By the way command def of strict type as refnum slot - VI

I would like to edit various properties of a control of type strict (cluster) def in a Subvi.  For example, I might want to change the colors or flashing property and have the change takes effect on the next level VI.  My first thought was to move a control refnum to the Subvi.  When I created the front panel for the Subvi, I couldn't find a way to define the type of the command refnum.  When I right click and choose 'Select VI class server' I select generic > GObject > control > RefNum > TypedRefNum.  I don't know how to set the specific type of def so that I don't get a class conflict.

Is there a better way to do this kind of thing?  If not, then what is the right way to assign the type of a control refnum def?

    Hi all, I have an embarrassing problem involving a strict type of semaphore def indicator. I use LV2011 SP1.

    I recently loaded several versions of a job that a colleague developed approximately 10 years on my computer. I did experiments with the latest version, mainly as an exercise.

    Naturally, I have backups of all the code, and I was working was actually a special, renamed copy just for safety.

    In total there are 6 separate labview projects covering several generations of employment, and they all ran.

    One of the things I was looking at was the use of two semaphores. These are used by getting a semaphore and then put it in a hidden flag. When the semaphore is necessary a ref to the indicator and a property node are used to retrieve the semaphore to acquire and release. LabVIEW actually creates a strict type def, instead of a clear indicator when you do this. This type def comes from the Semaphor.llb in the folder of the usefulness of the VI library.

    In my experiences I had disconnected the def type indicator, turning it into a clear indicator. He broke the VI, so I tried to undo the disconnection. It did not work. No problem, I thought.

    I closed the VI without saving it and reopened it expects to find the def type back in place. It wasn't. I then looked at the suite to find why the VI was broken and discovered that all references semaphore had disappeared from the block diagram. In fact, missing the referees for the two semaphores (I changed only one).

    I wasn't always too concerened because I had a lot of back ups that me is outsourced. But when I looked more VI, I discovered that each copy of the VI in each project had now broken in exactly in the same way.

    Then I the repaced with our backup system backups, but once I ran all projects has been broken in the same way.

    Then, I took out an old laptop with labview installed and ran back up to this point, without any problem.

    I then went back to my original broken VI experimental and replaced missing officials with new ones for normal semaphore flags and the VI is represented.

    If I create a new semaphore and the indicator on the laptop, it creates a strict type def, which seems to be OK. But if I do it on my computer it creates only a normal indicator.

    It seems as if somehow labview has lost the ability to connect to the def of type in the semaphor. Bachelor of law (it's still there, I checked). I also tried to create a regular flag and replace it with the type def in the llb. I find the type definition, but it cannot replace with it.

    Another thing I tried was to create the type indicators def in a VI on the laptop and then copy the VI on my computer. Indicators became normal on my computer.

    I'm sure that if I uninstall and reinstall Labview things will just come, but I hope that there is an easier and faster way. For me, it was suggested that somewhere there is an option to choose what type of indicator is the product which I changed somehow, but if so I can't find it!

    I hope that someone will help solve this problem.

    I haven't used semaphores, so I'm not familiar with this file individual .llb.  I'm a little surprised that it will create strict typedefs.

    My thought is that sometimes you accidentally changed the status of this reference typedef and got it rerecorded in the .llb file.  Look at the dates of files of the semaphor.llb on your computer problem and which behaves very well.  Who could tell you.

    Try to copy the file semaphor.llb from the PC during the work at the computer that is having problems.  (Do it with all your files and LabVIEW closed just to be sure there is no accidental error cross-linking).

    I created a Strict Type Def cluster with Boolean flags.

    I am unbundling of the cluster and some outputs unbundled wiring a slot - VI that I created. This subVIs input is connected directly to the entrance of the selector of a function add channels of true/false.

    It works, but I'm trying to understand why there is a stress point at the when the output of the cluster is connected to the Subvi. Is the reason why, because the cluster is a strict Type Def?

    If I have unbundled a cluster output wiring usually no constraint points appear.

    This scenario is one of the reasons why I freak out on the rumor that the stress points involve a copy of the buffer. They do NOT. LV said you only he does something for the representation of data and you want to inform you about it.

    Numbers and pages are trying to be smart and recognize wht kind of data that you enter. If you enter something that resembles a date they will treat it as such. Some people have problems with serial numbers because programs to format their numbers and not text.

    View the data that you are trying to enter and how it's changed and we ca probably to understand what is happening to her.

