Call since the Thailand using Skype

Hello

I'm leaving tomorrow to the United States for the Thailand. I have the Droid X and it has mobile Skype and Skype app.

Is could someone please tell me if Skype will allow me to connect from the Thailand in the United States?

Someone told me there are a few 'special' Skype android version which will work oversees... or is it just a bool value * beep *?

Kind regards.

Hello

As long as you have a connectivity WiFi, then the normal Skype for Android app works well and you can make Skype to Skype calls to one of your contacts or you can call any phone number you like.

I do not recommend the use of a network of data in Thailand, because you could get charged by your operator for data roaming.

The Skype Mobile application must be available to work, so this application, you cannot connect to the Verizon network.

    Hello, Yes,.

    Is this the same problem as described here:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-Z30/Z30-keeping-the-dial-pad-quot-lit-quot-when-in...

    Discussion on how the screen turns black during a regular call, it is impossible, for example, to listen to a call and to have the keypad remains lit, so you can press the right numbers while dealing with an automated reception, was doing phone banking, or using any other system that relies on automated messages.

    The problem came down to how some people take their phone (especially when trying to listen to the guests and press the right button at the same time).  The solution has been to hold the phone differently.  So my question would be whether the phone is blacking out because of the very special combination of things happening in your scenario, or is it blacking out because you're online and proximity sensor of the phone thinks you're holding it to your ear (and think that when you do this, you want to have blackened keypad).

    Sorry for the late reply.

    According to the characteristics of the model number of your Acer computer, it seems that your computer does not have a built-in webcam.

    If you use an external device, you can visit the web camera manufacturer's Web site and install the latest driver on your computer.

  • How to call "run the dbms_utility" using native query?

    Hello

    I need compile my invalid object using APP.

    In my EJB, I have a method that does this:

    Query query = em.createNativeQuery ("execute dbms_utility.compile_schema ('CGBDEV8', false) '");
    int irslt = query.executeUpdate ();

    But the executeUpdate is a failure.

    Can you provide me with a solution on how it can be done.

    Thanks in advance

    Emile

    Yes, but as I said, jdbc has some restrictions, you cannot use boolean etc types.

    Have you tried statement proposed in my previous answer: em.createNativeQuery ("call dbms_utility.compile_schema ('CGBDEV8', some_util_pck.int2bool (0))" "");   ?

    "According to the docs, second parameter in dbms_utility.compile_schema () is optional if even this should work: em.createNativeQuery (call dbms_utility.compile_schema ('CGBDEV8')" ")";

  • EditField: protected boolean insert (...) not called if the device uses VirtualKeyboard

    Hi all

    I extend the EditField class to intercept the entries of tank / backspaces and do something. I would outweigh all the methods of the superclass:

    protected boolean insert(char arg0, int arg1);
    public int insert(String text);
    protected int insert(String text, int context);

    protected boolean backspace();
    protected int backspace(int count, int context);
    public int backspace(int count);

    I tried on a 8520 (which has a physical keyboard) and the methods overridden were correctly when you type something in the field. However, this is not the case on a touch device (tried on a 9380). In this case the text is typed and showed correctly in the EditField custom, but not the method above is called never. I am quite confused...

    Is anyone of you know how to insert text in the virtual keyboard in the EditField? Is it possible to intercept these events?

    See you soon,.

    Beto

    The problem with keyChar and keyDown is that the char to insert depends on the keyboard layout, I didn't want to do something that it is already done by RIM.

    However, I have tried those overring however, but keyChar is never invoked, and keyDown gave place to a chariot double inserted in the editfield...

    In the end, I followed a suggestion made by @peter_strange in another post (I'll add the link if I managed to find it again) and put a FieldChangeListener on the edit field. When field changes, if the context is 0 (user action), I check if the text is changed and do what I have to do...

    Thank you.

    Hello

    I recently updated a number of our phones blackberry 8100 company for the latest OS 4.5.0.55 platform 2.7.0.68)

    When a call is received, and I answer with the green button the phone always goes into speakerphone mode. I have to move the phone to the ear and press the OP button to turn off the speaker for the call.

    It is confusing with the appellant because they're not sure of what is happening during the few seconds of quite while I turn off the phone mode talk.

    I've updated a number of phones and all other seem to answer calls in fashion phone speaker not as expected.

    I looked in the menu options to find an arrangement.

    Thanks in advance for any help...  If no solution is found, I might have to reflash old firmware and then reflash firmware again.

  • Make a call to the database

    From the outset, I apologize for my lack of knowledge about databases and database connectivity kit.  I am struggling through it, with my team and make advance slow progression.

    We are finally able to connect to an Oracle (11g) database with database connectivity kit (LV2015) and I successfully read some data using the select VI.  I'm pretty impressed by the way in which it works and as the integration, this will provide for my project.  The problem is that my team is very nervous about an application of part 3rd reading and writing to their database tables.  Their concern is to corrupt data, expecially when writing.

    They would rather make me a call to the database using the API.  For starters, they gave me a test script that would send a message once received by the database.  The script is the following:

    sy_common.send_mail ('[email protected]'

    , "[email protected]".

    "Database connection has worked"

    "You have successfully called a LabView database procedure."

    ,'[email protected]'

    null

    "text/html");

    Is it possible to run a script with one of the database connectivity tool screws?

    If it works, the next step would be to have several calls that could read and write data using API to return the equipment to communicate with the database according to the needs.

