By opening a new window tab poster - "browser.startup.homepage = about: home".

When I open a new window all I see is this "browser.startup.homepage = about: home". And the address bar says chrome://branding/locale/browserconfig.properties

What is happening and how to fix this?

You can check for problems with preferences and rename or delete the prefs.js file and numbered possible prefs-# .js and the file user.js to reset all default prefs.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

  • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

  • Open a new window (tab)

    I have a project set to open in a new window (tab), it does. The problem is that the focus does not move to the new window (tab). The current film remains "on top". Other web links that open a new window to divert the attention of the new window. Is it possible to do this? Thank you!

    I think it is completely a function of your browser settings. Check
    browser preferences and see if the tabs are set to be active or load
    in the background.
    However, you specify that links sites bring the new tab in the foreground.
    I don't know why this would be inconsistent... but sure it is

  • Half a second activity in Firefox 50 after that opening a new window/tab that could be due to malicious software?

    Hello world

    After you open a new window or tab, Firefox 50 engages often in half a second to load the empty page before it allows me to enter an address. Could this be the suspicious activity of malware?

    To show you, I recorded a video of him:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/drvmzrqqqjnopvo/Firefox%20page%20Loading.mov?DL=0

    It also happens if NoScript, my single extension, is disabled.

    Thank you!

    I think that the problem is now cleared up. Firefox seems just in contact with their own server of telemetry. The HTTP log that shows the server

    incoming. Telemetry.Mozilla.org

    is contacted.

  • Why Firefox sometimes opens a new window when I browse to an existing tab?

    I often have 7 or 8 tabs open in Firefox. Sometimes, when I click on a tab, Firefox opens in a new window instead of going to this tab. I did not understand a boss when it does.

    A will (usually at lower) very light movement causes the tab to "tear" / "snatch" in a new window. You can drag the tab to the window of the new window origin.

    You can install this add-on to stop the behavior "tear off" / "tear off":

    Not related to your question, but...

    You must update some plug-ins:

  • Only on 3 September 2014, my favorites are automatically on the left side of the screen, all I open a new window of the browser of the combustion chamber, it's DISGUSTING

    I know that I can toggle the bookmark on and outside, but they should be there automatically, as they used to be. Other sites web I think it's like that with a new version of Firefox that is out. Everything has worked before, why did you change it. This isn't progress.

    Right-click on / [check] Menu bar

    View / Sidebar / Bookmarks

    Then invert:
    Right-click on the top / Menu bar [uncheck]

  • With the help of & quot; target & quot; to open a new window

    I have a question about the opening of a new window. There are a few times when I want to open a new browser window and in the past, I used equal to _blank target. This is not allowed in XHTML strict version. Is it because she has been replaced by something else (and if so, what) or because it is considered bad practice in all situations?

    The latter. But you can still work around it by using a bit of javascript

  • Open a new window of the application in the browser tab

    Hi all

    I am trying to open a new window of application in a new tab?

    Is it possible to dynamically add children to a tabnavigator in Flex 3?

    If so, can you give an example?

    Thank you!

    Hi Swati,

    Your question is unclear to me.

    If you want to add childs to TabNavigator here is the code:

    var tabNavObject:TabNavigator = new TabNavigator();

    var vBoxObject:VBox = new VBox();

    vBoxObject.label = "Child 1";

    tabNavObject.addChild (vBoxObject);

    If you want to open a new tab in the browser here is the code:

    var connection_request:URLRequest;

    connection_request = new URLRequest ("http://www.google.com"); URL, or you can give your path of application here.

    connection_request. Data = new URLVariables ("param1 =" + "Prashant"); pass any parameter URL

    connection_request. Method = URLRequestMethod.POST; type of setting method
    navigateToURL (connection_request);  It is a standard feature.

    Thank you.

  • Open the new Windows browser tab

    I can redirect to a URL by using this code:

    {} private void goto_URL (String psURL)
    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();
    try {}
    context.getExternalContext (.redirect (psURL));
    } catch (IOException ex) {}
    System.out.println (ex.getMessage ());
    }
    }

    but I really need to open a new window of the tab in the browser to open a PDF file.
    What I change in this code?

    Sorry, the dynamics of code. How is it difficult to use the url of your original method, create the javascript from the chain and go to the other method?

  • If Firefox is set as the default browser and any application tries to open a new window, it doesn't work and I get the error "Firefox is already in running... »

    Here's what I'm running:
    Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1, fully updated to 04/10/2012
    New installation of Firefox 11. No add-on enabled following troubleshooting.
    I am a user has administrator rights
    SAMU is disabled.

