Camcorder LEGRIA HF - G30 with WD-H58W lens compatibility.

Hi all, I own a camcorder Legria HF - G10 with a converter WD-H58W wide-angle lens.

Now, I want to change my cam with the Legria HF - new G30.

Will I can continue using the WD-H58W camcorder HF - G30 or I have to buy the lens of WA - H58 as suggested on the Canon Website?

Thank you.

Hi all, I just received a response from support official Canon on the question I posted here: they say that camcorder HF - G30 and WD-H58W converter are not compatible, so if I'm going to buy HF - G30 I buy WA - H58 converter.

WD-H58W converter works only with the HF - G10 camcorder, they say.

Thank you all and consider better.

What I understand: when I'm with, say, a lens 50mm on the A7ii legacy, I must say the focal length of the lens to the camera so that SteadyShot who work best by doing this:

What you are referring is the distance between the lens and the image plane, which is NOT the focal length , but the focus Distance, which is a feature of the lens mount.

In order to properly define image sensor shift stabilization, you enter the focal length of the lens, which is a physical property of the lens and is engraved somewhere on the barrel (usually in millimetres). The focal length is an indication of the Angle of view of a lens, which is what needs to know in order to compensate for an amount of shake SteadyShot detects it.

  • No his TV on Qosmio G30 with WinXP Pro

I have a Qosmio G30 and was forced to install XP PRO due to the network at work. My IT support managed to get all the drivers installed, and everything seems to work properly. The only question that i'got is that I have no sound while watching TV. Either in the Qosmio player or WinDVR.

In Device Manager, the sounddrivers appears as "rather old" and "old videodrivers", is the same version of XP MCE?

Some of you who installed XP PRO can help me please?

    Hello

Have you checked the page of the Toshiba driver?
I checked this page and found that 3 different Qosmio G30 drivers exist on the page.
First, you must choose the correct unit.
Second, if you are installing the drivers manually you should check the site installation instructions document and you should follow this guide line.

Moreover I didn t find the drivers, particularly for WinXP Pro, but only for WinXP MCE, but I presume that these drivers also work with XP.

In any case, for most of his TV problems occur because of wrong settings PAL/SECAM.
    Please also check these options.

  • Better protection for Canon 200 with f2.0 lens

Hello guys! I have a Canon 200 f2 lens and I'm looking for a better protection of the front element in addition to the range hood. So far, I saw people recommending the lens of Don Zeck and LensCoat Hoodie Cap. Does anyone have any experience with one and 200 f2? Or are there better alternatives?

Also, would you recommend the LensCoat coverage for complete protection of the lens? Alternatives?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Have a good!

    Karren

I recently bought a 300 f2.8 L IS used and it came with the Don Zeck lens cap & I learned since it is a very well respected Cape. On another forum, I belong to the Hoodies were also highly recommended & so were coats of lens & considering I bought the objective value, I bought both. On what style of lens coat ruled on the most difficult part for me but finally I went for the camo style. It protects the majority of the lens, but not all of it, but as someone who respects his material, but who uses it also as expected that I am satisfied with the additional protection for a dollar. A recommendation on the hood was to remove the drive which makes forward rigid IF you think that you would take your goal (& maybe with your camera) on the front of the lens hood. In this way there is no risk that it is not sitting on the floor.

  • Qosmio G30 with 2 GB of RAM is out of memory when I open certain programs

Hi, the problem starts slowly. Initially some functions in the programs are not available, then I don't see the taskbar and I can only pass directly through programs.

Finally, the first program says 'insufficient memory' or simply disappears without a trace. Is anyone else experienced this problem?

    Thank you for any suspicion.

    Hello

Maybe you have a virus or something like a Trojan horse, which takes memory and does not come back. I suggest the following:

    1. install the latest version of the anti-virus software and the new malware Remover
2 remove all the software useless and superfluous, even if you think it might be useful.
    3. check if you get the same error
    4. If so, back up all your important data and restore your system. Install after recovering from the latest antivirus software and the new malware remover, then
step by step all the software you need. The same error return after each test if software installation. #
Otherwise, you are lucky and should not help yet ;)
If the problem remains, then give some feedback and we will dig more... :)

  • SLR/DSLR EOS lens compatibility

I have several goals that were used with model Canon EOS 750 photo 35mm film SLRs. These lenses will work with all current Canon EOS DSLR models (or models of digital SLR cameras is no longer produced, but I might be able to buy used)?

    Thank you.

Since your previous camera was a 35mm film camera he used lenses that produce a large enough 'circle image' inside the housing of the device.   The image had to be large enough to completely cover the image of 35mm film.

On a digital camera, a 'full frame' sensor body (for example a 6 d, 5 d or more bodies 1 d) have sensors that are the size of a 35 mm negative film image.

The lenses that project this image circle large suitable for use on any camera EOS 35mm or camera ' film' 'digital' full frame EOS are called "EF" series lenses (they are always "EOS" lenses... but they have a prefix of model... as 'EF 50 mm f/1.4 USM' - notice the "EF" in front of the name.)

Canon EOS series "EF" lenses can be used on ANY Canon "EOS" body - that it's a movie or a digital body and the functions will not work.  for example if it's an autofocus lens so the autofocus will not work.  The camera will be able to control the aperture settings, etc.  You can consider these "EF" lenses as being universal in all EOS bodies.

But there is another sensor size which is extremely frequent.

All cameras series 'Rebel', as well as all the cameras of intermediate level (20 d, 30 d, 40 d, 50 d, 60 d and 70 d) as well as the 7 d, all use of "APS - C" sized sensors.  This sensor is about the size of a single image of "Advanced Photo System" - Classic film of size, which is a little smaller than 35mm film.   The sensor is smaller, they have the ability to use a lens that projects a small image circle.

