  You may need a clean installation.

  First export your bookmarks to an html file. (Bookmarks/Unsorted bookmarks will bring you history page where you can export your bookmarks.) Note your modules too.

  Uninstall the old FF, using free software like Revo Uninstaller. This will remove all directories of the root and records of old FF.

  Now download the latest version of FF and install it. You can re - import your bookmarks from your saved html file.

  You should always do what I suggested in my first post, even after the clean install of FF.

• VAIO windows 7 blocked to the Startup Repair

  I have a computer laptop sony vaio with windows 7 installed.i has left the computer last night and today morning when I opened it, he was stuck at the boot repair.i it turned off and restarted and occurred the following.

  After the vaio logo a blank screen with a cursor appears and stays there for a while.then it shows "windows is loading files". Then a "microsoft corporation" page with a green bar running appears.   I tried to restart and it's the same thing.

  I tried vaio care rescue and even that does not start.

  F8 does not work for advanced startup options.

• Blocked startup program? Application of UpdateUtil?

  well, ive google search and found next to nothing.

  IM especially try to find what is this program.

  the name of the file is "netfxupdate.exe.

  Netfxupdate.exe is a file associated with Microsoft .net framework.
  You can allow the program to run on the computer.
   
  User account control prevents programs that require permission or an administrator password from running automatically when Windows starts. If a program is blocked, you will see a message in the notification area that says that some startup need permission to run programs. You can run a blocked program, remove blocked startup programs or ignore the notification.

  To run a blocked program

  1 blocked startup programs right click on the icon in the notification area.
  2. click on run blocked program, and then click the name of the program to run. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  To remove a blocked program from startup

  You can remove a blocked program from startup so that it tries to run automatically whenever you start Windows. Removal of the startup program does not remove the program from your computer.

• Captivate 9 crashes on startup

  I ran Technical Communication Suite 2015, Illustrator and Photoshop CS6 without problem on a machine Windows 7 Professional to i5. I just upgraded to a machine of Windows 7 Professional i7 with more memory and a larger drive. I disabled the old machine and everything has been installed on the new machine. Everything seemed OK at first, but after allowing Adobe Device Manager to upgrade to Adobe Creative cloud and taking updates from Photoshop and Illustrator, Captivate now blocks immediately at startup.

  After you have reinstalled without success I uninstalled, ran AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool and reinstalled everything. I tested all applications and all including Captivate started OK. I noticed the fonts in the browser and looked very jagged and attributes this something which must do the cleaning tool dialog boxes. I noticed that ClearType was turned off and turned back on taking of Illustrator and Photoshop updates. Captivate started crashing again. I'm a little unsure as to if this is due to the Creative Cloud update or the company of ClearType. I disabled Cleartype, restarted, but Captivate still crashes.

  What happens and how can I solve this problem?

  Well, after reinstalling Tech Comm Suite again once, Captivate is not crashing on startup. I turned ClearType, restarted, and Captivate still works. It seems to me, really, that was updated for Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator creative cloud beat Captivate. I don't know if it's a bug to report or not, and I really don't like going through the whole process to check it out. Because the way that has happened twice after the updates, I'm confident enough, it was the cause. In any case, I'm working now. The proper order might be to install Photoshop, Illustrator, make updates, and THEN install Tech Comm Suite 2015.

  The lesson of the day seems to be install and update older products before installing the latest products.

  There are some apps on my iPhone that block immediately at startup.  I noticed that this happens mostly with Tubmlr and Timehop, but happened with Outlook and Snapchat from time to time. Honestly, for a while, I thought it's only on the apps that start with a "T".

  When I run the application, it crashes immediately... but the interesting thing is that when I double click on the home, the app button "crashed" present in the multitasking window as if it it launched. If I try to switch to it, it crashes again.

  The only remedy seems to be reset the phone, but invariably it happens again in a few days.  This has happened for a few months, it seems not to be a problem with the applications themselves, more with something in the iOS.

  I would try to remove the apps, perform a forced reboot and reinstall applications. If the problem persists, I would try a system restore.

  Computers notebooks are portable computers that can be easily stolen and protection of BIOS is the functionality of security very important which must offer the maximum on the security of the data (to block the OS startup).

  All laptops Toshiba don t have the same mechanism for BIOS password removal. Some of them are very complicated and even service cannot be removed without contacting Toshiba directly. So all of these methods, you can find on the net, especially with the battery CMOS removal will not work. It would be too easy for thieves to remove the BIOS password and have full access to the operating system.

  You can check all these documents posted by rotemanq and Googling all about you can find hundreds of similar documents, but they won't help you much.

  Best option for you is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and they can do for you. It costs a little but they will remove it for you.

  Can someone help me with a Board? Question:

  Several times in the last 3 days, I tried to install the printer and scanner HP Photosmart C5280. I did everything that was recommended on the following page (and a few others):www8.hp.com/sk/sk/support-topics/windows8-support/printer-install-issues.html

  What is happening is that the downloaded file PS_AIO_02_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_408.exe will extract and then nothing more. Installation does not start.

  I aso did the following:

  • I tried to use HP HP printer install wizard for Windows and HP scanner doctor Utility - Diagnostic tools , but without success.
  • PC rebooted after each change
  • Blocked programs from startup such as recommended in the above mentioned link

  I will be obliged for all the advice that will be led to successful installation until I get angry.

  Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

  1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Never select and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
