Calendar of transfer cannot blackBerry Smartphones: Palm Treo for Curve 8330

I helped my husband spend his Palm Treo 600, Palm desktop use, again BB Curve 8330. A seller has transferred name and Tel #s only.  I managed to spend most of his Palm in Outlook and Outlook with the BB synchronized.  Now, the only problem seems to be that the calendar is not synchronized on for BB. Suggestions?

I tried to synchronize the configurations of setting different ways: to synchronize calendar only, or all to ask Outlook to substitute the device and two-way.  Nothing to get the calendar the BB, even if all its addresses and tasks are there now. Help!

TIA,

Michelle (for Chuck)

Hello

Outlook 2003 and desktop manager v.6 will be perfect!

Yes, install the main e-mail on the Blackberry address to match Outlook.

On the Blackberry, you get a calendar for each e-mail address that you use.

Alone can be synchronized with the Outlook calendar.

You can e-mail Outlook, tools, options and verify that the default account.

Then on Blackberry from the home screen, options, advanced options

default services. Use main email options calendar CICAL and CMIME is enamel.

Placing them as value by default synchronize you then e-mail to e-mail address schedules.

Make sense?

Let me know if you need anything else!

Thank you

    OK... so it's planned...

The following procedure deletes all data, or all data and applications on the BlackBerry smartphone. Back up the data before you perform the procedure. For instructions, see KB12487.

    1. connect the BlackBerry smartphone to PC computer.
    2. open start-> programs-> Accessories-> command prompt.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to sync Curve 8330 w / o/s 4.5 BBDM 4.2 devices

First off... Info by the PC.

    Win XP Pro SP3

    Outlook 2003 SP2

    BBDM 4.2 SP2

My wife and I have blackberries, I have a Pearl 8130 running OS 4.5.0.66 while she has a Curve 8330 running 4.5.77 OS

I upgraded two 4.5 devices because we wanted the ability to separate work and home schedules.
So we both synchronize our House using BBDM 4.2 calendar, which has been fine until yesterday. We use the DM 4.2 because it takes for my home mail server. It also uses the Desktop 4.2 to work (this time because it continues to use Outlook 2000, which does not support the DM 4.5).

When we configure first the House DM we specified a default calendar in options > Advanced Option > default Services. It changes the calendar by default if it needs to synchronize its calendar of work. It was fine for a week. But yesterday it just stopped synchronization of calendar, Contacts is fine... There is no error report, no window pop up to say error found and nothing in the synchronization log.

I tried to reconfigure the synchronization settings, recreated the synchronization profile, restarted the PC and doing a battery pull on the hand. Nothing seems to help. The only way I can get things to synchronize now is to change the default calendar for that account it uses to work, then it syncs but duplicates the entrances to House and adds entries for the calendar of the House work.

On my handheld, I did the same thing with no luck. I will not sync my calendar of work via DM to the factory, I only use BIS and the events calendar are added only if I receive a meeting request by e-mail. I installed NotifyLink so I'm doing some tests with him, and it is configured to synchronize the calendar OTA. And I used an account other than the default calendar for this. And if I pass on the account I used to sync OTA I get too all the House calendar event duplication in the calendar.

My question is... Can someone shed some light on this? It is ultimately because DM 4.2 cannot make the distinction between the accounts of another calendar and will only synchronize with the last configuration?

I have improved my 8130 to o/s 4.5.0.77 (the same version of my wife 8330 is running) upgrade went well... Everything on your handheld seems to be ok...

I have connected the bead on the desktop this morning and was able to correctly synchronize the calendar. But I stll cannot synchronize the curve. And there is no upgrade of operating systems available for her still for me to try that...

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help you.

    Here's what can be easier.

Use Google calendar that can sync with Outlook 2003

Use Google mobile sync on both devices, Google calendar can be shared by multiple users.

You'd be able to synchronize the devices and the Outlook calendar at home.

With your Gmail account, you can import your contacts as well.

Would keep you synchronized with devices and the calendar of the House, have your contacts.

That would leave a DM sync for your wife to work for Outlook 2000 calendar. This action has resolved its changing the default calendar between work and home.

(If Gmail has support for 2000, your wife could bind his work schedule and his personal calendar to sync even. Users can have multiple calendars in Google.)

Read the links and see if it would be easier for you to manage.

And by the way... IT IS FREE

  • Problems of blackBerry Smartphones with new sync Curve 8330/from the Outlook calendar.

I hope someone can help with my problem - after two days I'm out of ideas.

1.i am running a Vista 64 bit laptop with Microsoft Office 2007, including Outlook.

    2. yesterday, I bought a Blackberry 8330 and downloaded initially included DM, version 4.5.  After that some intitial hiccups with the synch I could synchronize contacts, tasks and Memo databases.

    3. once the initial synchronization, calendar download on the device, but the contacts file was messed up so I had to wipe everything and try again - since then, I am unable to synchronize the calendar, either from the device:

    I tried the following:

I uninstalled and installed DM three times - the latest is version 4.7 of the SM with the Media Manager.

