly

Since I updated to Firefox 4, the 'New tab' button appears sometimes close to the tab to the right and sometimes is pinned to the right side of the tab bar. I grabbed some screenshots illustrating this:

http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7988/firefoxnewtab.PNG

This makes it pretty annoying to open a tab with the mouse, because first of all, I have to look for the button.

Is this a known issue?

This new tab button move towards that position if there are so many open tabs appear the tab scroll buttons. Your screenshot shows the scroll buttons, but that shouldn't happen with a single open tab and plenty of space.
You can check if your problem is caused by an extension or theme that is not working properly.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

  • I have version 9.0.1 on 2 pc, both xp sp3. 1 the button "open new tab" is visible, on the other hand, the "Open new tab" button is not yet available in the menu "Customize toolbar" drag / drop. Why?

    I used the same setup file, but on 1 pc, the "Open new tab" button is available in the menu 'Customize toolbar' and can be dragged and drop on the navigation bar. On the other pc, the "Open new tab" button/icon is not yet available for drag / drop. I uninstalled firefox completely, including the settings and preferences, then reinstalled, but that has not fixed the missing button.

    Hello

    Please try to restore the default value in the Customize... window. If it is still not visible, one of the reasons could be that the button is already placed on the toolbar, but can be hidden behind a different icon or toolbar.

  • How can I have two buttons for 'new tab' in version 4?

    In version 3.x, there is a removable button on the toolbar for 'new tab' plus a button '+' at the end of the address of the open tab I could click to create a new tab.
    In version 4, I can have the removable button, but I do not see how to add the button at the end of the address of the open tab. I can move the single button at the end of the address window, but I can't have two buttons.
    Is it still possible?

    You must drag the button new tab (+) of the tabs to another toolbar toolbar to make the second button to appear.

    "Firefox > Options > toolbars" or "view > toolbars > customize.

  • What happened to the second button "Open new tab" in 4.0?

    In firefox 3.x, there is a button next to the last tab, an additional tab navigation. Now, there is only a 'new tab' button. Can I get it back to have both?

    You can drag the button bar of tabs in another new tab toolbar and use this code in userChrome.css to make two new visible tab buttons.
    Add code to userChrome.css below @namespace.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    /* show New Tab button on toolbar */
    #new-tab-button { visibility: visible !important; }

    /* show New Tab button on tab bar */
    .tabs-newtab-button { visibility: visible !important; }

    Hello world.

    The menu buttons appear fine in preview mode, but as soon as I download on Business Catalyst all going PEAR - buttons decrease in size and change position!

    I tried everything I can think of, including the re-doing the menu from scratch and upload whenever I make a change. Whenever I duplicate the menu on another page is when the problem occurs, but as I said that's no problem at all in preview mode browser.

    I would appreciate your help, its driving me crazy I have to show to the client as soon as possible

    Thank you very much

    I've been clicking since the menu buttons and a few times, but always without strangely shaped or placed images.

    I think you can be assured that this is just a bug in your browser, probably some old picture caching that is too persistent to get deleted automatically. Refresh your page or clear the cache of your browser manually. That could help.

  • Why was the 'new tab' button option removed from research 'Customize toolbar '?

    Back in 3.x and more I was able to place a "open new window" button and a button "open new tab" in the bookmarks toolbar. This has worked well for me. Now with 4, the 'new tab' is not available, and you can open a new tab using the default button, right next to your already open tabs.

    Any chance of that open new tab button back? I would use rather than (what I'm used to) than new.

    Called options, remove them stop.

    You can find the button new tab showing as a '+' on the tab bar.

    You can open the Customize and drag the new tab, button of the toolbar tabs on another toolbar and it will become a regular tools like the new button bar button tab you have in versions of Firefox 3.

    If you would like the button tab at the right end of the tab bar then put a hose to the left of it.

    Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars."

  • Dynamically new tabs, add a tab with a button pane

    In most modern browsers, it is very easy and intuitive how to open a new tab in the same window.
    Usually, there is a small button with a "+" to the right of the tabs. When you click this button, a new tab is created and it receives focus.

    What is the easiest way to mimic this behavior in a JavaFX application?. I think trying to add a tab 'false' with a sign «+» Then I know when this tab is clicked, and on this event, I could dynamically create a new tab and give it focus.
    What is the right way to do it? A small example of how best to implement it would be greatly appreciated.

    This seems to work ok:

    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.event.ActionEvent;
    import javafx.event.EventHandler;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.control.Button;
    import javafx.scene.control.Tab;
    import javafx.scene.control.TabPane;
    import javafx.scene.layout.AnchorPane;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;

    public class TabPaneWithAddButton extends Application {

      @Override
      public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
        final AnchorPane root = new AnchorPane();
        final TabPane tabs = new TabPane();
        final Button addButton = new Button("+");

        AnchorPane.setTopAnchor(tabs, 5.0);
        AnchorPane.setLeftAnchor(tabs, 5.0);
        AnchorPane.setRightAnchor(tabs, 5.0);
        AnchorPane.setTopAnchor(addButton, 10.0);
        AnchorPane.setLeftAnchor(addButton, 10.0);

        addButton.setOnAction(new EventHandler() {
          @Override
          public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
            final Tab tab = new Tab("Tab " + (tabs.getTabs().size() + 1));
            tabs.getTabs().add(tab);
            tabs.getSelectionModel().select(tab);
          }
        });

        root.getChildren().addAll(tabs, addButton);

        final Scene scene = new Scene(root, 600, 400);
        scene.getStylesheets().add("tabs.css");
        primaryStage.setScene(scene);
        primaryStage.show();

      }

      public static void main(String[] args) {
        launch(args);

  • New tabs open to the right of the current page, not extreme right?

    I liked using the new tab button, which disappeared from the most recent version, I had to go back to 38 to find it and put it back on my toolbar. However, I was not able to set the way in which the new tab opens, next to the page that I am. Previously, if I clicked on the new tab button, a new tab would open at the far right of the tabs. I tried to fix it by going to about: config, changing the browser.tabs.insertrelatedaftercurrent to 'false' to 'true' as was the fix in 2013. Alas, it doesn't now and I want to change it back. In addition, the new tab icon/button is gone for good in the new versions?

    If your new tab button opens a tab in the middle of your tabs, it could be a feature of an extension related to tab. Some of them, such as Tab Mix Plus and Tab Utilities have so many parameters it can be a challenge to sort through all of them. You can check your extensions and check if they have an Options button to tweak their settings, on page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

    In the left column, click Extensions. Then go through the list on the right side.

I want to be able to open a new tab without going through an open search window. I don't like new tiny 'file above it don't help me. I want the option to click the Refresh button bit. How to get back to what I had before?

    I don't know what happened to your menus and toolbars. Has this happened after an update of Firefox, or a change in your add-ons?

    (1) you can switch between the Firefox button orange with its abbreviated menus and the classic menu bar, by using the following text:

    ALT + v (open the menu Classic view) > toolbars > Menu bar

    (2) in the new tab, you wanted it is empty? Are there currently AVG research? If you want to get rid of the search for AVG, you probably have to disable to remove one or more modules from here:

    Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Modules > category: Extensions

    Does make a difference?

    (3) the reload button is nestled at the end of the address bar, after the star icon and the drop-marker. If you prefer that your button to reload on the bar itself, you can do that using the personalization feature.

    ALT + v (open the menu Classic view) > toolbars > customize

    In order to avoid the button reload to slip into the URL bar, you can perform the following actions:

    • Move the button reload for the left side of the address box
    • Move another button between the address box and reload
    • Move another button between the reload and stop buttons
    • Reverse the order of the reload and stop buttons
