C4780 wireless scanning
I have a new iMac core duo system 10.6.2. My HP software is current, I just ran the update and checked. I just installed the C4780 for use on my network wireless set up by my airport extreme base. Wireless printing works very well. HP utilities seems to see and access the C4780 fine on the network. The widget dashboard HP sees even the ink levels. My Apple print and fax preferences also sees the printer very well and can even run the scanner, but with limited parameters and functionality. HOWEVER, the scanning HP application search but can't find the C4780. So I can't scan using this application. Suggestions?
The CD included only 10.5 and 10.4 drivers. You can find a recommended driver here for Snow Leopard (10.6).

C4780 wireless printer cannot find the access point
I have c4780 wireless printer. It will print fine using the usb connection, but has never printed wireless.
PC operating system is Windows Vista. Wireless router is the linksys WRT54G. The printer does not see the access point. The security mode of the router is WPA Personal. I have a unique SSID. ISP is Timewarner Roadrunner.
How do I get this to a wireless connection?
Try this firmware update.
In addition, sweat you are broadcasting your SSID and not using MAC filtering.

C4780 Wireless - Apple Airport/TimeCapsule will not connect to wifi
I just bought a HP C4780 Wireless printer. Installation via the USB port on my MacBook Pro OSX10.6 works very well.
BUT when I try to set up a wireless connection, only connected via the USB port while it fails during the installation process. Setup program sees my network wirelessly between a couple of neighbors networks... mine is the strongest. Yet when I hit the "continue" button to connect, I get a message... "" Network unavailable selected Wi - Fi network is not within reach of the unit.
My network has encryption - WPA_PSK works perfectly. During the wireless installation, I got the word of network gateway ready to kick it, but do not get to the screen under the "Network Configuration" screen which is the 'Security settings' screen that would allow me to enter the password. This problem occurred on two Apple laptops on my network.
When I select another neighbor (public network), it works fine.
I called the Support technique Apple and went on my Apple Network Setup and all seems OK. I'm at a loss as the change, etc. I downloaded the installation and latest drivers from HP. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks Den
I owe you a great great!
I write this, the printer prints on our discussion logs!
Thanks much for hanging in there for me!
You have made my day. Den

I recently got the c4780 all-in-one. It's great to work wireless with my win xp computer. However, I got an old laptop victory 2000, which I want to use for printing the aswell c4780 wireless.
I know that HP is not officially compatible win 2000, but is it possible that I can make it work?
Thanks in advance.
Yes it is. Go to the Printers folder and select Add a printer. Select local printer and create a TCP\IP port to the IP address of the printer. Now select the printer as the HP Deskjet 990c driver, and you should be able to print.

Hello @Williams2and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see that you have any questions about your ability to scan. I would like to help!
You are connected via a USB cable or a wireless connection?
I recommend to remove printer ink cartridges and reset the power supply. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.
I suggest also download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

HP C4780 wireless set in place with Snow Leopard
So I bought the HP C4780 printer since it's wireless and said it was easy to use. Well up to now which seems wrong.
Here is my set up: MacBook Pro under Snow Leopard (10.6.2), Airport Express model A1264 (establishing an access point wireless in my office of the ethernet connection) and the HP C4780. I know that the Airport Express Terminal works since I can access the internet and the rest of the office network.
Can I use the C4780 fine if I connect it directly to the MBP by USB, but I can't understand for the life of me how to connect wireless (and I don't want to connect the USB cable of the Airport Express Terminal... they are too far away without buying more cables and bat so to the point of wireless!). All the instructions provided with the printer speak to insert the disc in place and following the installation of HP, but there was a big sticker on the box saying NOT to use the drive as all drivers are part of the leopard to snow... so basically, the instructions are useless. Then when I look online I see no instructions specifically for Snow Leopard. It's very frustrating! I spent all day trying to make heads or tails of the instructions and could never make it work.
Does anyone know of some easy to follow set up instructions? Thank you!
Try to use the method of the WPS (Wi - Fi Protected Setup) button to connect your C4780 to your Airport Express Terminal. This linkshows how.
To activate button WPS on your C4780 method, press:
- Scan
- Wireless menu
- WPS
- Push button

Photosmart C4780: connection for Photosmart C4780 wireless
I spent two hours through the simplistic menu of the printer, only to print copies of the Configuration Page of HP network and Test wireless network without success reports. I think I made all the necessary steps... such as the restoration's default network.
"Your HP printer cannot find your wireless router. Check that your wireless router is powered. Make sure that your network printer HP (SSID) name exactly matches the network name (SSID) wireless routher yout. If they do not exactly match, run the installation of the wireless network to set up your HP printer.
Well, I have entered my IP address of the router as the url of the browser and connected to my cable account, but was not able to change the SSID.
I also looked at the Youtube page help HP and on discussion forums and tried to use the suggestions.
One who seems to be similar to my situation is this:
I, too, can't find "the HP network configuration.
I also downloaded the Printer Driver HP Patch for my OS.
At this point, I'm not sure that I can do. The other suggestion on this page was to find a friend with a PC. I phone my mother on-site, running Windows 10. I also downloaded its respective driver. I don't know what I should do next. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a D-Link router, and I can provide additional information, such as IP, WiFi SSID, pine, etc., if necessary.
Hello
You need to press on you first, WPS option on the printer.
Please, try this and let me know how it goes:
- On the printer control panel, press the button next to Scan, and then press the button next to the Wireless Menu.