I wiped the machine clean and started from scratch twice.

I also removed the battery and then reinserted it.

I tried both ways and a way synchs - none worked.

I tried something enter in the calendar of the unit and see if it will synchronize in Outlook. Nothing helps.

I spent three hours on the phone with Verizon and finally they told me this advice.

I found a thread that has a solution to someone who seemed very knowledgeable.  His solution involved something to do with the two emails on the device, but as I started on this solution, my Explorer has frozen and poured out the browser - and now I can't find the thread again.

Not a great day so far and I am hour # 14 without success - it is only today...

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you very much

    t

Of course the second idea was the winner - went in the options and found that the timetable has been set for Face Book - after my first synchronization when the RM calendar and AddressBook do not have I also loaded who's who and she took over.  Thank you very much for your help and now I'm a fully functional crackberry addict.

  • BlackBerry smartphones anyone with a Curve 8330 with 4.5 OS...

I posted a question a few days ago, but got no response... I'll copy and paste it here.

I've had my Blackberry 8330 for almost 2 weeks now.  While I really love most of the time, I have a problem a bit annoying.  When my phone rings and I hit the reply button, it automatically goes to the speaker for the first couple seconds.  It doesn't last long at all, and it goes straight to the regular speaker its own, without me having to do anything special.  The problem is that if there is a background noise on the end of the appellant, it blows through the very loud speaker and everyone around me can hear it as well.  This makes answering my phone a little embarrassing quiet mid-week.  Not to mention the fact that the time I forget what happens and press the answer right when the phone is in my ear, I'm jump by its very very hard.  Ouch.

What I asked is now, how many of you with this same model and a 4.5 OS have this problem?  In the search for a solution online, I found that it is a fairly common problem and seems to be a bug with the 4.5 OS.  I had the opportunity to exchange it for a new curve, but it will have the same OS.  If this happens with all phones with this OS, there is really no need to trade me.

Is there a new official OS 4.5 available?  I'm a little nervous about the upgrade anything like that me... Always seems to screw up these things.  If there are about 4.5 out there that aren't having this problem, I rather just share and try my luck there.

    Thanks in advance!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, Palm Desktop 6.2 to Blackberry without Outlook or Palm device data transfer

Just got my new Blackberry Tour.  My Palm T / X is dead, but I still run the Palm Desktop for my calendar & contacts.  Tried to create a spreadsheet Excel and then running via Outlook by another suggestion posted, but for some reason any, I can't Outlook to open!  So is it possible to transfer data without using outlook and without having a Palm device to use?

    Thank you!!!

If you have data in Excel, you can save the excel file in an ASCII text and file import/synchronization of the device through the Desktop Manager.

Visit this link, ignore the part about the error and scroll to the specified resolution and follow the directions.

KB12351 Error message when the transfer of contacts from Palm Treo on the BlackBerry device

  • Details of transfer of Smartphones from blackBerry to Palm Treo 650 to Tour via BB Desktop Manager

I just got the new Tour.  I've been using the Palm Treo and Palm Desktop (v 4.1.4).  1: the BB Desktop manager does NOT ask for name/password of the device, as indicated on this site.  2nd AND MAIN QUESTION: when BB starts to pass data from one platform to the other, it invariably gets stuck in the first transaction (calendar) on file 3724 3385, how it is listed as "not responding" and the same message comes back to Palm Desktop.  By another post, I adjusted the settings in Hot Sync related to the calendar to 'do nothing', but still experiences the same problem.  Help, please!  If I can't get these documents (including contacts) in the BB, it is worthless for me.

Thanks for the suggestions. What ended the work has been upgraded to the latest version of Palm Desktop (v6.2) syncing the Palm Treo to Outlook (instead of Palm Desktop) and then sync Blackberry to Outlook.  Nothing else has worked, but now the contacts and calendar are in the Blackberry which was the goal.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Palm desktop vs BlackBerry Desktop

I am trying to understand desktop software for BlackBerry. As much as I can see has no user interface is simply a backup of the data entered on the BlackBerry? All data are entered on the handheld device not the desktop softwar.

Palm desktop UI has a fully visible calendar and other tools. You can enter the data on the desktop or the Pocket PC that allows to synchronize the phone and vica-a-versa.

My understanding of the BlackBerry desktop software is correct? -MikeT

    Hello

The BB Desktop Software is designed to synchronize data between the PC and the BB. Its function is to backup and restore application, synchronization, loading, transfer of information between BB and a Palm tree, for example, and if you can

a Media Manager. You can enter the data calendar, addressbook, texts and memos on the PC and synchronize the two devices.

So there is a similarity. Give me a minute and I'll give you PC programs supported for desktop software.

Here is the link of the supported programs:

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

  • Help with calendar with Outlook sync blackBerry Smartphones to all appointments will not sync...

I'm not a great tech, but I have some skills good enough for a girl, if I say so myself... but I'm so frustrated... I need help.

This is my first public post... So I hope that I give all the information but who will help, if I missed something, please let me know.

