Hello
I have a C50-230 satellite pc
Reference number: PSCG8V-02T00FAR
Serial number: 8D224913S

I have a few problems:

1-i cant find drivers, all sites of toshiba said they recognize my phone
I have not found my model in toshiba MEA then that in my laptop writings "approved for sale in MEA."

2 - my pc meets all the minimum requirements for windows 10 so I want to know if I can run windows 10 and if I can't I want to know why

3-i did not receive my windows 10 update, so I decide to manually install launch iso file but I need my product key and I do not know how to find

Thank you TOSHIBA

You can find the key to product via this little tool Produkey. Just download my dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3vs59ucyw...KuwIE9dAa?dl=0 and click on the exe ;-) You ill see the Windows product key.

Greetings from Belgium

  • Satellite C50-A230 - how to change the settings of the BIOS to dual boot

    Hello

    Toshiba c50-a230 (PSCG8V), 32-bit win10

then a classic question... I want to install ubuntu alongside with windows 10 and im stuck in the first State

So how do you go into the bios settings and configuration options of dualboot?

    Thank you.

I think first of all you need to create a Toshiba recovery media before you upgrade or install other systems.
The recovery disc can be created using the preinstalled software "Toshiba Recovery creator environment."

So after this environment has been created, you could improve the system of Windows 10.
After that, you will need to create a partition for installing Linux.

I could recommend a freeware program called Gparted.
You can create a bootable USB key containing Gparted to create an additional partition.

Note: in the BIOS of the changes must be done in order to start from external sources (DVD or USB). Secure boot must be disabled and in the event that the new system will not support UEFI, the boot mode must be changed (from UEFI to CSM)

But as far as I know Ubuntu supports UEFI, it should be possible to install this OS as part of UEFI mode.

  • Problem starting for C50-A-1 satellite

Hello. C50-A-1 does not start, but gets the message:

no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key

I disabled secure and changed starting UEFI to CSM, but still can only boot from ODD. While trying to boot from the HARD drive, there is once again the previous message. Any help? Thank you.

I was wrong. It starts very well. The HARD drive has been erased and the USB flash drive has a problem. Now I installed the OS on HARD drive, everything is OK. Sorry I have rushed to create a new thread.

  • Windows 10, nvidia 930 m Satellite C50-C022 opengl error

I bought this Toshiba - Satellite-C50-C022 with 10 64-bit windows. I can't update the drivers nvidia for the newest version. When I do all the appz I use which uses opengl, the screen goes black. I have to stay with the default drivers 347.52 with what he came. This isn't a problem with appz using direct3d as 3dmax. The problem is with opengl and new drivers nvidia on this laptop.

    Black window in lightwave

    Black window in modo

I even downloaded the new driver from toshiba website tcm0007400h and its still does not not with opengl.

I tried editing the registry and also disable powermizer as shown in this video

Anyone have the same problems with this laptop to win win 7, 8 or 10? Is it possible to downgrade to win 7, 8?

I think that I will never buy an another Toshiba laptop again. My friend warned me not to do, but I just wanted to try this brand. Very poor updates and support.

  • Only the C partition on the new Satellite C50-B-14Z

    Hello

I'm not an experienced user, but I'll do my best to explain the problem.

I bought Toshiba Satellite C50-B-14Z with 8.1 installed Windows, and when starting the system, I noticed that there is only one partition of hard drive, the C partition. When you enter the disk management, I see there are 4 basic partitions already (500 GB disk):

    -Recovery - 1 GB
    -EFI system - 100 MB
    -Recovery - 10.97 GB
-C (boot, page file, crash dump, primary partition) - 453,57 GB

They are all primary partitions, and I read on the forums that you can have only 4 those primary, so I can't add one more to the D partition, I would like to have.
Possibility that I offered in "actions" is to create a virtual hard drive, but I guess that is not the same thing.
I also read that you can create new partition if you have "unallocated" space (partition), but all 4 before indicated are those primary and not affected.

Then, the next opportunity that I read on is to do a right-click on C and "reduce volume", and then create new partition from the rest of the space (if I understand it is good), but then I read in Windows Help:
"When you shrink a partition, all regular files are automatically transferred to the disk to create the new unallocated space. There is no need to reformat the drive to shrink the partition. » ... "If the partition is a raw partition (that is, a lack of a file system) that contains data (for example, a database file)", reducing the partition may destroy the data. ""

Normally, I have never tested a large part with the C partition, and now I don't know if I would destroy some system files while doing this "shrinkage" and I don't have the CD installation for the system, so I can't fix it if I ruin something.

    Please advise...

Yes, this is the right way to have more than one partition. You can define what capacity should partition C and any free space can be "convert" to the D partition.

One last thing: don't forget to create a recovery (DVD or USB) media. It is very important to have recovery image back-up.

