  • When I open one of my folders in my documents, I get a message from windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I have a 'My videos' folder that recently crashes when I open it. Any ideas?

    Two things come to mind.
One is a corrupted file system.  For that fix, run a chkdsk with the /F or/r option operation.  It is a part of the normal maintenance and should be done even when sometimes...

"How to perform disk error in Windows XP check"

The other is a bad extension.  To fix this, download the freeware «ShellExView» software
    ShellExView: <> http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html >
When you run it, it will give the list all extensions of shell on your computer.  You can disable one of them by right-clicking on it and selecting "disable".  Try turning off the blocks and see if you have new access to your directory.  I would like to start with the non-Microsoft who have an extension in the column "extensions" that correspond to the files in this directory.

    Hi Jaaz76

    Method 1:

You can perform a security analysis and check if there are viruses or malware present. Check out the link below to run the scan and check if this helps-

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Method 2:

Also I suggest you perform a SFC scan and check. To Perform a Scan SFC -

    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow

    b. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

    c. a message indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient, because the analysis may take some time

    d. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. Hopefully though you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem installing MS LifeCam 2.07-"MsCamSvc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Although the WebCam was working before, I had to uninstall the software due to other problems. To re - install the software from the CD, I now get an error message: "MsCamSvc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." I updated the new driver on the site of Ms. There is also no yellow or green light on the WebCam after installation and connection to USB port.  I got the WebCam to an electronics store, and they tested the material; This works. Why it will not properly install on my computer?

    Hello

I suggest try to uninstall and reinstall boot clean and check if it works.

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Audio Board error, "IDT audio system tray application has encountered a problem and needs to close" at startup

On startup, I get "IDT audio system tray application has encountered a problem and needs to close." How can I fix it?

    By replacing the file mixer...

Right click on my computer > in the drop-down list on the left click on explore > in the menu bar, click Tools > File Options > see tab (or display) > 'Show Hidden files... ". "is ticked > stand c:\windows\system32\dllcache and right-click on the sndvol32.exe file and copy > paste here c:\windows\system32 and replace the existing file if requested > re - start.

    The error should disappear.

If, for some reason, it does not disappear and you have no sound, download, then reinstall your audio drivers on the PC/Laptop manufacturers website.

  • Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close, heartbreaking.

Recently, while ripping the cd to Windows Media Player 11 on XP Service Pack 3, I'm frequently getting the message "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close."  It happens usually during the second or third disc.  I then close and reopen and am immediately able to rip the CD.  Sometimes the player will immediately be closed as soon as I click on "start rip."   Any ideas?

The same thing happens if you rip to MP3 or WMA?

Post here the technical details of the accident. Go to Start- run , type eventvwr.msc , and then press ENTER.

In Event Viewer, access to the application log and look for an error in the list, there should be two entries for the last crash. Double-click on these two events and copy/paste their description in your post.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
