You can choose if you want to delete all cookies or delete only some areas individual cookies in case you want to keep some.

You can also set to allow all cookies expire when Firefox is closed.

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: keep until: "closing of Firefox".

Create an "allow" exception (voorzieningen) cookie for the cookies you want to keep.

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

"Site Préférences" (Websitevoorkeuren) compensation clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, installation of software, passwords, and other specific data from Web site.

Deletion of cookies will delete all specified (selected) cookies, including cookies with an exception allowing you want to keep.

Firefox no longer works on my machine (Windows 8.1), he opened in tabs I used last, but there is no picture displayed and the computer froze, making it necessary to restart by pressing the button. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't make any difference, so I uninstalled and just started using Chrome (no problem). As you have noticed, Firefox 38 presents dialog boxes Options/preferences based on the tabs, and this could be a little problem with the settlement data tab for a reason (it is based on a bug in new code or an add-on or other factors).

If you are prone to a little more troubleshooting, could you try Mode without failure of Firefox to see if cookies are visible here? Details below.

If you prefer to go back to the old dialog instead, there is a way to do it.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste pref and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.preferences.inContent to true to false

Note: I don't know if that will ever be in Firefox or is a transitional device. As you have probably noticed, the long-term trend is to remove things that appear.

  • Why not * true * customization for the Cookies of Firefox?

Of course, there are cookie options. But I want to be able to individually allow ONLY some cookies while refusing others when I get out of Firefox. In its current form, it seems you can check only one that allows or deletes cookies when leaving. I use iGoogle as my home page and cookies must be enabled permanently in order to maintain its settings. Of course, this means that unwanted cookies are also allowed to stay. I need * true customization.

Thanks loads for your helpful suggestions. If all goes well, the Mozilla group will be much easier management of cookies (perhaps a characteristic click) in the future.

Start Firefox in Mode safe to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    To turn on safe mode
