C6380 is taken offline at random intervals

Just got my C6380 all-in-one works via wi - fi on my Linksys WRT54G Router networks and all seemed well until I noticed that sometimes when loading of the HP Solution Center, it does not find the printer.

Thinking that this may be up to flaky wi - fi, I changed to an Ethernet cable and turned off the radio, but I always get the same. Also, I disabled the power saving option just in case where it is displayed in offline mode when "sleep". Still no change. Made sure my Comodo Firewall allows all port numbers suggested by the hp.com support troubleshooting pages, but still it comes and goes. The power of recycling toured, but is not very convenient when using it from another floor. Accessing the Windows XP page printers & Fax, she also shows offline and then comes back ready for no apparent reason, after some time.

I noticed that the HP support site recommend light in order to "router then printer then pc", but my smart power strip gives me no control over this - it is always the PC first and then the rest at once. Is how important it?

Any ideas to fix this annoying little problem? I thought maybe to fix the IP instead of DHCP, but I would like to cling to glitter!

The next time that the application of the status bar indicates "no HP devices have been detected", try to open the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address.

If it works, then the basic connectivity works, and in this case we must look at the SW on the PC for the problem.

There is another question - sometimes the service that monitors the connection to printer stops.  I have a tool that I can send it to you to restart the service (send me an email to wireless at hp dot com).

  • HP C309a all-in-One go offline at random

    Hello

    A user I support reported intermittent but frequent problems with this printer it will 'offline' at random.

    The scenario is: Vista 64 - bit laptop communicates wirelessly with a WRT54G Router.  Connunicates C309a ALSO with the WRT54G wireless.  The protocol used is WEP.  Assign an IP address to the laptop and C309a is currently via DHCP from the router.  The laptop has the latest HP software installed.

    (BTW, your desktop Mac communicates wirelessly with this Bluetooth C309a and never no problem, but do not know if have bluetooth activated on the C309a for Mac at the same time having IP enabled for the WRT54G wireless may be causing problems.)

    I studied dozens and dozens of messages through many forums on this problem and many solutions are available, but often the wire is hijacked and goes off-topic, or the original poster responds never return whether or not the presented solution effectively resolved the problem.  I haven't met a single thread that seems to nail down this problem resolutely.

    However, what makes the most sense to me, and that most of the notice seems to be centered around, assign a static IP address to the C309a because it loses an address assigned by DHCP as the C309a will "sleep".  I know how to proceed with a WRT54G - since the WRT54G doesn't the ability of static IP address reservation, you assign a fixed IP address on the C309a itself, outside the range of the server DHCP WRT54G assignment.

    But before that, I have a few questions.  I need to understand what is happening when the 309 a goes to sleep:

    (1) the router down the IP of his table?

    (2) when the user submits something to print and the C309a is in sleep mode, what sequence of events occur to wake him up?

    (3) if it DHCP assign a new address because of sleep, why wouldn't he just assign the IP address as last time?  It is a very small network with few devices, and they are always on - not like you have all these devices on and off the network.

    Other discussions focused on firewall issues, but I don't see how this could be the cause this behavior 'offline' intermittent.  With a firewall, if I'm wrong, you don't get intermittent behavior like that - be communicates or is not until you have opened the necessary ports.

    If there is anything else that comes to mind that I should check, please let me know.

    Thanks for any help on this.

    I have the same problem, or so I thought until I discovered that it is only with my Windows 7 PC, my other PC is a HP Netbook XP/Ubuntu and Windows XP. It seems that the version of the 140.0.14.18 HP Solution Center has reported that he could not communicate with the printer C309a on the PC Windows 7 However simultaneously of the XP PC no problems. After a multitude of reinstalling the HP utility I would still lose connection after a day or two.

    My c309a is connected to my unique and accessible via Bluetooth wireless local area network so that we can print directly from our cell phones.

    The solution was very simple, taking the printer off kept the connected Windows 7 PC energy-saving mode. I hope that HP will fix this annoyance bit.

