C6100 not printing on network

All computers on the network can no longer print to my C6100. I have reset the connections and I can see the printer on the network. When I ping the server for the printer page, it shows that it works correctly. Is it possible that a recent windows update is the problem? I was able to scan to a computer in the printer (which is unusual, because the software is buggy) and it worked fine. This is the first time that reset the router, printer and computers does not solve this problem.

Well... I should get the big "DUH" out there...! Thanks for reporting the issue! What I can't understand, is why the IP address would not be updated if the box in the configuration/port tab to "always print to this device even if its address has changed. The printer does not receive its addresses dynamically from the router?

We have a new HP LaserJet Professional M1212nf MFP. I attributed to a static IP address, and he pulls up on its web interface. I loaded the printer for network printing on our Small Business Server 2003 and installed on several PC. No matter what we do, it will not accept a print job, even the test page. Nothing that he prints. I checked spools of printing, drivers, etc. Nothing seems out of place. Any suggestions?

I could never operate via the server print but is gone to every computer with the CD and installed via IP right and works fine now.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8100 does not print - wired network connection - Mac OS x 10.9

I have my 8100 Officejet Pro connected to my home network via a wired ethernet connection. I use Mac OS X 10.9. We had ongoing problems with the printer is accessible via the network. Whenever we have set up the connection, it works for a few print jobs, but whenever we close the printer, the next attempt to print always fails.

I just went through all steps to solve the problem. I went back to square one: reinstalled printer drivers on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS x 10.9; has passed through all stages of wired network connection. and now, every time I send a job to the printer, it fits like the receipt of employment and printing, but the printer itself does not.

The Billboard on the printer indicates it is connected to the network. Print the Network Setup page confirms it is connected to the cable network. Visit the IP address of the printer via my web browser also confirmed. I am able to print a printer HP Print Utility status report, so I don't know that the computer network and the printer are connected and communicate with each other. However, I can't print from MS Word, PDF files or anywhere else outside of the HP Print utility. Work is revealed in the queue, where it shows the status of each page completely 100%, employment disappears, but does never print it.

Help, please. This has been a problem since I bought the printer, and now that my warranty has expired, it's my last hope of fixing. I'm at the end of my tether with a device that I spent enough money on to expect to work, and it does not work properly literally since the day where it was purchased. All attempts to implement working temporarily, at best. Thanks in advance and if you need more information, please let me know.

    Hi DBG345

I understand that you are now able to print from USB, but not on the network.

There are a few things you can try.

Connect the printer to the router with the ethernet cable.

    Unplug the USB cable.

Get the IP address of the printer.

    Click on the Apple.
Click on System Preferences, click on the print icon and scanning, select the printer, click the sign - to remove the printer. Then click on the + sign, then select the printer from the list, select the printer name first, if it does not try the driver airprint, (airprint is apple pre-installed with functionality of basic pilot) click on the Add button.

You can try is to add the printer as a Protocol IP to see if it will work. Go to Apple, system, print, and scan preferences, click on + button, then select the icon of intellectual property across the top, type in the IP address of the printer, select direct stream below, then apply.

    Try to print.

I would like to sign up for updates from the HP driver. When available, you will be informed by e-mail.

    Hope that helps.

  • Windows 7 does not print on network printers

    Hello

I have a network with 3 Windows 7 Machines and 3 network printers, all have static IP addresses.  Printers are all different manufacturers...

I can't seem to print correctly to all printers of 2 machines, but having problems with the 3rd.

Used to work, it has stopped working recently.

Printers will install correctly and appear to be working, but then I get a yellow exclamation on printers.  When I try to print to the printer, the jobs go to the queue printing, and finally, I get a message in the queue - "printing error".  I do not receive a message printer offline."

I can successfully ping command on the ip addresses of printers, and appropriate answers.

The only way I am able to use these printers on this particular machine is if I connect to them by another machine of work (shared printers) is not a viable solution, as I then have the machine on that printers are shared from to be able to print.

I tried a lot of different things; creating a user profile, uninstall and reinstall the printers, unchecking SMTP in the advanced settings of the printers, deleted and then recreated ports, the system restore when printers were working properly, etc.

I have scanned for viruses, etc.

When I try to print to a specific printer, the software that is installed to manage the printer will also open as if work goes to print, but it never did and finally error.

I did a lot of research in the forums and tried almost all outside to reload the operating system.  It is a last resort...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

It is a coup in the water, but on the only other thing I can think of.

You can reset the print subsystem in its default state by running the following Microsoft Fixit routine--> http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9829711

I suggest you uninstall all software related to printers using the control panel > programs and features before running the Fixit.  Close all open applications before running the Fixit.

The Fixit allows uninstalling all printers and requires a reboot after the execution.  After the reboot, reinstall using freshly downloaded software from the website of the manufacturer of the printer.

Details of what the routine Fixit are described here--> http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2012/02/24/microsoft-fixit-for-printing.aspx?Redirected=true&PageIndex=1

The test print is generated and goes to the print queue, seems to be sent (briefly showing status 'printed') then removes printed reference (or lies to the mark with the status "deletion" - printed) the printer do not even wake up.  The same happens when I print via USB.

IM connected to a network at work and can see the printer that is on the network, but the printer prints nothing when I print the test page. Help!

    Hello

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft community!
I understand that you are facing the issue with printing on a network. Provide us the information to help you further.

    1. which antivirus software is installed on the computer?
    2. what happens when you try to print?
    3. you receive an error message?
    4. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?

To get the problem solved, try the troubleshooting steps:

    Method 1:
    Try the link troubleshooting steps:

    Network printer problems
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-network-printer-problems

The above article is for Windows Vista. It applies to Windows 7, too.

    Method 2:

Make sure print spooler service and the service of dependency for the print spooler service is set to automatic and started.

