C:\Windows\System32\igfxtray.exe windows pop up on startup.

Whenever I boot, two popup Windows security warnings asking whether or not to run C:\Windows\System32\igfxtray.exe. It seems not important to know if I press Run or Cancel, they then disappear until the next time I start up, but it is rather annoying. How can I solve this problem?

Thank you very much to all those who can help you! :)

It is the process of the taskbar for your Intel Graphics Accelerator.  It is not spyware, malware or a virus.  I wouldn't delete the file.  You can check your security software, how to let him know that a program is safe and what to do to igftray.exe... Hi DadVQ,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

This problem occurs because of a missing or corrupted Rundll32.exe file. This problem can also be caused by a virus.

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Follow the steps mentioned in the article below and check if the problem still persists.

Cannot find the Rundll32.exe file when you open Control Panel

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812340

Method 2: If the problem persists, I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Everything started after I ran scan and scan deleted some files infected. However, I can use the system. Where and how to download the missing files? Or how the system does not deliver messages?

Two of the three files are probably part of the malware infection and not the files infected. The third is probably the same details in this link:

To identify what loads when you start using Autoruns (freeware from Microsoft).
    http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx

With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig. You will find the three points and they will have a description 'file is missing' against everyone. Your antivirus software has removed the files, but not the startup entries in the registry. All you need to do is delete the entry using Autoruns to eliminate the error messages.

Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

    \Windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe

    kernel is missing or damaged.

I use Windows Server 2008 R2 installed on 70 GB primary partition & active with appropriate MBR.  It is not the consumer - it is installed on the laptop.  After the repair broken BCD (Windows 7 installation DVD, DVD server doesn't have this tool :() this problem.) I know that this (ntkrnlpa.exe) file does not exist, and it should not. System could not start any mode (even Safe Mode base).

The disc is perhaps the problem because PARAGON Hard Disk Manager 2011 has problems with the editing of this partition but it it sails well (as other tools). The files seems good. Also, CHKDSK has not found no serious problems such as bad sectors - it fixed only tiny problems.

I was told that I could find the file on another computer stick in my memory stick and reapply, only problem I have is I don't know where its located. I'm on windows XP.

    Thank you very much

Thanks for the suggestion, Lisa!  I tried the link but it says page is more noticed.

You happen to know any other solution for that darn missing file?  I can't open all the apps in my control panel! ACK!

Someone found a solution to this problem yet?  Thanks a lot for any attempt to answer!

    :)

EDIT: I GOT IT!  Browsing the internet, I came across this answer:

Find a copy of rundll32.exe in the folder c:\windows\system32\dllcache or c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386.
If you find it, go ahead and copy rundll32.exe in the c\windows\system32 of the system folder.

Otherwise you need a windows disk to extend this fichier.* *.

I have dd a search on my computer for the file "rundll32.exe" and he came in two different folders on my hard drive.  But it MUST be in c:\windows\system32 (file there lack of).  I found the file in the folder dllcache as shown above, then simply copied and pasted in the system32 folder.  And WALLAH!  Problem solved and control panel and all the rest works just fine now!  So simple!  I hope it works for you, the people who are still struggling with this problem!
