Cable distance

Hello
I hope someone can help me. I'm deploying an AP with a maximum range of > 100 m switch. The question is can I pull a cable 100 m switch to the power injector and another 100 m to the AP power injector?

switch pwrinj3---(100m cable)---(100m cable) - AP

I hope I really explain this clearly. Thanks for the help in advance.

Yes, you can

I use this Setup. About 150 m the distance and it works without a problem

  • Determine the side "reception" of the SFP optics

    Hello.

I have an upcoming implementation of dark fibre which requires me to run ZX SFP (cable distance of more than 10 k), but I need an attenuator in the side reception of the FPS at each end.

How I think we're the receiver?

With SFP 1350nm, it is not 'light' to see the exit and the number which is the transmitter, as it is on 850nm SFP - so, how do I do to the longer wavelength, those?

I've been unable to find a representation of the disgrametic of a CWDM SFP that indicates a specific - is it reasonable to assume a SFP WDM standard, is not the same thing?

Or should I connect with the attenuator on the one hand, check the input power, and then plug it into the other side and see if it makes a diference?

    Thank you.

  • Extension cable VGA resolution problems

Pavilion 6507c with a monitor HP 2010, Windows 7 64 bit.  I'm trying to separate the CPU and the monitor by a few feet more that allows the original VGA cable 6 '.  Have tried a more original extension and also one long cable. With something else that the short original cable, the computer no longer recognizes the monitor - it shows as generic non - PnP and will not 1600:900, so the image is stretched. Re-installed 2010 drivers - happens always generic.

Is it possible to extend the monitor distance without sacrificing the correct resolution?

I wouldn't be too concerned getting message no signal when the PC is shut down down.  With a longer cable, the signal can degrade more quickly causing the no signal message during the shutdown process.

Displays work by the monitor by sending EDID for the PC and this information is part of how the PC identifies what resolutions are available for this monitor.  The original cable allows this information to be sent from the monitor to the PC.  The PC then keeps this information which is what allows to operate with the longer cable after swap cable VGA 6' for a longer or extended.  Once the system is shut down, the EDID information is lost.  That is why it does not work once the system is stopped and started with a prolonged or long cable.

You mentioned a significant difference between cables: the absence of a ferrite core.  This entry from Wikipedia explains ferrites (aka: ferrite core) and what use they have.  Essentially, it reduces the level of interference which could cause the loss before reaching the PC of the EDID information.  This is more noticeable when you use a long cable, so this could be due to the lack of nucleus of ferrite.  However, the adapter indicated in my previous post should correct the problem of resolution (However, it would still be listed as a generic PnP monitor).

I would weigh the cost of a cable with core of ferrite against the cost of obtaining an EDID emulator and select the cheapest option.  I know an EDID emulator will rectify this issue, but I can't say that making a cable with ferrite core will fix this problem with 100% certainty.  I do not know have a ferrite core may cause problems of signal quality.  If you can still exchange the cables, then that may be the least expensive option.

    Let me know what happens.

The cable connecting the 7520 printer and the HP Pavilion computer may be about ten feet and must he USB and USB 2 or 3 connectors or shorter cables can be connected with a male/female adapter?

10 to 15 feet is about the maximum distance should be a USB cable. USB 2 is fine for most printers. I advise to use only one cable... If you can, avoid the "extensions".

Welcome to the community of Sony.

Wireless keyboards are not compatible with the TV.

  • Instrument, equipped with a cable series to chart

Hello! I try to get a 200-100 AR laser data. I tried to use the analog inputs, and connect it to a MyDAQ. It worked, but there is a lot of noise. Then I tried to connect the laser with a serial cable. See the attachment file. I am able to read data from a chart without noise. The question that the values are quite large compared to when I was with the analog inputs. With analog when the laser was 5 cm distance an object, then it would show about 5 volts on the chart. With serial number, it shows 20.00. I could convert the data by using numeric values, but it doesn't seem fair when the data is not even showing decimals.

    (1) let me correct this link for you: http://www.disensors.com/downloads/products/AP600%20Laser%20user%20manual_1094.pdf

    (2) as you get only 1 measure at a time, just use the Fract/Exp function to string number to get your value.  There is an entry on top for 'use decimal system '.  You want to wire a constant FALSE to that since you're apparently using the comma as the decimal point instead of the period who made the instrument.

  • Envy 17 t-j100: HP Envy 17 t-j100 Distance between Slots USB suggestion

I designed this post as a recommendation for HP.

I have a HP Touchsmart Envy 17 t-j100 and everything is great so far.

The only thing that is really annoying is the distance between the USB ports. PLEASE increase the distance between the USB ports for future models. I have a lot of problems tryng to connect everything I need.

Even if I try to open the DVD player, it will get stuck in my USB device. I mean how hard is to put a distance of 1 cm between them?

If the USB cables are standard size, there is no problem, but most of USB devices are now much wider than a standard USB cable and I continue to have problems.

I mean it's a laptop 17 ", there is plenty of space on the sides. In the end, it is best to drop the DVD player and put a VGA connector instead, but with the largest distance between the USB ports.

I plan to buy another DESIRE in the future, but I really want my new laptop have USB ports with a wider bewtween to distance them.

Thank you very much and I hope that HP will take care of this little problem on future models.

    Good day.

  • Posible cable connection between Garage and House

I tried to send a wireless signal to my hoes to broadband from my garage office.  The distance is about 150 feet.  The two structures are wood frame.  I tried to use a House directional antenna of bi-quad drawings he wishes actually degraded my performance of what I was getting into with the WTR5GS with the Linksys access point optional extension of localizer antennas Omni-directional 7dbi installed.

