  • HP Solution Center is no longer installed for OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909

    Hi all

I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909 running on a PC with Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

I can't pinpont when the problem started, but I think it's after a Windows Update.

For some reason any printer stopped working all together. I downloaded the drivers for the device (OJP8500vA909_Basic_14) and installed them. The printer works now, but the HP Solution Center is no longer on my computer.

The installation disc for the printer will not work. He said that "the operating system on this computer is not supported. The installation cannot continue until this is resolved. "I guess it's because the computer is much newer than the printer, but I'm not sure.

Can someone help me install the HP solution on my computer center?

    Thank you!

    Hello!

You can download the software from our Web site. The software that contains the center of solution would be the full feature software and driver.

Uninstall the base driver that you have installed and install the drivers you want to download.

    Thank you.

I am installing an Officejet Pro 8500 has more on a network that contains just a Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) computer and a bunch of zero clients.  I read the document "installation of the software of the printer on Windows Server 2003 or 2008" including the updated title hope in my heart.  Unfortunately when I followed the instructions to install from a. MSI file, I get an error message saying "this computer's operating system is not supported", as can be seen in

I am able to print to this device I have widower of drivers from Microsoft Update, but I want to be able to scan with it.

I solved this problem by installing the complete package on a Vista laptop then set up a network folder on the server for the scanned images.  I then unplugged the laptop from the LAN and now I can scan using the front panel of the printer/scanner and images appear on the shared folder of Server 2008.

Since the installation of 10 windows, windows drivers 8 that makes the printer function, seem outdated or deleted?

There must be an easy way out of it, but I did not succeed to find.

    Hi @Alaskis1,

I can help you get the full functionality of the software and the driver for your Officejet Pro 8500. You can use either software package provided on the page of the HP driver or the printer Installation Wizard.

You can download and install from here: file name: OJ8500_A910_1315 - 1.exe, or as stated, you can download and run the HP printer install wizard for Windows

The HP printer for window installation wizard was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, and users Windows 8.1 download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you want additional help. Thank you!

  • Want to b/w standard printing only - HP Officejet Pro 8500 Plus.

    Only - want b & w HP Officejet Pro 8500 more.

I wonder how to enable this machine to use the black and white ALWAYS mm cartridge.

I heard that the printer can use color cartridges even if I print in black only. I want to save color to photo print cartridges only.

How can I ensure this? I can't find all the settings in the printer display saying "use black and white printing.

And if there is a setting somewere therefor; which "desides" setting - if I have after setting b/w printing standard, chosen color in print for a photo windows? I need never color printing except if I print a photo.

I also wonder if there is a way around the situation when a color is empty, and print black and white ends...! ?

    Help appreciated!

    You ask the most difficult

It depends on what you are printing. I don't think that any printer uses much (if any) color with shades of gray.

However, if tell you him to use black and white only (generally an option after clicking on the checkbox in grayscale), it will not print anything but black. The bad thing about this is that sometimes you can lose part of what you print if there are photos or font color in what you want to print. Anything that is not considered by the application as a true black could not appear in print.

It could work well, if you're careful, but you may sometimes have something missing in the printout.

  • Redirect print jobs queued for Deskjet 2560 for Officejet Pro 8500 a - how?

Have requests for printing in the print queue of the printer for my temporary HP Deskjet 2560 printer, purchased for interstate use 6 weeks. I am now at home and in print with my Officejet Pro 8500. Should what steps I take? Operating system: Win7 Home Prem SP1. Hardware: Computer laptop Toshiba Satellite T850. Links: laptop wireless-> ADSL router. ADSL router-> printer.

    Thank you.

What is the Deskjet D2560?  If so you can do the following: click on start, devices and printers, do a right click on your Officejet 8500 a, Printer Ports and properties by using the note which port your Officejet 8500, cancel.  Right-click on the D2500, select "See what's printing", when the window opens click on the printer, then 'Use printer offline' is checked.  Then, do a right-click on the D2500, the properties of the printer, the Ports and the same port that you have found for the Officejet, apply the value of the port.  Then, return to the window 'See what's printing' and uncheck the box 'use printer offline' and if 'Print Pause' line is checked uncheck it as well.

I installed the driver from the D2500 series on my system and checked that it is compatible with the Officejet 8500 a.

