Calculate the imaginary part of the complex number

I recently got a s 35 HP. I would like to know how to enter a complex number with an imaginary part calculated, like 2 + sqrt (3) I. I tried several strategies by using parentheses, even put the sqrt (3) in a stored variable and recalling it, but everything I tried of gives me an answer "Syntax error". It is hard to believe that something so simple can be done easily. I hope someone out there has an easy solution!

Hi, Make,

The link you cite is the same document that I have referred to in my rating of 17/08/2015 at 4:15, mention the kind of number that I want to, but don't say don't not how to enter in the calculator. However, moving to RPN, one CAN easily enter these numbers. Two examples:

3 + 2i [sqrt] 2 [sqrt] ix3 + which reads: 3i1.4142 (in format xiy)

5. [sqrt] 3i 3 [sqrt] [+/-] ix5 + which reads: 5i - 1.7321 (once again, in the format xiy)

or, put the real part first, 5 [ENTER] 3 [Sqrt] [+/-] ix +.

So, as I suspected, I need to use RPN for this sort of thing.

Thank you for your support.

    Hello

    Well, if you keep your cool failry statistics, you can get a very good grip on the number of lines through the NUM_ROWS in dba_tables column and then summarize the owner, on the top of my head:

    select sum(NUM_ROWS) from dba_tables where owner like 'SCHEMA';

    Do not forget that the number of lines shown this way will be the number of lines at the time of the last crawl (dbms_stats) has been run on the segment, so it may not always be equal to the number of the schema rowset did when running.

    Hi Kim,

    Welcome to the VMware communities.

    {
        remove-item report.htm
    }

    foreach ($cluster in $clusters){

        $ClusterSockets = 0
        foreach ($ESXHost in ($cluster | Get-VMHost | Sort Name)){

            $row.name = $ESXHost.name
            $row.version = $ESXHost.version
            $row.build = $ESXHost.build
            $row.clustername = $cluster.name
            $row.model = $ESXHost.model
            $row.ProcessorType = $ESXHost.ProcessorType

        "

  • Calculate the number of days between two dates

    Hello

    Can someone help please change my formcalc script to calculate the number of working days between two date fields.  My script currently calculates the total number of days between two dates, including the weekends which must be excluded from the total.

    If

    (HasValue (Start_Date1) & HasValue (End_Date1)) then

    $

    = Date2Num (End_Date1, "YYYY-MM-DD" "en_IE") - Date2Num (Start_Date1, "YYYY-MM-DD" "en_IE") + 1

    on the other

    ""

    endif

    Any help will be most appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Check...

    (1) you said that you put the script on the event «days1» calculate My sample imitates the variable names used in the original message, "Start_Date1" and "End_Date1". If the names of variables for the start and end dates are different, you will need to modify the script to account for these names.

    (2) the Date2Num functions in the calculation of the "totalDays" use the date format "YYYY-MM-DD". If your date habits differ from "YYYY-MM-DD" FormCalc will complain.

  • How to calculate the total of a mathematical operation

    Hello everyone,

    I'm new to Essbase calculations, and I'm trying to figure out how to make a recurring calculation and store the results in a specific data point. I have two accounts:
    Volume of sales (in units) - StoreData
    Rate of work (hours) - DynamicCalc based on a specific percentage by product rate

    These two pieces of information are by product. As each product has a different rate and volume, to calculate the total number of hours required for the production of all the elements, I have to do something like the calculation below where (sales volume * wage rate) for each product:

    Total hours = SUM (sales volume * wage rate)

    It is very easy to do in relational DB, but I need help with Essbase.

    Any ideas? Thank you very much.

    M.

    You try to do something of relationship in an OLAP cube. The way to proceed is different. In Essbase, you would make the Total number of hours of calculation = sales volume * wage rate) on each product and their aggregation up to the size to get a total at different levels.

  • Calculate the number of days remaining until the next anniversary. Help, please!

    Hi guys,.

    I'm new to the forum and to the development of BB. So please do not judge harshly if the answer to my question seems obvious.

    I need to calculate the number of days until the next birthday (taking into account any valid birth date)

    After looking at the API and the forum search, I realized that I could

    calculate the difference between two dates in milliseconds and then divide the delta of the value of a day in milliseconds. That is to say:

    birthdayCalendar.set (Calendar.YEAR, those);

    Date1 = birthdayCalendar.getTime () .getTime ();

    date2 = System.currentTimeMillis ();

    Delta = date1 - date2

    numOfDays = delta\DateTimeUtilities.ONEDAY

    Here's my question. How do I create a valid date1 what about leap years?

    Maybe there's a better way to solve this problem?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I agree that the determination of the number of days between today and Feb. 29 could be a little difficult, if it is not a leap year.  I suspect that the calendar has a certain built-in mechanism to compensate for this, but your solution to choose a date is better.

    DST has a role to play, and Yes, the calendar makes up for it.  Let us take two dates, for example (before DST) March 1 and June 1 (after the DST).  If you take a calendar and set the same hour, minute, etc., they are all the same except for dates, then subtract one from the other, and then divide by the number of milliseconds in 1 hour, you calculate the number of hours between the same time on two different days.  You will find that it is not a multiple of 24 hours - because there is actually an hour less than the number of days since the clocks move forward (in the northern hemisphere anyway...),

    In your case, you are not calculating the number of hours, you calculate the number of days.  But you will be dividing by [24 * (time in an hour)].  If you take [23 * (time in an hour)] and divide it by [24 * (time in an hour)], using arithmetic on integers, you will end up 0.  The easiest to get around this, who also works for the end of the DST too, is to simply add one hour to the date before the division.

    Hope that makes sense...
