  How you get a protection password for FTP for all of our time real targets is to lock the controller configuration and the configuration of the assign a password. This is done by right-clicking on the smart camera to the MAX on remote systems and selecting "Lock". Once the RT controller has a password will not allow you to FTP it unless the password is entered correctly.   177 x series devices, s partial scan is not supported in this sense that the acquisition of a smaller image size does not increase the rate that the sensor can be acquired from. You can change the AOI and capture a smaller image, but the maximum frame rate do not go faster. Since these new models have sensors much faster (faster or almost as quickly to full frame as the previous generation was partial scanning), the need for partial scan should be significantly reduced. If the problem is just flow to image processing, you can of course always capture a smaller AOI which will reduce the amount of data entered.

• Four cameras to inspect the label presence / Date / batch Code

  We intend to use four color cameras (more probably Firewire) to inspect the right label presence (attached image), Date / batch Code (most likely a match and no OCR/OCV), liquid level and presence of Cap. The speed of the conveyor is 240 bottles per minute (ongoing). As the bottles are rotating, there is no fixed orientation of the label. Thus, we intend to capture 4 frames on each trigger, to assemble and to inspect for a suitable Date and batch number, correct label, liquid level and correct the blockage. Good level of liquid is always above the label, so it shouldn't be a problem.

  We need a software / hardware recommendations for the cost of work effectively. For example, can VBAI as well as NI EVS-1464RT work for this application, or do we need to Labview and the Vision Development Module? We have the best price / performance for this application.

  Any comments / suggestion should be highly appreciated.

  Dear Faisal,

  VBAI does not include the steps to assemble the images, I suggest you LabVIEW and the Vision Development Module development.  If you want to use the EVS-1464RT, you will also need a copy of LabVIEW RT.  Note: the Vision Development Module can be purchase as a bundle with LabVIEW RT, see http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/207699.

  Another way to achieve your goal of a 360 degree view of the bottle would be to use a lens Opto pericentrique Engineering, see http://www.opto-engineering.com/pericentric-lenses.html.  This would allow you to use a camera.

• VBAI: Fire a pulse each msec N based on the State of inspection

  The delay function VBAI seems to have the functionality I'm looking for, but that is so rude that the time is 1 second minimum.

  I have a camera intelligent (1772). I do an OCR inspection that could take a variable quantity a little time. I would like an ejector will trigger if the inspection fails. The ejector must fire on a set amount of time after which the camera fires. If I can't do reliable, so I need another controller in the system that I should not need because the camera smart shoulkd be more than enough. I know it can be done in the RT, but I like to keep things in VBAI to facilitate customer training.

  Sequence of operations:

  1. travel less than 1772 on a conveyor parts

  2 sensor triggers 1772 when a part is present

  3 image is acquired and processed. OCR inspection

  4. If the OCR inspection fails, the output pulse fire exactly 100 (for example) milliseconds after the onset of step 2

  5. Repeat step 2

  No idea how to achieve this in VBAI?

  You might have a step to generate impulses before your acquisition where the impulse is configured to generate a pulse based on a trigger (so set up a continuous pulse and you wire trigger for acquisition to an ISO so input line that will trigger the output). Now, this is the important part... you must ensure that your treatment is carried out before 100ms or some delay that you specify or the pulse will begin. If you determine that you need not pulse according to your treatment, the transition to a State where stop you a generation of pulses on this line to stop it before that happens. In both cases, passage to the final State, and then the inspection can start again with the State which has run impulses/Acquire/processes and therefore the pulse reconfigure again for the next part.

  If this does not work for you, then you can try a timed SW approach. You might have a running LabVIEW step that gets a precise timer value during the acquisition stage ends, and another VI call waiting for a specified duration user (millisecond resolution) before it continues.

  I recommend the first option because it will be hardware timed (but requires additional cables), and if it does not, I can help you with a VI that will make the timed SW the desired behavior.

  The open inspection VBAI is a session to a VBAI engine. If you want to perform the inspection on your PC, use the launch room. engine VBAI VI to start a local VBAI engine, then use the VI VBAI to connect to connect to the engine and then you can load inspections, run them and retrieve images of results. See the example for navigation in your VBAI under the API examples/LabVIEW directory. You will need to have an inspection already registered using the ordinary VBAI executable. Make sure that the executable file is closed before you try to use the inspection with the LabVIEW API because a process can use the camera at the same time.

  I have download the Karspersky antivirus 2009 and I install on my Toshiba Satellite A200-gs1 psaece
  He acknowledged the cec_main.exe as virus and block...
  I put it in the exclusion list, it does not continue the works, and when I started my laptop it said «cannot run cec_main.exe...» ».

  I remove the program and install it again I ve put again to the exclusion list.
  Now it's the turn of say on your camera when I m running my cam program.
  I put t know what I should do...

  Here is the cure:
  Probably a good idea to go to Toshiba and download the latest version of the software for the camera to your computer. Do not open this software. Go to the control panel and remove the existing camera Assistant software. Open the Kaspersky software and click settings then click threats and exclusions under the Options tab. Click on the zone of confidence. Click on approved Applications. If CEC_MAIN.exe exists, delete it. Restart the computer.
  May be a good idea to delete your internet cable because we do a right-click on the Kaspersky shortcut and click PROTECTION of PAUSE. This is a must! Probably best to set for a 10 minute break. Close this menu and then open Kaspersky. Go to settings > threats and Exclusions > Trusted Zones > objects > Add + > and type in manually or copy and paste the following text exactly as shown below:

  C:\Program Camera Assistant Software for Toshiba\CEC_MAIN.exe

  exclusionary rules, to allow CEC_Main.exe to be a trusted application. Then reinstall the software assistant camera. Kaspersky should always be in pause mode, but will let you know maybe CEC_MAIN.exe to contain a virus.
  Ignore, but look for the option on this same screen that will allow you to add this as a trusted application. It's the key to this... Kaspersky should be paused during the reinstallation of the software. Once you tell Kaspersky to add this as a trusted application, your installation should be completed. REBOOT and the problem is over.

  but I have a huge doubt before buying, the camera of menttioned above is not anywhere in this list. Nor can I see any type being supported USB device.

  The question is

  1. is a camera regardless of the interface is available for use with the LabView interface?
  2. Can I build a VI to communicate with any device image and recording of camera and take the data?

  Any kind of help or advice is greatly appreciated... I have to buy a CMOS camera and begin to run.

  I am pleased that this information has been useful, one thing I wanted to mention is that USB 3.0 has its own standard USB 3.0 Vision which is currently not supported. If this camera is also Direct Show compatible then you will be able to acquire an image using IMAQdx and manipulate all the attributes that are published to the API Live Show.

  I hope that USB 3.0 Vision will be supported in the near future, and we tentatively announced for this standard of communication for the August 2013 Vision Acquisition Softwareupdate.

  to do this. Is it possible to use information from several cameras to Vision Builder or do I have to use several constructors of Vision at the same time? Are there

  Certainly, Vision Builder AI can handle the acquisition of several cameras. If you trigger the cameras, the software can process even the images that have been acquired at the same time (although sequential processing steps, the step of acquiring image can be synchronized with other CQI steps if necessary for your application).