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 PLUS - STRIPED VERTICAL PICTURE PRINTABLE

I have this great new brand HP PRO 8500 MORE machines - have figured out all that day - except these vertical color stripes in photo printing.

Windows 7 update. Standard print settings: 'Use Black only' in print to save color ink settings.

    I did:

    -----------------------

Printed a picture of windows - 10 x 15 cm on HP PHOTO PAPER GLOSSY - Q1991A product.

Result: Great picture but a few vertical colored stripes.

Printed another image of the USB - to use passport photo - has used the display option for this in the machine for this purpose.

Result: Image with colored stripes - as the first result.

I cleaned the heads with the HP Wizard twice and used the function of alignment of line several times. The result is almost worse.

The tool "Print quality" was conducted on paper, not brilliant.

That said, it is that the problem can not have something to do with windows, the driver settings since the result is the same when you print from USB. Neither paper printing since the problem shows on the staff.

I'm I right? It of an unanswerable question with this printer, or should I launch an application where I bought it?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 Plus paper tray transport position

    Hello

I turn my HP Officejet 8500 Pro Plus to another location by using the original shipping box.

Now it is not in its original box, because the tray is out about 1 inch.

It seems that the tray has slipped outside the printer during installation and somehow clicked into its final position.

Does anyone know how to move this ferry to return to its original position of transport?

    Thnx for your reply.

However, this has not solved the problem how to get the printer in its original box...

Today, I decided to go to the seller, Staples Office Centre, to get advice.

The solution was simple, but unexpected: place the printer in the box on HIS BACK...

I hope that someone has the same problem will be happy with this solution.

    Trying to recover from a crash of Windows XP and partly successful... I'm back to SP2;

all my programs and data appear to be recovered during the recovery

When I tried using the solution Center HP that work very well for scanning.

It would not come...  I reinstalled Solution Center from my HP CD and now

When I click on Solution Center a square screen comes up with the Solution

Topic Center at the top, but it's just grey background - no text, etc.

I thought that this could be a Flash problem (why HP has used this dog?) so I uninstalled

Adobe Flash and reinstalled 'latest' version of Firefox Flash via Adobe...

    computer restarts

Same result... when I click on Solution Center, I get the same gray box

    How to fix?

    Hello

Install the latest version of Adobe Flash by using the Internet Explorer browser:

The HP software is based on Flash Player on your operating system, such an installation of Firefox Add an extension of browser for firefox itself and not for the operating system.

  • Complete software for Officejet Pro 8500 A909a

I did a factory reset on a Windows 7 machine (64-bit), something I've done on this machine several times before.  In the past I didn't much trouble to get the object printer drivers and the software loaded.  This period was very difficult... in fact impossible at this stage.  I try to get the full software loaded, I think it's called the HP Solution Center, which places an icon on my desktop and I get many more features for the printer.

I tried to download the wizard and it seems that he will do the trick, but then stops with an error:

    Your download has been cancelled

You can try to download it again by clicking Retry.

    It won't load.

In the past, I downloaded a file and it worked sucessefully (although I seem to remember that, as the years pass, getting the printer and software will takes more effort).  The file that worked in the past is:

    OJP8500vA909_Full_14.exe

I can't find on the internet to download again.  Any suggestions?

I have download saved the last time that I needed him... Although it is just a folder with several subfolders and files.  I have no idea now had to find the .exe to run... so, so far, this folder and is useless for me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Please do not use Wizard, use the normal web browser to download the following file:

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

The only thing to do would be to format and reinstall the OS.  It's a little extreme, but it should work.  I'm sorry, but that's the last thing I know to try.  If you try this, make sure that you back up all your data.  Good luck.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 - no USB or Ethernet cable to connect the printer to the computer?

I'm just trying to set up my new printer Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless.  I got to the step of installing the software, but there seems to be no cable supplied to connect the printer to my computer.

I can't currently connect via radio that I expect a new wireless router be delivered.  Is this the way onlt connection other than buying a separate USB or Ethernet cable?

    Help, please.

Ethernet and USB cables are not usually provided with most of the printers that you need to choose a cable with a length of favourabel to you. You can go to a hardware/computer store and buy a USB A-to-B cable. I'll post a picture of the end of cable just to clear any confusion.
