  I have the following code. I try to scan a document and a specific keyword research based on the regex. That part works. I then get the range of text for those keywords and the highlighted text. This method works. What does not work, it is when I try to do the same in the text that is in a table cell.

  The problem is that it is not highlighting the text in the table cell as I want it. If I process the document and use the following syntax:

  It will highlight the text (with extra code to loop through these results).

  Any thoughts on what I'm missing?

  I don't have time to debug this script completely, but I see things that seem unusual.

  GetText() is valid for a table cell, I don't know if that's what you want. I think I want to explore the individual paragraphs. I'm not quite clear on what this code does do exactly, but it seems that this would make it much easier to implement the text ranges. GetText() will cover all the paragraphs in a cell, if there are several.

  Added to this, your line "tr.beg.obj = tr.end.obj = bmp;" makes no sense to me, because you're coming back the paragraph which contained the anchor point of the table. In other words, you just leave the table entirely.

  So it's just a few riddles, but it seems more likely that you would something along these lines:

  APEX newbie uses version 4.0.1 and Oracle XE on laptop to develop the app before implementing into production...
  
  Have had an input text box field that users will update with progress i.e text on a topic, for example.
  
  Now, I want to put the user name and the timestamp as a prefix to any text that the user adds to the text box.
  
  Must I do this via Javascript on the client and if so, am not entirely sure how?
  
  Or should I leave Oracle adds the: APP_USER and a timestamp when the user saves its data in the database?
  Once again how I am doing as I think I would need store the initial text in the textarea somewhere on the loading of the page and then when save or apply button compare the
  Orig and modified and prefix text box text newly added with user name and timestamp before sending it to Oracle to save?
  
  Apologies if I made a meal of this... It seems a reasonable think to want to be able to do I think?

  A correction, you must use the keyword CURRENT_TIMESTAMP to get the correct timestamp:

  I'm setting up a pilot logbook and I need to keep track of when I lead some approaches to the instruments for the purposes of recency.

  For example, the last time I did a VOR approach was April 20, 16.  I need the numbers to recognize the "VOR" text and give me the corresponding date.  I'm having numbers give me this date in a separate table.

  Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

  This is a roundabout way. Perhaps another user will display a more elegant way.

  

  Table 1 is a version abridged your journal of driving. Here is table 2:

  

  Table 2 uses the SIERREUR function to place "" (NULL) if the SEARCH fails to find a match between the value in the header line and an entry in the log of your flight.

  Otherwise, it inserts a value (The FIND returns the starting position of a string in another).

  Now we've found BK VOR (and fill to the right) and SID.

  Columns needed for approaches more more!

  

  Table 3 is a Date of any cell in table 2 which is not "" (NULL).

  Formula in A2 (and fill down and fill the right)

  = IF(Table 2::A2≠"",Table 1::$A2,"")

  You can type this than = IF (table 2::A2 <>"", Table 1: $A2, "")

  3 numbers will change <>≠

  Formula of the cell footer of table 3 (for column A, then fill to the right)

  = MAX (A)

  To improve the 'presentation', move (copy / paste) 2 Table to another worksheet (TAB). The formulas will adjust automatically.

• By the numbers, how can I copy/extract a picture fill to cell?

  I am wanting to place an image in a cell that is later recovered.  When I put an image in the cell, it becomes the fill picture, but then I have no way to come back to this image.

  The demand is I'm trying to store images of receipts in a worksheet.  I'm fine with the effect of the use of the images as a fill, but then I don't have a way to extract this image at a later time.  This means that I have to develop a system to rename all the images and store them in a separate folder outside numbers.  While browsing the menu fill, I have the ability to change the image/fill, but no way of, say, 'show source image in finder' or 'copy image' to can be used in another cell, etc..  It seems to be existing somewhere, but I can't seem to access it then use it again.

  The crucial point is that if I were to be verified, I wouldn't have a legitimate means of recovering the image I used as the fill.  Either I would need to go through the additional work of systematization between spreadsheet and out of the folder, or have this cell really raise the resolution of filling and screenshot it.  Not keen on one of those in option.

  Thoughts?

  Don't know if that answers your needs, but here is a way to "get back" these images.

  In the Finder, navigate to the document numbers, right-click and choose show package content:

  

  You should see a folder structure that looks like this:

  

  Open the data folder and you will find your images:

  

  It doesn't seem to be a way to associate an image with a particular cell, but at least you don't have to save the image in two different places on your system.