Hello
I have a hp photosmart C4780, I am trying to connect wireless to. The printer works fine via usb. But after several attempts to connect to my network I have no luck.
I tried to reinstall the software on my pc 64-bit windows 7 by ensuring that it is the latest software and updates for the printer.
I restarted the router several times. I tried to connect via WPS button and PIN method. I used all the guides help on HP site but no luck.
My fear is that the raido wireless not working anymore.
I printed the wireless network test report and everything looks good except that it says it failed to find the SSID of the network
and next to the IP address, it does not say there is. It indicates the mode of communication is in ad-hoc.
I don't see all of any of my devices hpsetup wireless network. Try a reset in the menu of the printer maintenance does not seem to work either.
Any ideas?
Hello

Canon Pixma wireless scanning with MBP 10.11.6 mg3220
Suddenly, from one day to the other, the scan wireless function no longer works between my MBP (OS 10.11.6) and the Canon Pixma MG3220 printer/scanner. I downloaded the driver of Canon more up-to-date, but eliminating the possibility of using the Image Capture.
How to restore the wireless function? Is it possible to uninstall this latest driver and reinstall the driver of the Mini Master of Canon, good through 10.8 OS?
If you haven't already done so, try to reset the printing system.

Photosmart C4780 wireless installation under 10.6
Well, I have a Photosmart C4780 printer, and I try to get connected to the network. I need to connect it wirelessly because that cable of three feet it came with just do not cut it.
I have no idea how to connect it. I see nothing on the networks in the software of the printer, and the printer itself menus are cryptic and buggy.
Any statement of Mac, I can find is for older versions using the real HP software. From what I understand, if I'm on Snow Leopard, I'll use drivers and the software I already have. The sole instructions of Snow Leopard I can find hidden only setting via the USB port.
Help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Download the latest version of the software HP here
Run the program and first have the USB cable connected to the printer, you will come to a point in the configuration where you will be asked if you want to configure the wireless printer. Confirm the configuration wireless and just the follow through. You will need to know your wireless network security settings and benefit that your Mac is on the wireless network that you want to use with the printer. It's pretty simple.

I have a Dell with Windows 8.1, HP officejet 4500 Wireless. Work to find two days ago, but now my "HP Solutions Center 's" software does not see the scanner. \
The Solutions Center softwared (that comes with the printer controll scanning photos and documents) is back with a message: The HP Imaging device was not found. Try the following steps that... None of them worked.
See my PC to the printer, and I can print to the printer, but CAN'T SCAN. Help me please.
[email edited by Moderator]Hello @chuckg7kc , welcome to the forums
I've read about the software problem that you encounter on your system Windows 8.1, as printing software does not work for you, and you see the error "the HP Imaging device cannot be found". I have some ideas in mind which may help you!
Perform an uninstall of level 3:
If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:
1. press Windows key + R and type %temp% enforcement and press enter
2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)
3 open the Util folder
4 open the CCC folder
5. run the L3uninstall.exe
6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup
8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
9. try a clean boot that turns off all startup programs. Disable all firewall and anti-virus too and try the installation again.
10 download the drivers and full software features: here
11. once the printer is installed, go back to the clean boot instructions to re-enable the startup programs.
Good luck

Printer is set up wireless and print very well. I can't scan to she and I watched so many options that I do not know what way to go today. I need a simple solution. :-) I tried to install and reinstall using the USB, and the configuration and restart and pulling on the cord to restart and it still says the feature is not enabled - open printing software and select the scanner actions control scan-to. What software? HP Solution Center, it cannot work because the device is not said is installed. So I follow that and run it and still get the same thing. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr It scans using the USB stick very well. :-)
Hi Marcy,
Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.
I'm sorry that it makes you crazy.
I was reluctant to pick it up because I suspect that you have already done this... However your post does not specifically say that this is the case. I will take a decision on the assumption there is only chance which suite will help.
You can try:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer
Control Panel > set display icon > programs and features >
Scroll to the bottom to find the printing software > right click on the program > Uninstall
- Restart / reboot the computer and connect
Install the full functionality for the printer software:
Install full software features - OfficeJet 6700
Because you are able to run the printer wireless, I would say that at least for now, you do not connect the USB cable.
The instructions (above) is an example of using the Printer Wizard (officially the Solution Center). After you install the full feature software, the Printer Wizard shortcuts should be on your desktop. Try to use the Printer Wizard to scan shortcut.
I hope that remove and then installing a new copy of the updated printer software printer Support pages can solve the problem for you.
Click on the Thumbs - Up Kudos to show that you appreciate the help.

HP Officejet 4500 Wireless scanning
I have a HP Officejet 4500 Wireless and use the Mac OS X operating system 10.5.8,. When I scan photo they open in my preview software. How and where can I change the settings so that they open in Adobe Photoshop?
Hello
Instead of scanning from the software, try scanning through your app (Adobe PS). The preview should then be given to you by the PS.

8500 a909n AIO wireless scanning
Printer print wireless. Network works. There is a second computer that also prints the printer wireless.
Problem: HP says printer solution center is disconnected, so I can't scan. Even when I press the button Setup on the PRINTER, it is said to use digital repository configuration wizards in the solutions Center to implement this feature.
If I use the HP printing software and doctor Scan, the printer will scan and pass the test. Once I leave the doctor Scan software, the printer won't scan.
Is it possible to get a new version of the HP Solution Center that works with Windows 7?
Is there a better way to print and scan wireless?
Any help would be appreciated.
Tony
Great!
I followed your instructions and everything works fine. Printer scans and print wireless.
One thing, though. You can get HP to find a way to go through this process without having to enter a mode 'clean boot '? It takes more time I need to.
Anyway, your help has been invaluable.
Thank you, again.
Tony