To start the print spooler service and set it to automatic, follow these steps.

    a. right-click on computer and select Manage

    b. in the console that opens, scroll down the menu Services and applications

    c. click Services

    d. double-click the print spooling key

    e. in the 'Général' tab, go to Startup Type

    f. set to automatic, manual or disabled

    g. to activate or deactivate the service immediately, print spooler click on stop or start

    h. click on apply, and then restart the computer.

    Method 3:
You can temporarily disable the antivirus and firewall on the computer and check with the question. Be sure to enable the antivirus and firewall on the computer.
You can see the following link to disable the firewall.
    Enable or disable Windows Firewall
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
NOTE: turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

    Disable the anti-virus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks

Just reply with the results. I'd be happy to help you further.

    Printer does not print.

    How can I fix?

    Hi @AnnisMonadjem,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print to your printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

When you say 'LAN', are you referring to the network or you try to share the printer on the network?

How is the printer connected? (Ethernet/WiFi)

If you have noticed that the port is causing problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

HP has several Officejet Pro 8600 series.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

    • Update the firmware of the printer.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

If the problem persists, download and run this patch rollup: resolving printing issues in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Try printing and scanning.

In addition, if you are still having problems try the steps in this guide, HP printers - "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 7).

Continue on, if the problem persists.

Important!   Delete the temporary files and folders by using the disk cleanup utility

  • P1102w - new router, the new network not printing

I had the 1102w all set up and running on my network printing from 4 different computers. This morning, I changed a combination of westell/Belkin modem/router for a new modem router from verizon. I created a new network with wpa2 security. I got all the computers in place but the printer does not print - printer dialog reported an error in printing (no error message, just with the special printer, an error has been reported). The blue light continues to blink. I thought that it was because the printer was trying to talk with the new modem but did not have the wpa key. It also meant that I could not go in the printer from one of the computers to change the wireless settings. I tried to install it on my Surface via the USB port, but then I didn't know what to do. I tried the reboot and reset everything. I even disabled the security on the network then it would not require a password. But still, the blue LED flashes quickly and then turns off. The configuration page shows all 0.0.0.0 for different addresses even theough the computer is always looking on the IP that the printer used to keep.

Help, please! How can I get the printer to reconnect to my network?

    Hello

To connect the printer to your new wireless router, you must use the interface for installing software as follows:

    1. Download and run the latest version of the software below. escape in the installation, and then close the configuration screen that is launched:
      http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-80329-8&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4132&product=4110396&sw_lang=
    2. Navigate to C:\LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution and run the HpSetup.exe file.
    3. Select easy install, then the Series HP Laserjet Professional P1100w.
    4. Select Configure to print over wireless network.
    5. Click next and follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: the installation invites you to temporarily connect a USB cable to put the settings back wireless to the printer, be sure to unplug the unit once configuration is complete and the installation invites you to do so.

Once configuration is complete, don't forget to restart the other PC and ensure that everything is running.

  • LaserJet P2055DN - do not print over the network

Configure the printer last night as a network printer (which replaces a former 2300dn LJ). It would not print a test page. To verify that the printer was good, I have loaded the drivers on my laptop and connected via usb.  Was able to print a page of test via USB.  Disconnected usb and reconnected power cable. Released and reset the ip address.  Verified the ip address in scathing of the host.   When I ping the printer I usually lose half of the packages.  There are two other HP printers on the network, a P2015dn and a color 2605dn LJ. Ping their IP back to 100% with a ttl = 255. Ping the p2055 produced 4 packets sent, 2 packets received, 2 lost packets, ttl = 64 2 returns.  I changed the printer cables and exchanged the network switch ports (verified the network switch ports by printing to the LJ 2605) with the same result. I can't get the internal web server to mount, or it partially displays or combinations of these.  If this was the old style removable print server as in my lj2300, I could swap out, but it's not like I can do with this model.  When I send a test page to the printer, it displays "printing", the green light on top flashes, the activity on the network card light flashes, but nothing happens. Finally, I get a «this document failed to print "notification on the host, but the printer still says 'printing' and the lights are still flashing.»  Anyone have any ideas?  I think I'm looking at a bad network/print the server maps in the P2055.

I also had problems printing over the network to the hp p2055dn. There was no problem via USB printing. All the network settings were ok. Can ping, etc...

Number of days of bickering, finally found that the Config.Security Network should be reset on the physical control of the printer Panel.

Press Ok on the Control Panel printer--> press down arrow, you get to Setup Menu Network Config--> press Ok--> a number of arrows down you get to Config network. Security--> press Ok--> you have two options - keep or reset--> choose Reset... Network printing should work fine.

  • MP560 on a Mac OS x networking with Windows 7, recognizes the network but does not print text

I have a Canon Pixma MP560 connected to a MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.5 which is wire connected to the network via a modem from Time Warner Arris TG862 to a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop computer and a desktop computer, Lenovo, which have two Windows 7. The printer is the USB cable connected to the MacBook and works very well. On the Mac in System Preferences > sharing, printer sharing is enabled, the MP560 put highlight and users > 'everyone can print. " and the system of preferences > printers, Scanners & "share this printer on the network" is selected. On the Lenovo and Dell, I installed Hello, and both can 'see' the MP560 and file > print on both, the printer is recognized and activated. BUT she shoots a white sheet; the text is not printed. Obviously there is something that I did not, any box I've unchecked. I'd appreciate any ideas! Thank you.

A few days after posting here, I asked this question on another Canon Website and learned that in similar circumstances to mine described here, Canon recommends that the MP560 "be connected to your Windows computer then shared to your Macintosh', rather than, as in my case, saw the MP560 connected to the Mac and then sharing with Windows computers.
