  • How to customize the buttons for the controls?

I tried to change the color of the buttons on the control window in photoshop, but it is not working properly. In other words, I managed to change the color of the button, but on the BB, it is looking as if it is cut. I don't know what is the cause. The image is the same size as the original, and I saved in .png format.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Thank you!

What you need to do is to change the location of the grid. Next to the preview of the image (where you insert the new button), there is a button small grid to the right. You will need to click on it. As you use a 9700 and I am sure that you generate for the 9700, left and right Positions will have to be at 28 and the top and bottom Poitions should be at 9. This ensures that you use the same key as the original, only the color and size not.

  • Oweners of change for a Curve 8900 blackBerry Smartphones

I just got a new 9380 curve and have changed the devices successfully. Now I have what to spend on my old Curve 8900 to a member of the family with their SIM card and I have problems with their registration to the device. Like creating BB email, change the e-mail accounts and make a new profile for internet services of BB.

When a problem arises I follow the steps listed, but without success

    Any suggestions?

1 wipe the device.  Read this:

Article ID: KB28225 BlackBerry Smartphone must be wiped before transferring the security property

    2. make sure that the new card SIM HAS the BlackBerry Plan data on this account.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    (1) there is no Flash drive for a BB. None.

    (2) the best way to get and install applications is via AppWorld... read about it here:

    3) while the BB is of small computers, trying to do things like convert DVDs of films on the BB is not advised (probably not possible).

    Good luck!

  • Reminder alert sound for the voice message of blackBerry Smartphones

Is there a setting where I can have a beep or vibrate every 1-5 minutes when I get a voice message or a missed call, so I know (not counting the blinking led)?

It is not a setting in the operating system native, other that to your SMS messages to inform you audibly when you receive a message voice (your carrier VM notifications are sent by SMS). And who don't you like every five minutes.

For this function you will need BBAlerts of Handango.com

  • Alerts for text, email, messaging, blackBerry Smartphones voice etc. disappeared

There is nothing extraordinary, but I no longer get alerts for sms or mms, e-mail and virtually everything that uses alerts.   I checked and double checked the option for each and every settings seem normal.  Normal is that they are set up as they would be working.  Thanks in advance for any help.  Its much appreciated.  Once again thanks...

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • Problem of voice dialing of blackBerry Smartphones

My BB Curve 8320 cannot allocate memory when I try to use the voice dialing. He told me to close applications and try again. I don't have a race! What should I do to fix this? Thanks for any help you can give! Barb B

There is a problem of memory on your Blackberry. Make sure that you do not have applications running? You have only 5 those opened in the application Ribbon when you Alt + Esc?

You can see how much memory is left in the terminal options, then State, then the button menu and "database sizes.

Anyway, you can try to reboot your device. Just open your blackberry, remove the battery, wait a minute, then plug it in again. You will have to then wait about 4 or 5 minutes before your Blackberry is operational.

  • Texts of reading for the evil of blackBerry Smartphones

Don't know what I did for my Blackberry Curve 9320. I can still send and receive texts, that the problem comes from trying to read them. For example, when I send a text message that he disappears from the display. If I return to the page that lists all the texts and click New to re read the text, it just goes to a completely blank screen. The only way to read the text sent is to click on the menu button and will forward it, then the message is displayed in the bottom box.

When I receive a text at the beginning, he's sitting there with a yellow bubble next to it. Once I click to play it, I get a blank screen. When I return to the page that lists all the messages in the speech bubble is now white and I can only read the message if I use the menu button, choose forward, and here is the message crushed in the bottom of the screen again.

Any ideas? had the phone for 14 months and this just started.

Thank you very much for your useful post.

Before I had a chance to read your advice my partner tried a reboot "soft"? Simultaneously pressing the keys alt, aA, and delete and the problem is now solved.

Always useful to know what to try when something odd happens.

  • Voicemail for the removal of blackBerry Smartphones without listening to the entire message

One of my children made a habit of 'butt dialing' me by mistake, leaving messages of 5 minutes.  Lack of knowledge what else to do, I have to listen to him walk around with a voice hushed for a full 5 minutes before I can hit "7" to remove the message.  There must be a better way forward quickly at the end of a message. I tried all the keys as well as the # and *... Help!

So you kick 7 is not fast enough?

Delete, repeat, fast forward, etc., keyboard shortcuts for your voicemail come from your operator, not BlackBerry. You should check with your carrier about voice shortcuts.

For example, on mine, typing press the 3 deletes the virtual machine.

Hello. My step daughter bought a new BB Bold 9900 (2nd hand) by his father.  She came home and her mother and I want to set parental controls, but there aren't any.  As in, the app to make settings in the options - isn't there!  I can't find anything on the net and wonder if his father bought a dud!

    Hey jobarkeruk,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

  • Numbers of numbering for the speed of blackBerry Smartphones

Is it possible to change the speed on the following letters dial:

A-I don't want the lock here button.

W don't want Voicemail here.  -Why wouldn't Blackberry put this under V (voicemail) given that most people probably wouldn't use this key for a speed dial?

I can't find a way to change these two.

w because it's also the 1 key... logic.

    Press the green phone button
    Menu button
    Select "speed dial list.
Amine for the 'A' and press on enter. (Return key)
    Select new contact

When you perform a battery pull reboot or if you upgraded the operating system, default is the default setting and you will just need to change it again.

She also now further developed where the phone is locked or goes into applications with instructions.

I'm a few months upgrade if you need this binding

This looks like what I've seen several times on a device with moisture damage.
Even sitting on a counter in the bathroom during a steamy shower bath, or hot in a humid gym locker or against kitchen when there is high humidity, can cause problems with keyboard and trackball up to properly dry. Really, it is more common than you think.
1 the battery immediately! Do not turn on your BlackBerry device.
    2. allow the device to dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days * (see below)
    3. DO NOT "check it every day" by placing the battery in. Leave what would to dry completely. It takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can damage only (humidity + power = disaster).
    4. If the unit is hot after the drying period, let it cool to room temperature before placing the battery in the.

Suggestions on your BlackBerry in a warm dry place (open, with battery):
    * Place the BB in a container of rice uncooked dry, and then you can also place it in one of the locations mentioned below.
    * On top of any heat dry emitting electronic components: TV or CRT, LCD, TV cable box / Satellite or plasma monitor
    * On the dashboard of your car on a day sunny
