Calculator missing accessories

I miss the calculator in ACCESSORIES. I went to C:Drive\Windows\System32 to locate the calculator and double click above to reactivate. But I am not able to make it reappear in my list ACCESSORIES or even unable to sheet and drop it off at my office. What can I do to get it back on my profile or on my desktop for ease of use?
Thank you!

Hello

Logon as ADMINISTRATOR

Go to Calc.exe - make a right click on it - create a shortcut

then right-click on the shortcut and CUT

then browse far and paste

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories

You can also PASTE the shortcut on the desktop.

I hope this helps. Rob - bicycle - Mark Twain said it is good.

  • Program volume control missing from the taskbar.

MY VOLUMN CONTROL ICON IS MISSING FROM THE TOOLBAR. I TRIED TO CHECK THE BOX IN THE CONTROL PANEL, BUT IT'S ME GIVES AN ERROR MESSAGE "YOUR VOLUME CONTROL PROGRAM IS NOT INSTALLED" I FIXED USING XP DISCS, BUT IT IS NOT YET HERE. THIS IS PART OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM. I HAD ALSO LOST MY CALCULATOR AND GAMES. I HAVE RE-INSTALLED CALCULATOR AND ACCESSORIES SINCE THE ORIGINAL DISC GAMES ARE BACK BUT STILL NO VOLUMN CONTROL.  ANYONE KNOW WHAT THEN?

The sndvol32.exe file is one of 3498 files that are monitored by the Windows File Protection System (if it works).

Assuming that your volume control was previously working and you have uninstalled not really things...

Even if you manually delete c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe, Windows File Protection should quickly and silently substitute a backup copy and put a message similar to the following in the XP system event log:

    Event type: Information

    Event source: Windows File Protection

    Date: 16/06/2010

    Time: 11:57:49

    Description:

File replacement was attempted on the protected system file c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe. This file was restored to the original version to maintain system stability. The file version of the system file is 5.1.2600.0.

See the date and time of this event?  I just deleted my file sndvol32.exe moments, and it is replaced almost instantly (no necessary CD in XP), so so he could go "missing" in the c:\windows\system32 folder and it must be replaced would require an effort unless something is wrong (which it probably is).  You can only delete even on purpose.

Calc.exe is similarly - it requires some effort or other malfunction so he could come in fact really missing which means that something is not somewhere - if it worked before.

Why don't search you your system for the file and see if it is in c:\windows\system32 or not.  If it's not and it worked before, you have another problem or something is wrong.

Before you try to replace the file that should never be missed in the first place, you must first of all decent scanner for malware (since this problem with the sound control panel is such a common condition of malware),then when the scans are complete and clean, difficulty of problems.

Do a few scans for malware, then when it's over difficult problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
  • I lost my Start menu accessories. How can I get my return accessories?

I'm not sure what I did, but I noticed that missing accessories in the menu all programs.  I can not access calculator, paint, and all other programs or features of accessories.  I tried to do a system restore, but it did not work.  Some (not all) of my shortcuts or icons on my desktop are grayed out too.  It's as if these things are hidden.

Someone can advise me on how to find accessories on my computer and put it back in all programs please.  Thank you.

Thanks for your reply, but I have downloaded and run unhide.exe and it did the trick.  He put accessories in the menu all programs and all my desktop icons are fully lit.

Apparently, I had a bit of malware infected which caused this back in May.  I've got rid of the annoying malware, but could not figure out how to fix the damage so far.  Thanks again for your response.  I hope my answer helps someone else with this problem.

  • Accessories/System Tools

I deleted somehow Accessories/System Tools (i.e., defrag, etc.) my program files folder.  I tried to locate this program in the Windows Download Center, but was unable to do so.

Bob, thanks for your response.  I'm a little, ok a lot, computer illiterate and it took me a while to understand how to create a separate shortcut for each of system tools.  But I thought about it.  I created a shortcut to each of the files that you said to do.  However, when I tried to create a shortcut for the backup, I get the following error message; The C:\Windows\system32\ntbackup.exe file is not found.

After that I created shortcuts, I then opened time cleaning disk & both open and Disk Defragmenter and ran.   Any idea on what's wrong with the address of backup?  I copied and pasted your shortcut address would not be misspellings.

    Thanks for your help!

You use the Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional?

The default Win XP Home Edition does not include the backup utility.  However, you can search your hard disk for a file named ntbackup.exe, to check whether the backup is installed on your computer.  Don't worry, if it is missing.

Either by the way, you will find a complete list of the accessories shortcuts to www.hm2k.com/posts/missing-accessories-shortcuts-from-start-menu-on-windows-xp.

The most important utilities information system, table characters, the restoration of the system, Disk Defragmenter and disk cleanup.  I wouldn't bother to create additional shortcuts for other tools that might be missing (with the possible exception of the utility scheduled tasks).

  • I lost my accessory under Start, all programs, and accessibility.

    Original title: Technical Support.

I have Windows XP Home Professional with Service Pack 3. I lost my accessory under Start, all programs, and accessibility. I want to use the calculator, but he's not here, I mean Windows components. They were deleted for a reason. He questioned the Service Pack 3 Cd, but I have only the CD with Service Pack 2. How can I reinstall them?

System File Checker will not work for you for two reasons:

    1. He will ask the installation CD XP sp3 - which is not
    2. Even if you have the correct CD, this isn't what SFC

Instead, see AccRestore - restores the missing Accessories group shortcut (this is a web site with confidence you can securely download the zip file, after you download the file, do a right click and "Extract all" and then double-click on the extracted exe file)

  • PDF attachments only not crossing in Windows Live Mail

My internet provide cannot solve this one! When I transfer emails with PDF attached to my work computer from my home computer attachments come not through. It is not because of my computer settings apparently. (When email from the work computer from others - they get the attachment). I deleted my program files Adobe al and just reinstall the Adobe Reader and it's still not better.