Today, I noticed that Linksys offers a solution (Kit of adapter Powerline PKL200) that uses the wiring in the House.  My garage receives its electrical service to a circuit a 230v 60 connected to the main house for the subgroup of experts garage distribution table.  In the secondary Panel, electricity is distributed to several 115v and 230v 1 circuit in the garage, including the Office of my garage.

Will be PLK200 Powerline adapters work by connecting my Modem Access Linksys WTR54GS Hughsnet point in the garage and then between an access point port ethernet cable (1 of 4) at the PLK200 to a plugin on one of the circuits garage 115v and distribute the ethernet connection via the garage subgroup of experts to the Panel main serice main house and on a 115 v circuit and plug in my house where I would put up another access Linksys WRT54GS point for wireless services in the House?

I know this at length, but I tried my best to refer to the electric diagram and plan.

    Thanks for reading.

No problem, it will work certainly... but you need to configure your second router...

  • Cable vs. Ethernet SFP switch

    1. you don't need a cable crossed to these switches. They are auto-detection. They recognize automatically to which port to connect.

    2. the benefit of a fibre on a wired ethernet are usually greater reliability (no interference with other electro magnetic fields) and the possibility to connect larger distances. If you need this or not depends on your needs.

  • HP DesignJet 1000 series, a bad cable rear transport stop in the same place every time?

Hello. On a series of 1000 HP DesignJet 1050c more think that FW A.52.02, a bad cable rear transport stop in the same place every time?  It stops just to the right of each start, attached photo Center.  Do not know if it is directed to the left or right at the time; I asked the customer, but it has not yet responded.  It is hundreds of miles away with customer.  I was not there; I try to get a very good idea of what everything I need and that you need to do before I travel such a distance.

It gets the error "check printhead path type (2).  Customer said that began as he tried to pass to 24 "paper roll of I think 36" roll of paper.  Maybe this is related to the different movements to transport would be to manage different width, but there will be an underlying problem.  (Well, I guess it does now any width.)  I read that if transport stops in the same place every time when you start, it's probably one of the following:

    1 necessary transport height adjustment.

2 tubes of rub excessively in the channel of tubes.

    3. bad transport (Mouasher Sa'ad says that the bad capacitors once a trolley stop at the same place;) Guess it could be a bad encoder sensor but think the transport would simply jump a quarter inch or so if the case.)

Well, guess it might be something to the top with the belt too, so:

    4. bad belt (once I had 1 too short and kept cause type 2 error - stop inches couple out right every time)

I cleaned and lubricated all - channel rods and tubes of cursor. It worked fine for 5 months.

Here, I simply want to exclude ideally that a bad end cable would cause traffic to stop at the same place every time.

    Thanks for any input.

    Paul

Usually, a bad end cable will not cause you have. It could be one of the items you listed, but could also be the encoder being dirty in this place. Most of the time it's the belt as a defect in a bad belt could stop at the same place. If the sheath is a problem most of the time it stops at the opening of the left side. Also, if the tubes most of the time you can fix a bunch of heavy clear packing on the rim tape, tubes rub against and which solves the problem.

  • Model SFP + cable for PC5524.

I wonder what Dell cables for the connection between two PC 5524.  I intend to link between the distance of 2 racks about 10 m.

    Thank you

    Samuel S.

I don't see any cable direct attach listed more than 7 m. Based on the price, the next option would be to buy SFP + SR transceivers.

    http://Dell.to/1iX326l

This transceiver supports the OM1, OM2, OM3 and OM4 cables.

    400 meters on OM4 fiber

300 meters on OM3 fiber (in other words, use aqua "OM3 LC/LC fiber cable")

82 metres on fibre OM2 (orange fiber)

    33 metres on fibre OM1

You can use one of these cables:

  • distance of 10 GB SFP - 10 G - LRM

We have an access switch 3750 x connect to our database in double-single mode fiber links.

The distance according to our electrician is 528,65 m and he said that our SFP can operate up to 300 m

We use 2 x 10 GB SFP - 10 G - LRM SFP as a link works and a link is having issues.

the message on our heart is LinkFlap and keep flapping up and down for the second link not working

    Peter,

When you use other fibers that the type as the transceiver is deigned to work more, your results may vary widely. The single mode fiber physical cores cannot match perfectly or even well in light of the LED and VCSEL transceiver. Which can cause a significant loss and no established link (or a very "delicate" link which tends to lose the signal of very small disturbances like someone or a piece of equipment, even touch the rider of fiber).

As we see your output, the non-working link is to see a Rx-34 dBm to access optical power to pass despite a strong signal sent by the transmitter/receiver of base Nexus.

Pouvez be able to establish the connection through the cable connection and cleaning and the relocation of their

However, your bet would be using the type of (more expensive) transceivers which are designed for single-mode fiber. In your case, that would be the SFP - 10 G-LR-S.

  • 2 meter 10GB cable - cooper or optical?

I need to connect to the server FPS + with switch Cisco SFP +. They are very close between them, so I need just 2 metres of cable. I can do this with two cables:

    or the other

Assembly of optical cable Active SFP - 10 G-AOC2M of Cisco

    or

Together cable Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU2M Twinax cable, passive, 30AWG

What are the advantages and disadvantages of these cables? What is the best?

I use the server for commerce, so it is important for me to have the best possible latency and speed.

    They are functionally equivalent.

Optical, in general, has more resistance against RF interference, but at a distance of 2 m cases that shouldn't be a problem in all but the most extreme environments of use.

The copper version price is a little less than half the cost of optics.

Make sure that your server switch are compatible with part of your choice. Here is a link to the compatibility of switching matrix.