I see the option - network and - net available for the selection of the network by name, although I wasn't able to find a way to assign a static IP address in the ovftool command itself. Something like - ip0 = 10.10.10.10. Is there a way we can do that? User interface when we deploy an OVA, we have available to provide IP address, gateway, DNS and network mask.

    If the ovf/eggs is created to have definable properties, as an IP of the machine, you can use the "-prop ' parameter to ovftool.exe.

    By literature ( http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/ovf/ovf20/ovftool_201_userguide.pdf), is the syntax to set a property:

    --prop:

    It is near the bottom of page 24, as well as an example.

    To see if the ovf/eggs that you are using has configurable options, you can use ovftool.exe in mode "probe" (page 25).  Just issue the command with only one source, no target, as such:

    > ovftool.exe myAppliance.ovf
    

    This should generate the results of the probe, which should list all configurable properties, including their 'key '.  This key is what you use with the "-prop" parameter.  In the example of probe on pages 25-26, the FVO has two properties, 'db - ip' and 'ws - ip ".  Then you should be able to specify values for these properties by adding the following to your ovftool order:

    ... --prop:db-ip=10.10.10.10 --prop:ws-ip=10.10.10.11 ...

  • Can someone tell me what I should type in the screen command prompt to access the setupapi log so I can delete the files that stops me reinstall windows xp?

    My dell PC crashed then I followed the news online & tried to reinstall windows XP from my original CD. However, the keyboard & mouse stop working when the installation gets to the 33 minute section which requires me to a box on the screen. I saw tips online who says lets you check the setupapi log & delete the file question (s) that prevents the installation but it required that use you SHIFT & F10 to enter the command prompt screen, but my keyboard is isolated at this time. So I went in the recovery console (I think it's the command prompt)?  but I don't know which of the listed commands to use to perform the advice. I would be very grateful for help.

    I have version 2015 7 28 (8151) firmware and can not be updated any further because I have only the Android app.

    Explanation: I define three dimensions 3 points P1, P2, P3 and insert them in a list in the triangle command. What are the angles of the triangle.

    In the second argument, I defined the triangle specifying these points in the first list indices, which are 1,2,3. #FF means that it is blue.

    Here is the result:

    It's not very spectacular, because the only thing that the program leaves the coordinate z points away and drawing of the triangle 2 dimensions resulting. So there is not a lot 3-dimensionality thereon. In fact nothing.

    Now, I'll try to do a little more complicated by the third argument, I have left aside until now. The first 2 arguments are the 2 lists of lists.

    The simplest form is a rotation matrix or list trivial-{1}:

    I thought about it...

    The 'problem' is that, with only 3 entries in the first list and matrice matrix of a rotation, think the system, the first review, 3 3 points x, y parameters are, z coordinates for each of the 3 points. On second review, we see that they are not valid and an error. This stems from the fact that the Triangle can take so many different types of arguments and that it is not always easy to distinguish between the different forms.

    You can make sure the system interprets the input data in the form that you want to ensure that the list of the point has at least 5 Articles (even if they are not used). Then, he will work as in:

  • I can't defragment my hard drive, even though I cancelled the chkdsk command.

    Whenever I have try to defragment my HARD drive, I get the Error Message: Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on this volume (c). Please run Chkdsk/f. I ran, canceled regular for the C: drive, but I still get the same error message whenever I try to run Disk Defragmenter. What else should I do to fix this?

    When you try to defragment a volume of that Disk Defragmenter reports:

    Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: (c :))
     
    Please run Chkdsk /f.

    This means that the volume that you want to defragment was marked 'dirty' XP.  This is not necessarily all of the data has been lost on the volume, it simply means that XP thinks that the volume should be checked to find errors because of something that happened before.

    You won't be able to defragment the volume until the dirty bit has been removed.

    This does not mean that a disk check is scheduled to run, and you can't cancel what needs to happen in this case because this isn't the problem.

    Also the dirty bit is not set on a volume, you can still run a disk defrag with a record of date of arrival in the meantime (try).

    Entry of commands to reset or erase a disc awaiting review is therefore a waste of time - that is not the problem.

    A volume can be marked as dirty, if the system underwent a power interruption (power failure, pulling plug, removing the battery, button / stop), abandoned restart or an abnormal termination.  One of these events?

    When XP starts, it automatically checks the bit of impurity on each volume.  You can also tell XP to ignore the bit of impurity on any volume, but this probably isn't a good idea in case there is a real problem that needs to be fixed.  If you have a hard drive where the dirty bit will not disappear, you can tell XP not to check.