These cameras can use lenses that project a small circle of image because they have a smaller sensor size.  Cannon made a series of lenses for these smaller sensors.  Here's the "EF-S" series lenses  You will know that their name becauase a "EF-S" prefix as "EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 STM" (note the "EF-S" prefix in front of the name).  These lenses are able to take advantage of the cost savings, because lentils do not need to project a large image circle.

While all the organs of "Rebel" and all intermediate level (except the 10 d) agencies may "EF-s lenses", they can ALSO use "EF" lenses (don't forget... "EF" lenses are universal to all Canon EOS bodies).    The 10 d is the only exception, but it is a very old camera and has not been in production for years.

  • The lens compatibility

I found the threads associated with DSLR targets on a DSLR but see nothing on through different models of digital SLR lenses.  If this has already been answered, please direct me to the appropriate thread.

I have an EOS 20 d.  I would like to get some more recent body but don't want to have to get new lenses.  The lenses I have for the 20 d will work on all EOS XXD models?

I'll throw in a warning that was not mentioned.

IF you have 3rd party... lenses turns that Canon does not publish specifications for the electronics of the EOS.  These 3 parties have reconstitute the interface in order to build a compatible lens.  They tend to test these lenses with any Canon body are currently on the market at that time.

Just sometimes... Canon will come out with a new body of EOS and the 3rd part of goal maker (and it's customers, unfortunately) will discover that the lens is no longer compatible with the 'new' body.  Canon has nothing wrong... they are still following the same features... but it means work the 3rd party reverse-eningeering na not cover all cases and the new camera is taking advantage of certain features that the 3rd party never tested.  Some 3rd party lenses one be returned to manufacturers to have their electronics reprogrammed or updated for compatible (but not always... sometimes you are just out of luck.)

If you have all the glass cannon... you won't have this problem.

As to the compatibility of Canon...

Canon lenses come in the following flavors:

EF lenses: these lenses will work on ALL Canon EOS body... few matter where it was made, film or digital, is not serious.  They work.

EF-S-objectives: these lenses are designed for use on the body of EOS who have APS - C size sensors.  The APS - C sensor is a little smaller than the 'full frame' sensor (it is a sensor that is roughly the same size as a single image on 35mm film).  A sensor APS - C being physically smaller, the EF-S lens is designed to project a small circle of image into the body of the camera. This allows the lenses to be smaller and lighter, and usually also less expensive... but the tradeoff is that they cannot be used on any camera body that has a 'full frame' sensor

EF - M lenses: Canon introduced (and seems to have already abandoned, at least in North American markets) a camera 'mirrorless' in the EOS System.  This camera was called the EOS - M.  You can not buy more.  But in all cases, the came with just a couple of lenses designed JUST for this particular camera body (but the camera can also use other EOS lenses.)  The EF - M lenses can ONLY be used on the EOS - M body.

The TS-E objectives: these are specialty lenses that can change image perspective as well as the focal plane of inclination.  You can think of them as the "EF" lenses, they can be used on ANY Canon EOS body.

MP-E objective: it is a 'photo macro' specialized goal.  Canon made a number of macro lenses.  A macro lens allows including close close focus and most of the 'real' macro lenses will allow you to focus at a distance close enough to provide 1 x scale - which means that the image on the sensor is too great that the topic is in "real life."  But with a normal macro lens, you can also focus all the way to infinity.  The MP-E 65mm is special... it's "closer" focus distance is so incredibly close he can capture subjects at 5 x size (instead of size 1 x of the other macro lenses).  But the trade-off is that the lens focuses all the way to the 'infinite '.   No other camera company made a lens like him.  The MP-E lens can be used on ANY Canon EOS body.

  • Printer with windows 8.1 compatibility

My Bank Web site allows me to view and print images of my canceled checks. When I was running Windows 7 on my LaserJet 1020 has worked very well. But with Windows 8.1 it wouldn't print the images themselves - only two empty boxes and the surrounding text. I then bought a new HP LaserJet Pro P 1102w having been said it was compatible with Windows 8.1. Now, I have exactly the same problem with the new printer. I don't have this problem when I attach my laptop running Windows 7 on the new printer. Everything I print. I short, I don't think that my new printer is fully compatible with Windows 8.1. I could not download "Full solution" to HP. How can I get it on a CD?

    Hi Flyfish66,

The most likely problem in the browser that you use with Windows 8. It's probably a different version of when you were using Windows 7.

What browser do you use? AOL?

Try using a different browser to see if have the same results. (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer)

Using another browser other AOL then, when you download the drivers.

If you are able to print with the different browser, please contact AOL support for assistance in using this browser.

    Thank you.

  • The zoom lens compatibility

I have an EOS REBEL G and want to know if a vivitar 75-205 macro zoom lens 22005946 No. is going to work on it.

If you are looking at a manual focus zoom Vivitar 75-205mm F3. 8 - f4.8... This was done for the old Canon FD lens mount used on FTb, AE-1, a-1, F-1, etc. of the cameras... Serial number #22xxxxxxx you mention strongly suggests he is a FD lens, made by Kiron for Vivitar. If this is the case, it's probably a very nice lens, but...

No, which cannot be used on any EOS camera (film or digital). These all use the modern EF mount.

I did a search and did not find any Vivitar 75-205mm in the modern mount. So I think that what you're watching is the old FD mount and the answer is 'no' (this is probably why it's so cheap).

EDIT: there is a 75-300mm lens Canon EF that sells expensive and will work on a g of rebels. It is not the best lens optically or for general performance, but it is one of the lowest cost since this seems to be your biggest concern. This can be purchased for as little as $115 (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-EF-III-Telephoto-Packaging/dp/B00GEE8I1Y/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=13910997...). You might be able to find it for less used.