    Yes, look at him "create parameterized query VI.  Specify the name of the procedure that the text of the query and then build the table of parameters with your input values.  Stored procedure set to true.

    At least this is how it works with MSSQL.  I'm not familiar with Oracle, but it should work the same way on all platforms.

                </children>
            </GridPane>
        </center>
    </BorderPane>
    I want to align the labels to right using CSS:
    .form *.label {
      -fx-alignment: right;
      -fx-font-weight: bold;
      -fx-hpos: right;
      -fx-text-alignment: right;
      -fx-text-wrap: true;
    }
    However I have not found any way to align the labels in the GridPane using CSS, or - fx-alignment: right, - fx-node-hpos: right. -fx-hpos: right. -fx-text-alignment: seem to work well...

    The only way to make it work is to define the attribute of each label Grid.halignment:
                    <Label text="HTML Mail" GridPane.columnIndex="0" GridPane.columnSpan="2" GridPane.halignment="right" GridPane.rowIndex="7" />
    But what happens if I want to change that at a later stage-> I need to change this attribute for each node.

    How can align the labels to right using CSS only?

    Currently CSS in JFX cannot really be used for layout page (or calibration). This is one of those grey areas between what is style (which should be in the CSS) and what is layout (which should be in the FXML). I think I remember Richard mentioning once in a forum or an article that he did not want to add alignment stuff to the CSS at a certain point, but don't quote me on that. You might have a search through Kenai to see if there is a feature request for it and if not add one.

    Perhaps you could it with fake labels stretch to fill the available space in the GridPane. For this, you need to disable the restriction of maximum size (setMaxWidth and setMaxHeight to Integer.MAX_VALUE) and ensure your forced GridPane are such that the label will fill the cell. Once you have a stretched label alignment will come into play as the text is aligned relative to the area of the label (as opposed to a manager that aligns the entire label compared to its parent). I think that put a border on the label when debugging to work on what's going on.

    Another less confined but more flexible alternative might be to use variables in your FXML files. You can do this in a number of ways. We must create a bean that has all the variables of your on it with accessors get and then you can move it to your charger FXML namespace and then reference it by using things like ${myConstants.gridAlignment}. Another is to create static methods on a class that a node, these can then be called from the FXML using a notation similar to GridPane.alignment. This second approach only works for things where you want to work directly on the node, but for your scenario which should be ok I think. And then there is always the option to activate a script language in your FXML, allowing you to perform more nothing.

    Hope that helps,

    1. A single date after update my touch screen froze and I was unable to trouble or to use until the battery died and the phone has rebooted.
    2. Since this restart my touch screen hangs for 5 minutes at a time at least 5 times per hour.
    3. My screen goes completely black 20 seconds in the reading of an article. I have to refresh my browser at least 6 times by reading an article on the web.
    4. If I'm in iBook I can't read yet a page without the screen goes black. I hit the home back to iBook button try to keep reading where I left off the coast, but within 20-30 seconds it goes back to black.
    5. While I'm typing, even this message, I hit the button of the space and the words are charged or inserted which does not appear. I myself taking much time to type anything bc I have to go back and get rid of the words that the phone has decided to him only to change or insert.

  • You can use Skype credit to make calls without wifi?

    Hello so my question is this.

    I'm really far from were I live and I don't want to make a cell phone plan, I don't think I'll have wifi, a friend told me I should try using Skype and Skype credit purchase, so my question is.

    Can make you calls using Skype credit without access to wifi?

    You can use Skype wifi using Skype credit? (read something some time ago, but do not pay attention)

    If I have Skype credit can I call my boyfriend to the Canada when I am in another country? without wifi or a cell plan?

    All Skype calls, paid or free, require connection to the Internet. If you do not have access to WiFi or cellular data, you will not be able to make Skype calls.

  • Unable to connect to the internet with Skype using mac

    I'm having a problem calling. I get a prompt saying you are not connected

    to the internet. I am connected to everything except Skype. I used Skype before

    without problems.

    It can be something simple, like your Skype being the Offline status.

  • Cannot call 0860 numbers or 0800 in South Africa using Skype

    It is not possible to make a Skype call to 086 or 0800 numbers in South Africa.

    For example, the phone number for Makro to South Africa is 0860 300 999. This is the official number available on the site of Makro.
    http://www.Makro.co.za/

    The number to dial is: + 27 860 300 999. The number sounds and a message is passed:

    "Sorry, unable to process your call." The line disconnects.

    It is not possible to call this number + 27 860 300 999 from a mobile phone or fixed outside South Africa.

    Of the above, you'll notice compa-Makro provides more normal numbers (011 and 012), making it impossible to communicate with them at the South Africa outdoors, or with Skype in South Africa.

    But, when you are in South Africa, you can call the number + 27 860 300 999 from a mobile phone as a landline, but not from Skype.

    Many companies in South Africa are moving away from the old numbers 011 and 012 to the 086 new numbering.

    Another example is the coordinates of the ABSA Bank:

    http://www.Absa.co.za/Absacoza/contact-us

    Note that almost all numbers begin with 08.

    ABSA General information: 08600 08600

    ABSA 0800 41 41 41 Actionline

    The ABSA Bank print 08 numbers on many accounting documents and official. It is not possible to call these numbers from outside of South Africa; or using Skype in South Africa.

    This problem was reported to the Skype development team.

    When will this problem be corrected?