    For starters, this has happened since Firefox 10 or more. A couple of months now.

    I am able to open Firefox. My modules worked (ABP, Flashblock, ABP Element Hiding Helper, IETAB2, Downthemall, Greasemonkey, extension of 4chan) had no problem. Firefox is defined and has been fixed for the past two years as my default browser.

    But since about 10 or so, maybe Firefox before, if I opened a session of Firefox and any other application attempts to open a session in a new window, I get the Firefox is already running but not responding do not error. »

    I tried to follow the advice of already posted troubleshooting (glance to parent.lock files left [no date], several sessionstore.js [no date] files, create a new user profile, has tried to erase the 'read only' permission in windows 7, but as soon as it is cleared, only read permission back.)

    As a last resort, I deleted the Firefox folder, the directory %APPDATA%/Mozilla in its entirety and then used CCleaner to remove all references to Firefox in the windows registry, and then made a complete re - install, without extensions installed right now.

    I checked the preferences and have the option "open new windows in a new tab" checked. The problem persists without worrying if this option is checked or not. This problem persists in or out of safe mode, even with the new facility.

    Test case:

    All cases:
    Firefox is selected as the default browser for windows 7

    Case 1: Log in to firefox. Use any other program that is trying to open a link to their Web site in a new window browser or the new browser session. "Firefox is already running" error

    Case 2: Open a firefox session. Right click on Firefox in the taskbar. Select 'open in new window '. "Firefox is already running" error

    Case 3: Open a session of firefox. Select the Firefox Menu > new tab > new window. In fact, a new window opens.

    This is the only method of opening a new window in the same browser session or profile that actually works on my system. Attempting to open a browser session from the task bar "open new window dialog" or opening a new window while a current window/session is running will not open firefox in a new window or a new tab in the current session. The "Firefox is already running, but is not responding" error will occur every time.

    Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the - No.-remote switch or have defined the MOZ_NO_REMOTE = 1 environment variable (Control Panel > system > advanced > environment variables).

  • When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried to change that in all: config; Browser.newtab.URL, but it will not

    When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried several times to change that through words: config; Browser.newtab.URL. I put in the site I want and it won't change. I tried to put in: blank and it don't work. I'm obviously something wrong - can you help please?

    Thank you

    If Firefox is ignorant preference browser.newtab.url, the usual culprit is an extension.

    You can open the page in Firefox Add-ons using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Do not forget that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox, and you can learn more about them by checking their reviews on the site of the Add - ons.

    Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

  • Why can't I open a new window now? I prefer a new window in a tab.

    I like to use Mozilla, I like also to open a new window, as opposed to a tab (it's just me I guess). I must now W control to open a window - cannot bring back open it? (and I still don't have the private window).

    In case you have activated automatic private browsing, you can use the Options dialog box to turn off.

    "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > privacy

    Change the menu drop down of "conservation rules: don't remember history ' to ' Firefox will be: use the custom settings for history".

    Then you can uncheck the box for automatic private browsing.

  • Why Firefox guard open a new window a lot when you click on a tab to open it.

    Firefox guard open a new window every time when I click on a tab to open it. Happens quite a few times per day now and it's annoying.

    Versions of Firefox 3.5 and later have a feature called tabs.

    You can detach a tab in the current window and open in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.

    You can drag the tab to the tab bar in the original window to cancel this detachment.

    bug489729 (Disable detach and tear off tab):

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Open commandLink in new window/tab

    I have an ADF application with a link to a site of Apex reports. Af: commandLink calls a procedure that made an internal validation (calls a pl/sql package to get a token of Apex connection), then redirects the browser to the site of the Apex. I would get this upcoming Apex site in a new tab in the browser (or a new browser window), but there is no target property on the commandLink or redirection procedure I use (ExternalContext.redirect ()).

    Any suggestions on how to get this redirect to arrive in a new window/tab?

    Edit: using 11.1.1.4

    Published by: steve_mj on February 2, 2012 06:39

    Try this technique in a managed bean method that is called by your :

    // Invoke your PL/SQL procedure
    ...

    // Open the APEX site in a separate browser window
    String apexUrl = ...;
    ExtendedRenderKitService erks = Service.getRenderKitService(ctx, ExtendedRenderKitService.class);
    String script = "window.open('" + apexUrl + "', '', 'location=0, status=0, resizable=1, scrollbars=0');";
    erks.addScript(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(), script);