    If the starting XP detects that the volume is dirty, it will be automatically run the check disk with error correction (chkdsk/r) and try to fix the problems detected.

    If the chkdsk command succeeds, it clears the dirty bit, and then you can defragment the volume.

    You can check the status of your bit of impurity from a command prompt window.

    To do this, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    cmd

    Click OK to open a command prompt window.

    For example, to query the bit of impurity on drive C, type:

    fsutil dirty query C:

    The sample output:
    Volume c is dirty
    Volume C: is dirty

    Is the volume of your sale or it is not dirty?

    You cannot use fsutil or chkntfs from a command prompt to delete the bit of impurity on a volume.

    The only thing that can clear the bit of impurity on a volume is chkdsk /r (or chkdsk/p).  You could tell XP not to check the bit of impurity on a volume where the dirty bit does not erase, but this probably isn't a good idea since there is some sort of problem on the volume.

    You also won't solve this problem by editing your registry database - not where is the problem.

    Once a volume is marked as dirty, the only way to clear the dirty bit is to run "chkdsk/r" or "chkdsk/p" when the volume is not in use.  The only way a volume can not be used while XP is just starting to load or from the XP Recovery Console.

    If XP will not run chkdsk correctly when your system restarts or the dirty bit will not erase as it should, you need to look in the Event Viewer log chkdsk and see what is happening and fix it.

    If XP will not always clear the dirty bit, you need to run chkdsk/r of the XP Recovery Console so you can look and see what works and run it again until it works.

    If you need help in doing this, I'm sure a technical support engineer can tell you how, and if not, I'll give you instructions.

  • Behavior of the ADV change corrupt Excel File Types?

    I entered a strange state Excel.  I don't know how. ERGO, I don't know how to reverse the trend.

    All of a sudden, when I click on a file icon to open an Excel file with macros, I am invited twice to activate the macros (medium security).

    Specifically, if I start Excel (new book), add a dummy macro (Sub doit() / End Sub), and save Book1.xls, when I then click Book1.xls, I get two guests enable macro.

    I suspect that this began after I was experimenting with different Types of files advanced under Tools > Options for files in a folder.  I did not notice the problem then because I couldn't have clicked on a file icon for the Excel file with macros.

    Note: I think that the root cause, twice, opening the Excel file may exist even for files Excel without macros.  It simply may not be obvious without the enable macro prompt.

    Also note: I don't get the enable macro double guests when I open the file in Excel, for example by clicking on the name of the file in the list of recently opened files in Excel.

    Unfortunately, I do not know what that file type Advanced had my experiences.  Currently for XLS, they are:

    New:
    Action: ' "C:\...\EXCEL."» "EXE" / e/n %1
    The DDE message: [new ("%1")]

    Open:
    Action: ' "C\...\EXCEL."» EXE' / e '%1 '.
    The DDE message: [open ("%1")]

    It would not surprise me if the reference for %1 in the action line is redundant and root cause of the problem.  It does not appear in the line of action on another PC.  (Old Excel 2003 puts up-to-date and perhaps more older MSWin XP SP3 updates to date.)

    But if I try to delete the reference %1, XP (?) restored automatically, but without the quotes in the line of action "open".

    In other words, if I change the %1 and reference '%1', click OK, and then click on Edit again, %1 (without the quotes) reappears at the end of the two lines of action 'new' and 'open '.  The same is true if I close the file Options window, then re-open it.

    If I remove the double quotes in the "open" action line, I do not receive guests enable double-macro.  However, I get several errors when I click on the icon of the Book1.xls file in a Temp folder, namely:

    C:\Documents.xls is not found
    and.xls is not found
    Settings\Joe\My.xls is not found
    Documents\Temp\Book1.xls could not be found.

    Despite these errors, the Excel file is opened correctly.

    Note that the full path is "C:\Documents and Settings\Joe\My Documents\Temp\Book1.xls".

    This brings me to two tentative conclusions:

    1. the double quotes around the %1 in the line of action are needed for a path with interstitial spaces can be interpreted correctly.

    2. the file is indeed open twice, once for %1 in the line of action and again for %1 in the DDE message.

    On this basis, the prompt enable double-macro is not surprising when %1 is replaced with '%1' in the line of action.

    I can work around the double-open by editing the DDE message for the 'open' action, leaving '%1' at the end of the line of action.