  • HP dv6t-7000: Internet goes at random intervals, freezing applications. A lot of info!

    OK, so my laptop has been to his last breath for awhile now, always something. Recently, the fan stopped working so I have to diligently make sure that it is not overheating. I was playing a video game online 2 days ago, when it has overheated and crashed (forced engine shutdown out of State to avoid damage, not a blue screen). When I brought it up, I started having some really bad problems. The game that I was playing would not start citing "Memory at the address 063eaff0 could not be written" after the removal of the entire game and the computer restarts, I have re-installed, it works very well now, which is solved, I guess.

    I think that this crash broke something, because now my internet keeps cutting out at random intervals, and Chrome keeps freezing. Freezes it chrome in fact almost always predict a decline in the internet.

    So I started in the diagnosis of HP system and run a memory test, he says as I went. A ran a full scan, spent hard drive, processor spent, spent of WLAN, pass, pass battery PCI devices. Basically, everything but I can not actually complete a full sweep because it lasts 2 hours and is apparently really using my system to its maximum capacity, which makes critical overheat and shut down.

    So I started on a recovery CD to see if maybe a file system has been damaged in an accident of power loss, but apparently I'm wrong remember how work of recovery CD and my only options are restore factory default or restore to an earlier point, is not at all re - install all necessary system files.

    Next step is to wait for one of outages and run the tool to "Solve problems" to the windows network, he did his thing and actually, miraculously, gave me some sort of other problem "check that you are connected to the internet." What he told me was: ' your computer attempts to use a DNS server that is incorrect or does not exist. "

    My Chrome no connection error code is 'DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET '.

    Please do not read this last line and tell me to change my DNS server with no other explanation. There are other computers in the House, and they are connected to the same wifi and are zero problems. Also DNS problems do not explain my chrome actually freeze. In addition, we use the google DNS servers.

    Attached is a rar with all diagnostic tests, on that I could get my hands and here is a list of materials as well.

  • Why my games rolled up to the taskbar at random intervals?

    So my problem is this: I'm playing a game, and with no sign windows puts up the taskbar in random intervals. (It's really annoying). The operating system does not drop an error or warning. I used Windows 7 RC 64-bit since almost 3-4 months and so far I had no problems with it. My friend use it too just the 32-bit version with no problems like that. Any suggestions?

    That could happen if there is no substantive service which is interrupted. Cleanboot arrival:

  • How to have the symbols to play at random intervals?

    Hi all

    I tried to create an a 'whack' game in edge Mole animate and I was wondering if there was a way to have the "hamsters" pop up at random intervals?

    So far, my script looks like:

    sym.setVariable ("score", 0);

    var score = sym.getVariable ("score");

    SYM.$("score").html (score);

    {sym.getSymbol("Hole_1").$("Hamster").click (function ()}

    var score = sym.getVariable ("score");

    sym.setVariable ("score", notes + 5);

    SYM. $("score") .html (score + 5);

    sym.getSymbol("Hole_1").play ("cured");

    });

    As I have a symbol called hole which has a hamster that pop ups, when you click the hamster, he plays the "healed" animation and adds 5 points to the score.

    Thank you!

    Here's how I'd show a different interval.

    function doSomething() {}

    var num = Math.floor ((Math.random () * 300));

    var num2 = Math.floor ((Math.random () * 200));

    .CSS ({$("Symbol_1") sym.

    "the left": num,.

    'top': num2

    });

    }

    (function loop() {}

    RAND var = Math.round (Math.random () * (300)) + 500;

    {setTimeout (function ()}

    doSomething();

    Loop();

    (}, rand);

    }());

  • Annex WAG160N has v2 ADSL2 + Wireless Modem Router disconnecting at random intervals

    The problem is that my WAG160N router v2 isolates at irregular intervals for no clear, obvious and clear reason. The router always reconnects to the Internet automatically, but we want to have stable internet connection so it does not interfere with our download and my game online. Sometimes, it will be disonnect once a day, two days, three days or more times a day.

    This problem occurred for about nine months and we have tried to solve this problem for four months without success and very little progress.

