C3180 with OS Mavericks

Is there a new driver that overcomes the problems with this new version. "Since installing, printer emits white sheets with ' 234 X ' and '2' codes. Likely to be other issues as well with the scanner.

Hi marty1505

You're not the first to encounter this problem. Here's a post from MBJustice that says ' we have a solution, we are currently working on getting it displayed and available for affected users.

Click here to see the wire and what others said > «it initially resembles a piece of code PCL.» We have guys on this code and hope to have a fix soon. »

Click here for a possible solution. This has worked for others, but not for everyone. Print additional page after installation of Mavericks.

I hope that workaround will work for you good luck.

  • Connection Officejet 6100 to Wifi with the Mavericks

I have Mac OS 10.9.2 (Mavericks) and have installed all available updates.  I just bought a HP Officejet 6100.  The configuration software supplied with the printer does not work on the Mavericks.  I can use the printer via USB, but have no idea how to do to connect the printer to my wifi network.  All the instructions I found point using the diskette supplied with the printer (not compatible with the Mavericks) or assume that I already connected the printer to my network wifi (which is the problem that I am trying to solve).

I had HP products in the past and if it is connected to the network, but it supports WPS and has a touchscreen user interface.  This printer does not seem to be supported.  The wifi light just keeps blinking.

I don't like on ePrint, etc..  I want just the printer connected to my wifi so I can print from any number of computers on this network.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

It wasn't very nice, that we were just trying to help.  Don't tell you specifically that your router has WPS.

On your printer, press and hold the button wireless for 3 seconds.  Within 2 minutes, press the the router WPS button.

Wait about 2 minutes. If the printer connect successfully, the wireless light will stop blinking but stays on.

From there, you can connect your printer on your Mac:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • better integration with the Mavericks. Still a problem with the display of the menu bar spaces when moved

Much better integration with the OSX mavericks on the latest version. Without a doubt ahead of Parallels in terms of dual display/full screen. The menu bar has been resolved, but there is a ghost menu bar that appears when you move one space (fullscreen vm) from one monitor to the other. It resembles a translucent bar on top and without words. But clicking on it shows menus as if it is supposed to be links there.

Yes, it is a known problem with the Mavericks Developer Preview; We work closely with Apple to find a solution. So far, we have seen only with the restoration of the window or when you move the window between monitors - if you leave full screen and enter again, it should work fine. If you notice any others, please let us know.

  • Compatibility to contribute with the Mavericks

I use Contribute CS3 to edit my site, but now that I've updated my iMac with OS X 10.9 Mavericks, Contribute no longer works. Can I upgrade to a version that is compatible with the MAvericks?

I use 6.5 with OS X 10.8 with some difficulty. Recently, I have recommended a customer to purchase Contribute to maintain a Web site, that we have recently rebuilt for him. It is impossible to install Contribute on its system OS X 10.9 and learned Adobe support that it was "not compatible". I have three questions:

    (1) adobe do intend to solve this problem with a free upgrade?

    (2) if so, when? (not really expect an answer this)

    (3) can anyone recommend another product?

We do business based on the available information and decisions of reasonable expectations. It is time for Adobe to step up and answer 1. If the answer is no, he needs to return the product and get a refund.

  • There is no feature to unlock by Apple Watch with the Mavericks

    Hello

I've updated my Mac Mini (2013) to the Mavericks but found no line under 'Security' in 'System Preferences' which gives me the option to unlock by Apple Watch? I have re-installed the software but still nothing appears. I've updated my iCloud with the "two factor authentication" settings and still nothing...

    Can someone help me please?

You say in your post that you have a Mac Mini in 2013, but your lower signature, color gray, says you have a Mac Mini from 2012.

    Who is this?

In any case, the unlock feature requires any model 2013 and later Mac running the new macOS Sierra (NOT OS X 10.9 Mavericks) using a Apple Watch, running watch OS 3 with an iPhone 5 or later.

Time for either to update hardware and software!

  • Why v31.0 claims that it takes high Perf GPU on my MacBook Pro with OS Mavericks?

According to activity monitor, a utility that is part of the Mavericks, Thunderbird requires the GPU to High Performance on my MacBook Pro - it's the only program that I run all the time that makes. I think that it is a new problem with this version and the suspect, it is a cause to exhaust the battery increased.

I think I may have the solution.

The bug report here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=693852 says in its last comment (8) that the "Hardware acceleration has now been disabled by default for TB 9".

It is not disabled by default anymore.

However if I use the configuration editor to 'layers.acceleration.disabled instead of 'true' set', as suggested in the first comment on bug 693852, the problem of high Perf GPU disappears.

Try disabling IPv6 (also check other possible causes):

You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain you don't want to lose then check that back up these data or make a comment.