    But that changes the behavior to open two Excel files by clicking on their icons in file, namely: each file is opened in a separate instance of Excel instead of the same instance.  Ironically, it is the alternative behavior that I was experimenting with some days; and it might even be the behavior that I prefer.  I'm mulling over always pros and cons.  (Which I am fully aware of and need any help understanding.)

    But the point is: it wasn't always the case.

    So the question is: how to make (less intrusive) to restore Excel to its previous behavior, only enable macro prompt and probably open the file only once and when I click on file icon in a folder by opening multiple files within the same instance of Excel?

    I certainly want to avoid to uninstall and then reinstall Excel.  I also want to avoid going back to a recent restore Point, since I'm not sure what desirable changes, I could have done in the meantime.  I am not opposed to editing the registry, if someone can tell me exactly what change to make.

    (Change my macro security to avoid any incentive is also not a viable alternative.)

    No doubt, this could be a matter of Excel, is not a matter of XP.  I'll post a similar question to Excel answers appropriate Forum.  I don't like the multi-post; but I don't know how crosspost, which is even supported by the Forum of answers.  However, I wonder if a XP-savvy person could recognize and solve the problem more quickly than a generalist to Excel.

    I use Office Excel 2003 SP3, Excel 11.8169.8172 version, and MSWin XP Pro SP3 update 29/03/2009.

    I know I'm behind in updates.  But all I ask is to restore the system (XP or Excel) to a State that worked fine before.  'Before' what I can not say with certainty; but certainly some time in the last week or two, during which I did no major changes to the system other than experimenting with File Types.

    I _-u-me that XP or Excel update is not necessary, unless someone can point to a specific patch since the 29/03/2009, which solve my specific problem.

    Without the CDROM to installation, I couldn't run Excel; He has always tried to complete the configuration of office.  And in fact, it was something on the CDROM which corrects the shares of Advanced File Types.

I was able to allow all parameters of strategy, as stated in the article however from the test I noticed that not all orders are saved. For example del, rename, and copy commands are not counted while the other type of sys-admin commands (ipconfig, netstat, nslookup, etc.) are being saved. My question is does anyone know why these commands are not counted since according to the example in the article, they should be? Is this normal?

    'Start' is an internal command to the shell.

    You do not say so, but I suspect that you have not run the previous commands at the command prompt. You have executed from within a batch file, which is another way to invoke a shell.

    It is not clear what you're asking.  If you mean a given icon only points to a single program, this is the way it is supposed to work.  If you mean that all your different desktop icons are pointing to the same program, it would be a problem and the likely result of a virus, or a sort of malware.  Here are a few things to check.

    Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

    If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

    Just a quickie - you can create a gauge-style bar of the spreadsheet (rather than via a report) with the following:

    I'm curious - is there a way to control the type - that is to say, do a comparator rather? Or this can be done through reports? There are all the other parameters can be adjusted (colors, labels, etc.)? Did I miss something in the documentation?

    Also, is it any documentation that explains all the other bits possible and bats that might be available using the SQLDEV: command/fucntion/etc? EG - I can't do graphics, etc.?

    It was a feature that was added to facilitate the creation of the database management screen and I thought since I was creating the rendering engine, I would expose it.
    It is limited to only display parameters MIN | MAX | MIN_THRESHOLD | MAX_THRESHOLD | VALUE. No other report components are exposed as renderer in this time and we
    currently have no plans to improve this feature.

    When I used to use OE as my email client, it was possible to create "groups" in the address list, with the facility to send then to the group by name, so that each recipient included in the Group of email addresses all received the e-mail in question. (For example, the group named "IVG" consisted of six e-mail addresses, owned by six members of a discussion group, as I do, and I could send all at once simply email for IVG). Now, here's my question: in OE, I could fill the e-mail addresses of members of the Sub-group by simply selecting them in my list (s) global e-mail address. In TB, on the other hand, it seems that the only way to create a "new list" in the global list existing, is to type the address of each recipient by hand - an amazingly arduous task if the subgroup is of any size. And it is not clear that, even when the "new list" is over, it can be used as a "mass mailing" vehicle like the subgroup could in OE. Can someone tell me, please, if and how I can compile a subgroup within the address list of TB in the same way that I have described for OE? (And I can deal with just like a 'name' to send e-mails to all members of the subgroup, as described above?)

    As you describe with OE, use the name of the mailing list replaces the addresses it represents. You can of course just select from your address book as any regular Contact entry.