    There are nine devices connected to this router:

    Desktop Mac (connected by an Ethernet cable)

    MacBook Pro my mother (wireless)

    My mother of Windows (wireless) laptop

    My Iphone (wireless)

    My mom (wireless) iPhone

    Our Ipad (wireless)

    Our printer (wireless)

    My Xbox 360 (connected by an ethernet cable)

    My PS3 (connected by an ethernet cable)

    First of all, I contacted our ISP. They conducted tests on our phone line and there was no obvious abnormalities. They then made some adjustmenets to our connection, but none of the improvements to our stability of connection, either. I also did the isolation test which did not help. Then they came to the conclusion that this router is the source of the problem.

    Then I noticed that when my Internet was disconnected we had active DHCP and it kept more than one of our devices, assigning the same IP address. On my desk he showed me an IP address conflict message whenever we have disconnected from the Internet. So I disabled the DHCP and manually assigned each device to their own individual IP addresses static. This has not fixed my problem even if there are more conflicts of IP addresses.

    Then I tried to connect my computer directly to the WAG160N v2 via an ethernet cable, but each single device is always give themselves up randomly. Therefore, we have established that this problem occurs with the cable connections and wireless.

    After that, I did some research on the Internet and made a lot of adjustments and modifications that do not stop this problem.

    These including: lower the MTU to 1365, changing to channel wireless channels 1 and 6 (we were on channel 11), using a standard instead of a wide channel, lowering the keep alive - redial period from 30 seconds to 20 seconds, increasing the Redial period keep living to a maximum of 180 seconds, disable UPnP and disable the DHCP server on the router configuration page.

    I have same Access Restriction is turned off.

    I also checked with my ISP and we use the correct settings of Encapsualtion, multiplexing and Virtual Circuit.

    So I thought I would post here because we really need to have this fixed a problem and we do not know how. I can't find the logic of why this is happening. This problem shouldn't be complicated.

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    My Internet has not disconnected for a week.

    Without reset and reconfigure my router, I did the following in the advanced wireless settings page:

    Reduced from 100 to 75 beacon interval

    Lowering of the threshold of Fragmentation of 2346 to 2306

    Lowering of the 2346 to 2304 RTS threshold

    I found this info from a different thread.

    I'll post again less than a week and if my Internet connection is always stable, I will mark this message as my solution.

  • Satellite Pro P100-188: screen keeps blinking on and off at random intervals tension

    If anyone can help me with my computer so please PLEASE publish it because I have no idea of what is happening to her.

    I just bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 - 188 Dual Core and I'm having a problem with it. Sometimes (not all the time) if the computer is plugged in or not, the screen flashes and repeatedly and then will slow down and its suspicious home.

    I have no idea what's wrong with it, I sent it to the store where I bought to be fixed and they just he sent to me, but the problem persisted. They say they have done tests on the machine and can't find anything wrong with it, but if that were the case, then it only would not have messed up again.

    What is just a software problem? The screen seems to flicker on and off at intervals irregular or not I'm in the middle of using it or not. All the drivers are the latest drivers and I admit now that I'm at my wits end.
    Any thoughts, anyone?

    Hello

    This seems very odd. However, you posted that this problem happens sometimes and not all the time.
    In my opinion I n t think that the software could be responsible for this issue.
    Perhaps one loses the connection cable? But believe me; It's not easy to say what's wrong without diagnostic tests.
    You have suggested that you have sent the unit to the store.

    I recommend you contact Toshiba service partner in your country. Technicians must check the laptop.

  • Google mail is taken offline and will not return.  How to remedy this?

    I have a new MacAir.  I recently updated to the account of Google browser to use as the source for my gmail account.  Since its acquisition last week, he regularly went offline for recovery of emails but reappeared after several minutes (and through procedures online reactive which, so far, have worked) and I can't understand how to bring it back online.  The gmail account and emails are accessible via the web using the gmail account and password that worked in the past, but everything I've tried has failed to download in the Mac Air has not worked since.  Gmail downloads work on all other products Apple, including Mac, iPhone and iPad.  Only the new MacAir is causing problems.