First: this has nothing to do with Adobe Reader - when an e-mail arrives with missing accessories, then Adobe Reader was not even close to him.

    That said, a few questions:

    • This happens for all the PDF files you transfer?
    • What are the sizes of these files?
    • that is also the case for other types of file, for example Word documents?
    • If you send a file with a new message (not before), the same thing happens?

Also, basically email is not an ideal method of transmitting electronic documents.  Better use a service such as https://workspaces.acrobat.com/, https://drive.google.com/, https://www.dropbox.com/, etc. file sharing.

  • Bad colors

    February 21, 2011

    Hello:

It could be the wrong venue for my question but here goes.  I hope that one of you will recognise my problem.

Through CS4, I was printing with an Epson R1900.  My monitor and printer have been described with Extreme XRite Eye-1.  I use Epson Ink in the printer and, especially, the Epson paper.  Since almost a year, the screen and the engravings were a good match.

A few days ago, I printed a photo with the light of the Sun reflecting off the water; the color is yellow-gold (RGB 248, 216, 122 and 103, 82, 44); the color profile of the file is 8-bit sRGB.  On Epson glossy paper, the color reproduction is more like a dull green.  I tried the glossy with the custom profile and the Epson Vivid stock.  I tried CS4 color management and printing, management of the color (not at the same time); I do not allow of CS4 and the printer manage color, at the same time.  A new profile was generated for the glossy paper.  In all configurations, the printed color is different degrees of dull green.

The closest color reproduction is to use the Epson Vivid, plain paper or glossy profile but specify plain paper settings.

The computer has been turned off and restarted several times.  I deleted and reinstalled the printer.  Cyan, yellow and orange ink cartridges have been replaced.  Nozzle cleaning and maintenance head alignment programs were executed.  Epson technical support has been contacted, but they have not yet identified the problem.  Feel secure by the Windows XP Windows and Fax Viewer gives the same results.

I would appreciate any advice to solve this problem.  Of course, I can't print anything with this color error.

Thank you for your time and your consideration.

    Dear Peter:

I'm sorry for missing accessories.  They left here.  I guess that the servers forum stripped attachments.

On a brighter note, I think that the problem has been resolved.  I generated new profiles for the R1900 with papers, which I use.  Then I did some printing tests, as follows.

    1. no color (by Epson) management,

2 original profile with different parameters and

    3. new profile with different parameters.

The results were consistent.  I compared the results with the monitor and the previous impressions (if available).

    1. no color management, the impressions are significantly dark but the color was OK.

    2. the original profile of brilliance, the impressions are noticeably dark and color had a blue-green tinge.

    3. with the new profile of brilliance, the impressions are good for the brightness and colors.

One question remains: what happened!  Cartridge ink, ink and paper are Epson; the files have not changed, reading file has not changed, etc.  However, something (s) are a very important parameter!  My experience of mechanical engineering, I'm used to the tolerance of manufacturing and functional variations but what's this fickle setting.  For me, this experience suggests that the original Epson profiles are now worthless.  If it wasn't for the printer profiling system, my impressions would be terrible.  I wonder how many times this change suddenly system occurs.

    Thank you for your help.

    step 1

before you start to try programs and things

Save all your data, otherwise if you have missing DLLs you will mess the registry and then are bad
    step 2
After trying all the software that you need like antivirus, registry cleaners, defragmenters
try to look for the icons and programs on the windows system32, don't start with run
If you find any, you are sure that the programs are installed
then you will know is a shortcut problem
    step 3
in case u find them recreate the icons everywhere u love and change u ensure the safety of you os
warns we exchange, in the case where u can't find it
Restart the pc and with f8, go to the last known good configuration
that way u save a last log
check is that they appear, if they are not,
restore the system, or check the economy mode option
If you see them in the mode without failure, then save and load on the right configuration
in any case remember that you have wnds f1 help key button
    step 4
last option u said that you have a cd of xp re install

  • First HP Calculator virtual missing mfc120u.dll error since upgrading to version 1.21.8151.102

The first HP Virtual calculator will not start since the last update (version 1.21.8151.102). A windows system error window appears when you attempt to start the calc virt, saying: "the program can't start because mfc120u.dll is missing on your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. »

Needless to say that "resettlement" has not fixed the problem. It is clear from research that the specified DLL is associated with related debug versions if you wonder if the last version was poorly built? Does anyone else have this problem? Any solution of HP? I had to go back to my "shipped" version that is less than optimal. It has been no problem so far with my device real first HP since the last update of the firmware so phew... but the virtual calc is very convenient when working on the PC with the code.

I am running windows 7 64 bit - all the latest updates applied to MS etc had no problem until this version of the vCalc

    A possible scenario:

    • During installation, the 64-bit OS is recognized and installed the 64-bit version of the redistributable.
    • The emulator is probably a 32-bit version (compatibility, 32-bit programs usually work on 64-bit systems, but not vice versa).
    • There looking for the 32-bit version of the redistributable is not installed.

Note, this is one of the many possibilities in the world of software. However, the fact that 32-bit programs require the redistributable 32-bit and 64-bit programs require 64-bit redistributable is why I suggested to install both versions. It is not only useful for the HP emulators, but many other programs (this is why I have so many people already installed).

    Best regards.
