By selecting "print" in Outlook on Firefox causes "save file" to open up; This does not work on Internet Explorer and did not use on Firefox - why now and how remedy

While on Firefox and Outlook emails, when I select characters, instead of print, a dialog box appears asking me to save the file. He has never done this before. I tried to print several emails & he went to 'file save' every time. So, I tried to save the file. When I then pulled upwards the file backup, it wouldn't let me "open" the file to then try to 'print' - he only asked me to "backup" again. I, then, you exit Firefox and open Internet Explorer and went into Outlook to try to print my emails it and it let me print my emails. I, then, updating Firefox (I needed to do) and tried to print my Outlook emails so that in Firefox; but, I always get the same answer "unprinted" / "save the file" that troubled me before the update. Help me, please.

When you enter {Ctrl + P} is your printer selected in the upper part where it says printer - name?
Otherwise, select the printer you want to use.

And to the right a bit - and what is footprint drop checked?
If so, remove the check mark.

On a Windows 7 (32 bit), I've already installed Flash player version 11.1.102.55. Well, Google Chrome has integrated Flash Player that you can not change, update of Google Chrome.

I sent an e-mail to Rapidshare. They tested the button and it works fine. RapidShare has recommended to try a different web browser. I tried Internet Explorer and the button works fine. It's probably a problem of Firefox 12. In older versions of Firefox, I didn't have the same problem.

  • Since last week, when I have several windows open in firefox, the pages back and forth between windows open by themselves. This does not happen when I use tabs instead of windows, however.

    window 1: gmail (example only)
window 2: facebook for some company (example only)
I will review my email and the screen suddenly changes the Facebook to say P & G for example.
    If I tab1 as gmail, tab2 as facebook P & G, it won't happen.
And it only happens in Mozilla Firefox. When I use IE, that's fine.

What Windows platform should not make a big difference. The screenshot may appear as coming from an older version of Windows, but the basics should be the same.

This problem may be caused by the Yahoo! toolbar as scopes as well down and covers the top of the browser window, allowing links in this part of the screen not clickable.

  • In Firefox using the top menu, for example in Google images, videos, map, etc., of a web page are not activated with the mouse. This does not happen when you use Internet Explorer, because all links are available.

A notification can up on some type of script, which then disappeared before I could take a note. After that links up on all web pages would not work by using the mouse cursor.
It was only the links on a webpage, not on the menu bar or tabs above.

To see if this happened on another browser, I opened the pages using Internet Explorer and open the links on all the pages that are controlled via the mouse. This sugested, it was a problem with Firefox.

I uninstalled Firefox and installed a new application of the latest edition of Firefox, but the problem persists.

No known cure for this problem.

  • OfficeJet 5740: 57 40 HP won't print Web pages - Internet Explorer and Microsoft edge

I can not get the HP office jet 57402 printing Web pages. I tried with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. Both recognize the printer in their printed menus. There is no printing problem of Microsoft Word or Microsoft Outlook. The printer is brand new. Would be grateful for any advice.

    Hey @Nigel2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have problems with your 5740 e-all-in-one printer Officejet printing 10 Windows PC. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. If your printer is connected to your PC via a USB cable, remove it.
    2. Close any programs you have open.
    3. In your search type in printers bar and open devices and printers.
    4. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
    5. Click on remove the instrument.
    6. Repeat for all other icons of your printer listed.
    7. If you removed the USB cable, connect. If this is not the case, click on add printer and follow the prompts to add a print to your printer queue.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to print properly, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Internet Explorer and Firefox immediately the accident

I have a Windows XP computer that has problems with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox webbrowser.

Neither one will open the office shortcut menu or anywhere else.  When you double-click the icon of the hourglass will be pop up for a brief second or two, then stop.  If you try to double-click the icon of Firefox the second time, it evokes a crash report.  The pc has internet connection, I know this cause, we were able to get updares for Microsoft, Antivirus and a Malwarebytes program.  I also ran a virus and malware to see and both came back perfectly fine. It seems to me that it's an admin setting, as if the admin did not give other users rights to use, but it has begun since Monday and last Friday, they were able to use it normally.  They are on a field, at first I thought that this might have been a connection problem.  I wanted to remove the pc of the field and back, but did not know that the domain password and none made the worker.  Apparently they have a crew of tech OK but they never come down and they always use remote access to their problems (if you ask me which is pretty cheap).  So, without being able to check if it's an issue of domain, rights user programs or else I couldn't fix this pc last night and since then I'm going crazy to explain why this issue is not solveable yet.

As I told my client last night, "I must get home and meditate on this one, it's a bit confusing... »

But my question: is there a way to bypass the admin to check the settings of other users access rights to the programs?  Or is there a fix I could use to temporaily give rights to the user?

    Hello

Your Windows XP question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows XP forum.

  • Whenever I run Safari my fan comes at top speed and gets hot.  This does NOT happen with Firefox

Since I upgraded to El Capitan, when I launch Safari, my fan is running hot, CPU goes into battery and use 100% drops quickly.  This does NOT happen with Firefox.

Force Quit Safari and then restart Safari while holding down the SHIFT key. This will launch Safari without plugins or extensions. If works in Safari you have to remove all extensions you have installed and reinstall better one at a time until you find the offending Safari extension.

  • Can I get Internet Explorer and Firefox both on my laptop?

Can I have Internet Explorer and Firefox on my laptop and be able to use either one, and if so, what are the disadvantages?

Hello DeseretRat, yes it is possible and should not have problems - you just choose one of the two default browser (which opens the links from external applications).

  • Firefox on Windows. When I click on a link, Firefox hangs up with a rotating cursor. Problem goes away by moving the mouse. This does not happen with IE.

Using Firefox 27.0, when I click on a link, a rotating cursor appears and continues to run. Move the cursor will solve the problem. I had this problem for several versions of Firefox, and I use automatic updates.

Please update Firefox, troubleshoot Add - ons and if this does not help, then do a clean reinstall.

    Thank you!