    Messaging uses two servers, a sending server and a receiving server. When you initially configure Apple mail, he pretended that they are the same and tries to use the same credentials for both.

    Sometimes, the problem is only to the sender, or only in the receiver.

    Mail > window > connection doctor...

    ... will show you the status of each independently, so that you can go right tot the source of the problem and fix it by clicking on the red light, as appropriate.

    If you pick up mail on multiple devices (you mentioned an iPhone and iPad) you will want to choose Protocol IMAP rather than pop.

  • Queues not taken offline support OS6 - why?

    I had planned on the use of queuing offline, but discovered that it is no longer supported in OS6.  Does anyone know if offline queues will build again?

    Hello

    Without this functionlity is not supported yet again, from what I've heard.

    The browser moved to Webkit and Blackberry within a company to create the new browser, so the old one went out of the window.

    You might try to write your own system to queue offline using HTML5 and webworks.

    See you soon

  • HP C410 is taken offline

    Recently, I installed my C410 on my home network to be shared between the 3 computers.

    Everything works fine except the C410 decides to enter what seems to be the mode 'sleep' and appears then as 'offline' on all computers on network tries to print to it.  If I hit the button 'ok' on the Panel configuration he wakes up and everything starts printing but that defeats the purpose of having a network printer!

    I put the mode preference "Energy savings" to "Off".  The default value is 15 minutes - although it seems itself stops after 15 minutes of use.

    I use a direct connection (not wireless).  I have the two Win7 64 bit and WinVista 32 bit OS is trying to print.

    When I try to print after a while the error msg will appear as "printer is off-line.

    What gives?

    Send a print job to the printer from the computer should wake up.  If the router does not allow this information to be sent to the printer, it wake up.

    I have seen this happen repeatedly substituting an older router with a newer version where to solve this type of problem.

  • make a video to play at random intervals

    So I have a web page, I've done that a few simple effects scaling of a bunch of tags has created animated along. The a tags lead to different parts of the site but its not quite obvious you can click on them. So, I did a clip of a simple circle that grows and disappears over time, like a radar ping. My quesiton is, is it possible that I can have this clip play directly below the tag has to bring more attention to them, but they play at random and randomly decides which play under?

    Hi, mhartington-

    Altogether.  You can do a blink a symbol with a very long time, and then you can do the following:

    • At the end of the chronology of the symbol, create a trigger or event Timeline.complete
    • In this action, you can select the next location and mounting location using randomization functions written in JavaScript
    • Using this information, you can access a certain place in the timeline using sym.play(1000) (rental) and move the symbol instance using the jQuery handle (sym.getSymbolInstance () .css ("left", URL))

    I hope that points you in the right direction!

  • At random intervals, sometimes twice a day, sometimes twice a week, I get a popup when searching mail saying my certificate is out of date. What is going on?

    I'm currently not a screenshot of the "popup" that says 1) my 'certificate' is obsolete and 2) click on 'ok' to make a permanent exception. There is a warning on the popup that is unusual. It happens both when I check mail or try to send it. BUT it does not happen all the time. I was not able to detect a pattern to his accident. I have multiple accounts on my Thunderbird, with different ISPS and I think that's happening for them all.

    As you can see in your second accessory, the cert for your server POP of Gmail was published by Bitdefender. It is not the original cert of Google.
    Thunderbird does not know about the certificates issued by Bitdefender and therefore give you the warning. It is unfortunate that most people don't seem to have any idea what certificates are all about.
    At the end of the day, this means that BitDefender is intercepting your connection to the Google server. They can see your Google password and your plaintext authentication token. It is not something I want.
    Your options are:

    1. accept that Bitdefender is interceptung your secure connection and install the cert of Bitdefender in Thunderbird as a certification authority
    2. ban of Bitdefender to analyze messages inbound and outbound on SSL/TLS, secure connections

    For more details contact the Bitdefender support.