  • Satellite C50 - update Windows questions

    Hello

I bought a Satellite C50 windows 8 year last for my partner (who has the patience of a gnat and click on everything and nothing), when windows updates were installed on a month ago, she lost the office link, she kept flashing on and outside. She managed to access the Internet through internet Explorer tab (only for the bingo & ebay lol).

An other recent windows update took forever to load then a failure to configure changes return messages that froze the laptop.

Yesterday, I managed to return to the default value, all settings, after all personal preferences, I went to update the page to change the settings to apply updates before installing, and he said he had to be updated before choosing the updates!

I'm back there again and I was wondering if there was a specific update that is causing all this trouble. Although my bank balance is looking better, I'll throw this lappy in the bin and just buy another!

    Help, please. Thanks :)

    Hello

In general, I agree with the view of s IronMan.
The point is that you can always set the computer laptop initial configuration using the recovery procedure.

After this procedure the system windows will install updates from Microsoft.
This may take some time and the unit must be restarted several times during this procedure.

A system update will install before other updates have been installed.
Therefore, this process could take a little longer.

In addition, you will need to update to the latest system 8.1 Win the old Win 8.
This can be done after have installed all updates to Win 8.
The Win 8.1 update should be done as recommended by Toshiba.

The complete step by step instruction can be found here:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

You will be also informed about updates of Toshiba Toshiba service station preinstalled.
In this case, it will be very easy to get the latest version of the driver.

I hope this helps a little

  • A WI - FI connection does not work on Satellite C50-A-179

    Hi all!

I am owner of laptop Toshiba Satellite A-C50-179 (PSCGAE) with Windows 8, and recently I tried to install Connectify on it.

However, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter was missing on the laptop and given this Connectify couldn't work. I tried to activate/install somehow using advice found on the internet. The suggestion was to reinstall the driver for the wireless adapter.

    I uninstalled the driver original and reinstalled again after you download from Toshiba Web site ([here | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 312 & selProduct = 7934 & selSh ortMod = 3969 & language = 13 & selOS = 40 & selType = 97 & yearup load = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = al lMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = all & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = 97 & page = 1 & ID = 86778 & DISO = 40 & driverLanguage = 42])

I'm sure that I downloaded and installed the right driver for the right card that is "Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter". I made prior to installation to verify all the information on the adapter and the driver.

However, after the relocation wifi stopped working completely:

    -l' icon/network adapter wireless connection 'Control of the network connections and Internet\Network' is there but it does not behave as it should, it looks like a generic and not specific to a network connection icon - basically, it does not represent the actual adapter and got the name of it in the note;

    WiFi - option in Windows 8 settings menu-changes PC network settings has completely disappeared (bluetooth option is still there and so is the flight mode option);

-wifi can be turned on by pressing on activate in the menu of RIGH click that generic network connection I mentioned, but it will not pick up any signal and will find all the same connections so it is certainly.

There is no yellow exclamation point in Device Manager list and the wireless adapter is thus, to act and to pretend as if everything is fine and working properly.

I tried troubleshooting, installing the driver using Windows Update, the installation and update of its properties menu driver in Device Manager and all kinds of things like that, but none of this has helped and wifi still doesn't work.

Basically, the laptop seems to think that the adapter is not working properly and everything is fine HW and SW wise, but in reality it is not. I don't really know what I should try, I don't want to reinstall the entire operating system, because I'm afraid (or I) would mess everything up even more (wasting yet more pilots).

I'm running on a cable internet connection now, and I'm happy it's working (I really need the laptop for work and I can't afford to lose for a day, not to mention some more)

    Could someone help me please?
Any ideas how to solve this problem and make the wifi working again?
I will be really grateful for any advice.

    Thank you, Miko31.

Problem is that Toshiba does not support the third party software and if the problem occurred after installing Connectify you should contact support and ask for help. I mean they know how their software works and perhaps a workaround solution that can help you.

This software is not known to me, but I can imagine there are now a few conflicts. What should do? It is not easy to say. Try to remove the preinstalled software and clean the registry entries.

In the worst case, you must reinstall OS and reuse for laptop with factory settings.

  • Vodafone Huawei 3 G Dongle will not work on Satellite C50 and Win8

Recently bought this laptop running Windows 8.
No matter what I try, I can't do this USB 3 G Huawei Vodafone dongle to be recognized by this Toshiba laptop.

This dongle works in all our other laptops and laptops and tablets from other brands with Windows 7 or Windows 8 is certainly not something to do with the dongle the software, he moved, drivers or the operating system.

At a time where it is plugged into the port USB, he opens the window asking what we want to do, telling me that the port and USB controller works, but that's all that.

When you open the Vodafone software to connect to the 3G option Connect is grayed out and no device is indicated. In other words, it is not to recognize the modem for a reason any.

As he is OK anywhere else, it must be something to do with this Toshiba laptop.

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.
We have loaded other versions of the Vodafone software and it made no difference. It must be a hardware conflict problem.

It seems that the device does not recognize the USB dongle.
Did you test all USB ports?