You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

  • How to migrate data with the Mavericks (MacBook) Setup Wizard to El capitan (MacBookPro)

    Hello

A few days ago, I bought a refurbished MacBook Pro (El Capitan) and intended to migrate the data from my old MacBook (Mavericks) backup via Time Machine. Annoyingly, the migration wizard does not recognize the HD. He's looking for and search, the wheel turns and turns...

Research on the web it seems to be a common problem. I also read that you can also use the Setup Wizard to migrate all data and programs? Can someone help me with this and tell me how to do? Thanks in advance!

Yes, the Setup Wizard is the way to go. But you have to use the first time you start your new Mac. So, if you have not done too tight on the new, re - format the hard drive and use the Migration Wizard when you are prompted.

  • Last Magic Mouse 2 is not compatible with the Mavericks 10.95 - and that stinks

It is not so much a question as an expression of stunned disappointment.  My old mouse Magic went kablooey, and so I got a new.  Unfortunately when I the paired with my MacPro 2012, running the Mavericks 10.95 (sorry Apple, you have not matched the Mavericks speed and performance with Yosemite and El Capitan) I discovered that features the touch like scrolling and swiping has not worked.

After an hour to read the little booklet that comes with the mouse, zap the PRAM, reset the SMC and usually ask myself? *  I watched the Magic Mouse box and found the answer in 3 grey dots on white type: requires OS 10,11 or higher.  All right.  Mea culpa, caveat emptor, blah blah.  I should have read through the entire page of the Magic Mouse on the Apple Store Web site, but I already have the product so don't figure there were many new take into account.

However, it seems strange to me that a completely necessary peripherals does not work with a BONE from a few years ago.

There are loyal customers (30 years of computer science and I have never used or owned a PC) who use your products as professional (I'm a sales manager of creation) and, for reasons that go beyond taste, prefer your earlier and faster OS.  Apple wants to move the herd along for many understandable reasons.  I do advertising.  I get it.  Offers new features and the "improvements" that Miss on users who refuse to put up-to-date is perfectly logical.  But prevents them from having a functional Apple mouse goes too far.  It will encourage strong armament and it stinks.

In light of Apple's strategy, it seems pretty ironic that the same company that once derided the PC world as thinkers authoritarian group straight out of Orwell is curve at this level to get its users to conform to his version of the future.  What the * happened to "Think Different"?

Good question, I guess, and I can only opine; as you know, we are here just volunteers.

The question is... when a company changes its products.   As I see it, different operating systems have developed over the years at a huge pace, such that cannot not could be foreseen four years ago.   So the Magic Mouse 1 was fine for the moment but did not have the ability to adapt to meet the current needs.     So what does Apple?   It must be a new mouse that will respond to current needs and anticipate the needs for some time in the future.

You can still buy the old MM1, although you might have to go hunting.   And of course, you can take the old one back if it was purchased less than 14 days ago in most countries and 28 days ago in the United Kingdom and most European countries, I believe.

I hope you get over your troubles.

  • With the Mavericks 2009 MBP starts, won't back up

I have a MacBook Pro for mid-2009 Mavericks running (slowly). Two days ago, he froze and wouldn't respond. I let it rest awhile and then held down the power button. When I turned it back on, he got on the gray apple screen and then the loading wheel would run indefinitely. I close it then once again, but nothing helped. I looked online and found Linc Davis's response:

MacBook pro won't start.  Stuck on apple with spinning logo.

Under notice here, I deleted an external HD started in recovery mode (which took awhile, but ends by occurred) and the utility disk and from there tried to transfer the partition Go Macintosh HD 499.11 the 500.11 GB Toshiba HD to a slightly larger partition of my HDD external newly restructured. I waited a bit (he told me that I had 1 day and 8 hours continuously without change), and then he gave a "input/output error" and stopped trying. I have since stopped, not wanting to take the risk of any action without advice by Prime.

I have data on that disc that I don't have in my last backup and would like to save as much as possible. What are my options? What should I try next?

If you have another Mac available, I suggest that you try the target disk mode:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201462

Or out the HARD drive, install it in a closed enclosure and connect it to another Mac and see if you can access your files.

If no success, the you must decide if you want to try the data recovery software available on the Internet.  It is not free.

    Ciao.

  • Several screens on iMac mid-2007 with the Mavericks os

It's the back of my computer (an iMac mid-2007 of 20 ") and it is running on 10.9.5 Mavericks.

I think that the port farther to the right is a mini displayport, but I don't know because I had a mini displayport to hdmi adapter and it does not extend to the bottom of the socket and also wouldn't keep the Hdmi cable in it. I want to add my Samsung TV as a screen for my computer. Is this possible? How can I do it in this case?

    Hello Peartree327,

I appreciate that you try to get your iMac to have TV as secondary display. Return to what you can do to get this working.

This port for the video on the right is going to be a Mini-DVI port. You would pair that more a DVI to HDMI Cable, you should be able to get the video to your TV. Take a look at the articles below to review the techniques and information on the cards for you help to iron out.