    Here is some background info:

    I have a BB "BOLD"

I use it NOT on a company (network)

I sync my bb with my dell

    Windows Vista (UGH!)

    Outlook - Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001

My calendar and my contacts are the most important reason, I have a bb

    My contacts are FINE

    My schedule is a MESS

I have 2 separate email addresses work well my bb... For the purposes of his post, I will refer to them as

    [email protected] and

    [email protected]

When I do appointments in my work calendar, I do one of 2 things to get all my appointments on the BB

Plan my gmail as a participant in the designation address or

Prior to the appointment to my gmail from my work email address

When I make an appointment directly from my BB I do it by selecting Menu > new = my default settings of the account gmail under the 'send '.

    BB News:

    When I'm in the calendar and select > Menu.Options > calendars > I have 3 options

[email protected] who has (518 entries)

Default device that has (157 results)

[email protected] who has (429 entries)

When I go to the Menu > Options > Advanced Options > Services > (CICAL) by default is [email protected] , it shows that I have options to select my Gmail or my .mac address

That is the problem - it did not used to happen, and I frankly did not know that my backup was messed up so I don't know how long this is happening.

    When I sync with Outlook

There are only 518 appointments that are synchronized

I can't get the other 157 (defect of the unit) + 429 (mac) to sync with my outlook

Can someone help me to get them all on my gmail calendar? or in my outlook so that I can then sync back with the BB

I will not sync my bb with my mac

    Here's what I tired:

    • Yelling at the computer
    • Yelling in Spanish at the BlackBerry
    • ignoring the two
    • I stopped myself to throw both of them against the wall.

    But seriously

I put the BB Desktop Manager to perform a one-way synchronization > bb to outlook = NOTHING only synchronize gmail

I changed the (CICAL) to my mac address and synchronized = NOTHING - only synchronization gmail

I am at a loss and would appreciate any help.

    Hello

We will remember and then on MAC records.

Outlook contains records of 158 of the associated Gmail Calendar.

The calendar by default folders must be cleared and restored to the associated Gmail Calendar.

The Blackberry associated gmail calendar resulting will be then synchronized with Outlook to add the former default records

resulting calendars synced to Outlook and Blackberry.

Reading this, I propose more than once. Method 3 is what we do.

Let me know, tomorrow, what questions you have the procedure so that we can ensure we succeed.

KB16063 Unexpected results occur when syncing with a BlackBerry smartphone that has several CICAL service records.

Let me know how it goes!

  • Calendar two-way sync blackBerry smartphones not

BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.7 informed me there was (4.5) updates to my Blackberry Curve 8330. I downloaded & installed the updates on my device; However, his calendar is therefore more two-way, synchronization with Outlook 2007. Initially, sync told me that he had a number of Outlook calendar events to add... This actually created duplicate on the device. I checked synchronization has been set for two lanes, removed duplicates and re-sync... She wants to add the events again. I let him, but he had no overlap. The new calendar in Outlook items are added to my Blackberry when a synchronization is performed; However, it keeps wanting to add the same calendar events 80 + every time (although he does not overlap them). New events added to the Blackberry calendar do not appear in Outlook after syncing. If an event is deleted on the Blackberry, it reappears after synchronization.

I backed up my camera and erased his calendar items in the backup restore & > Advanced Options... no luck. I uninstalled Desktop Manager, version 4.5 (from the CD that came with my camera)... no luck. I have re-installed Desktop Manager 4.7... no luck. I have not eliminated items in calendar again... no luck.

I use the Blackberry & Outlook 2007 only - no BES. I only have a calendar on the device and a calendar in Outlook. Address book information synchronizes perfectly every time; I does not synchronize e-mail or tasks.

Anyone have any suggestions for the restoration of the two-way Calendar synchronization between Outlook & Blackberry?

Contact Bell Mobility support, who advised to wipe the Blackberry. This solves the problem.

  • Calendars of duplicate of blackBerry Smartphones

I set my Curve 8330 to use the Desktop Manager to synchronize.  Since then, my company got BES.  The first attempt at activaction failed.  The second attempt was successful.  The problem is that I have now 3 calendars called Desktop.  Is there a way to get rid of duplicate calendars?

    Hello

    I'm sorry, but...

Desktop is the name of the BES Service, so if you see three Desktop then you have serious problems with the database of blackberries (on the handset).

You will neede to wipe the device

    (Options-> Securoity Options-> General settings-> Menu-> computer Pocket wipe)

And then re-enable against the BES.

    (I recommend activating wireless).

    Hope that helps!

  • Is BlackBerry Smartphones a bin for emails?

I just changed my Palm Treo to the storm, and I'm a little frustrated.  I can't find a trash can.  Besides, I can't yet create a folder to put the old messages in.

    Am I missing something here?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Jonathan

No, no such thing on the BlackBerry to a personal account of BIS.

Deleted is deleted, no trash to empty.

You can save messages and they will be saved in the 'saved' folder, but you cannot create additional e-mail folders.

Now a BlackBerry Enterprise Service can create folders or at least to reconcile records from their desktop.