As much as I know Satellite C50-A-xxx supports 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports
    Check all three ports.

You can also delete all the USB controllers and hubs in Device Manager and restart the laptop. After restarting again the unit should automatically recognize the USB ports.
Also try to disable the sleep & Charge USB in the BIOS (if available).

  • Satellite C50-B00N - Internet browsers do not correctly load graphics

    Hello

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite C50-B00N Intel Core i5 500 GB laptop with model o. PSCLUA-00N007 to web development and design purposes.

I was faced with poor graphic of loading in all browsers - Firefox, Chrome, Internet explorer. Some of the images and graphics on the Web site do not properly load, and they also seem to be really slow.

Appreciate your help to solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Hi Anu

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. You posted in the networking and internet category, so I have to ask if you're sure the problem described is in connection any with internet connectivity to 100%?
Did you do some basic tests like difference between WLAN and LAN or test of connection of your device to different networks?

For two months, I have Satellite S50 - B originally preinstalled with Win8.1 and it works perfectly. I use it at home and in my office.

Hello I wonder if you can help me. My son has a Toshiba Satellite laptop, C50 - B - 14 d 10 64-bit Windows. I am trying to run the plants vs Zombies 2 which he bought yesterday on the origin, but we get an error message "version of driver Intel 10.18.10.4276 17/08/2015-00:00:00." The recommended driver is xx.xx.154251 or later version "." I used the utility intel but it says that Toshiba have specific drivers so they can't install a new one. I have installed all updates of the Toshiba 10 driver, but it still does not work... I think that I need Intel Graphics Driver version 15.33.43.4425 but I can not install it unless I uninstall the graphics on Toshiba laptop, but I'm worried I'm going to ruin his laptop computer, any help? I'm at my end point now

I have a similar problem, when the RAM is low, external monitor is turned off and main monitor shows BSOD...

I added more ram, now I have 16 GB and it rarely happens (+ 3 GB swap file), also it is possible that the nvidia drivers were defective from November to March... It rarely happens, but it does not show BSOD...

It's the last time I bought the toshiba laptop... they don't care of clients with old computers, when I bought this PC he had windows 8, I've updated to Windows 10 last year and since then to win 10 came out there is no intel new drivers of toshiba, so I'm their manual update of the website .zip files for intel. Drivers are updated but functions of the control panel doesn't work, for example to display energy saving - I disabled in many places but my main monitor again changes the brightness when there is a darker image on the screen...

  • Replacing the screen on Satellite C50-A-1CK

    Hello

The screen of my C50-A-1CK Satellite was recently broke and I need a replacement, but I have no experience with this sort of thing. Editing actually screen won't be a problem (I'm lucky enough to have friends who will fit it free) but I need to buy one and I'm not sure which one to buy.

I'm looking for something around £40 or less if possible, and I'm in the United Kingdom, if a British salesman would be best. I would prefer to get one on eBay, if possible, so I would really appreciate if I could get a link rather than just "oh looking for it and you will find.

I thank very you much in advance!

To be honest, it is not easy to give you some good advice on this. Why? Replacing the screen is rather complicated and almost entire laptop must be disassembled. To do this you need manuals maintenance with explanation step by step how to do this and avoid any damage. This document is not a public document, so I do not know who want to help and how.

If a person without experience and expertise want to do this, can damage your laptop even more. There are many smallholders plastic that can be broken or damaged.

I don't know, but in my opinion, you should contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help. It costs a little, but it will happen on the vocational track.

Anyway, I don't live in the UK so I don't want to pick you up. You can check ebay UK and search for 15.6 HD 200 CSV LD and if you find a seller contact by phone and check compatibility with your laptop satellite.

  • Cannot find drivers for Satellite C50-A-1DV 8.1 Win

    Hello.

I reinstalled windows 8.1 from Disc I have, but I'm having driver problems, namely find some support pilot on the Toshiba site.

It seems that my phone is not listed, or I can't find it in the support section for drivers.

The drivers so that I am looking are the drivers of the motherboard.
I already tried a pilot site, but my laptop took a good few minutes to turn off after a stop so I doubt than those who were correct. I will try the software intel chipset device and see if it gives me good.

Rest of the drivers, I can get enough simple through the Manager of devices, but not the chipset drivers and probably usb 3.0 also.

On a side note, I noticed I don't need to type the key that I wrote using belarc, I guess that it is registered in the BIOS and windows auto detect it correctly?

    Hello

According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with Windows preinstalled 8.1 64 bit so what you need to do is to reinstall the original recovery image that contains all the necessary drivers.

When you say you have installed Win 8.1 from disk, does that mean exactly?
Did you install your own OS version or the original version of Win8.1 recovery disk created?

Anyway, al Win8.1 64-bit drivers, you can download at Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
There you can find all the drivers for your C50-A-1DV Satellite with PSCG6E part number.

    Check it out.