  Not like in Excel.  3 numbers is not nearly as print oriented like other spreadsheet applications (it is more suited to sharing via the cloud or on a Tablet seems old reports). Numbers is also designed for you to work in stand-alone tables rather than on a large tract of cells in Excel. You can organize your document so the part that you need to print is in a particular table.  Move this table on a separate sheet and print this sheet only.  To move a table, select it and click on the 'bulls eye' top left, command + x to cut, navigate to a new sheet that you have configured, command-v to paste.

  Break the problem into small steps:

  Step 1. All separators (periods and asterisks) convert the asterisks.

  Formula in B2 (fill down)

  = SUBSTITUTE(A2,".","*")

  Step 2. Find the position of an asterisk in each cell.

  Formula in C2 (fill down)

  = FIND("*",B2)

  Step 3. Extract everything to the right of the asterisk.

  Formula in D2 (fill down)

  = RIGHT (B2, LEN (B2) −C2)

  Step 4. Convert the text to numbers re using the VALUE function.

  Formula in E2 (fill down)

  VALUE = (D2)

  This table has a header row and footer of the line, so the SUM in E9 apply to all cells in the body.

The point is the file has been opened and changed on my front iOS9 and now the numbers app for Mac OS is request for update. BUT I can't update the numbers without updating the MacOS (my current version is 10.10.3 and I won't update).

  Personally, I don't use any iWork on iOS apps, but wanted to you suggest that try to export the file as Numbers ' 09, then open this file exported in numbers 3.5.3 on your mac.  You should probably also not alter this file in iOS until you can update the most recent Mac OS x.

  I found a curious problem with subtraction and compare numbers DBL in LabVIEW (8.6). Here's how it works:

  1. subtract two numbers DBL such that the result is not incorporated. (Say, 3.2 - 3.1)

  2. compare the result with a constant/control that is on the result of the subtraction (in the example, 0.1)

  3 see the output of the comparison.

  If the result of the subtraction is an integer, the Boolean result is (as expected). If the result is not complete, the comparison fails.

  (Now, if I simply compare two floating point numbers, it works, so the issue is not with the node comparison itself, but with the data that is entered to the node). Can someone understand why this happens? It's unexpected, it's a pretty serious bug.

  It is provided with all programming languages. Numbers do not have an exact binary floating-point representation. This has been discussed endlessly. Never use the equal function with floats. You can use the function in the range and force.

  I'm new to MAC and now have problems with the help of figures, I brought my windows Excel worksheets. On windows, I could cut a line and paste anywhere on this page and by practice that Excel would fill the void rank where I cut the content. but here on MAC it does not work, why?

  Numbers is excellent NO then you should consider to guide your expectations.

  Cut number refers only to the content NOT the line, or cells.  Select when a row, and then use the cut command that you cut the contents of the cells.

  If you try to move a line from one place to another, you should try this method (which can work for you)...

  Select the line, then click and hold on the header line (up to the line "lift" on the table), the operation slide the line to the destination.

  

  Now drag the line:

• What formula would I use to add all the other ranks in my spreadsheet. I want to compare the fees and expenses of 2015 since they are incurred for 2016

It is essentially a budget, but wants to see how the category spending increase or decrease all the months for 2016.

  I would like to start by rearranging your table so that the amounts from here to 2015 and 2016 switch not in the column, as implied in your question.

  Vocabulary of the numbers:

  worksheet not sentence numbers

  Worksheet: A spreadsheet. Usually abbreviated to 'Document '.

  Leaf: a blank canvas on which are placed the tables and other objects. A Document has at least one and maybe more than one.

  Table: an object consisting of one or more cells, arranged in rows and columns.

  Take a look at the personal Budget template (file > new form model...), specifically the summary in the table of categories.

  It uses the formula: = SUMIF (Transactions::Category, A2, Amount)

  Since you want to compare the volumes in several CATEGORIES at the specific two-year MONTH, you will need SUMIFS, using three test values, pairs of condition.

  Syntax: = SUMIFS (sum of the values,test values,condition,test values,condition,test values,condition)

  I would like to know if it is enough information. If this isn't the case, I'll be later in the day to enter more specific details. In the meantime, a screenshot of your table and the lines of (at least) your transactions table header would be probably useful.
