Camera Tracker error

First sequence 1080 p Pro with 4 K, sent in After Effects 3D Camera Tracker, images get error 'size layer must match Composition and use default values for transformation'

Here are the steps:

  1. Import images 4 K in Premiere Pro CC 2015
  2. Create a sequence of 1080 p
  3. Insert multiple clips of 4K, but maintain the 1080 p sequence
  4. The effect control knobs to set the scale somewhere between 60% and 70%
  5. Do a lot of color settings in the Lumetri Panel
  6. Select only one item in the sequence of 1080 p, and then select file/Adobe Dynamic Link / replace with After Effects Composition
  7. In after effects CC 2015, select camera Animation/approach
  8. Wait patiently as the 3D camera Tracker analysis my images.  It is remarkably slow on my 4K images.
  9. After EI is made to analyze my images, I get a red error band that says: "3D Camera Tracker: size of layer must match Composition and use default values for transformation."

When I select the Composition settings / AE, it is said that the composition is 1920 x 1080 to 23.976 fps, which corresponds to the Premiere Pro sequence.  But when I select the layer and select layer settings /, it is grayed out for some reason any.  So as far as I know, the size of the layer is the composition

I think my problem is the 4K images that I inserted into my 1080 p sequence.  Does make sense?  And if so, how can I work around it?

Thank you

Select the footage in the timeline panel, then go to layer > Pre-compose. Make sure that you check the button that says move all the attributes of the new publication, this will create a new publication using your footage. Now apply Tracker camera to the pre composed in the original timeline layer.

When you have a basic question, you must type a few keywords in the search help field in the upper right of the AE. You can find more information.

Have you collaps transformations lighting to your layer of film? If so, try to turn it off and see what happens. Otherwise, we're going to need some information and perhaps some screenshots.

  • Incorrect tracking object 3D camera track

    Track of the camera works!

However, I have a problem that I hope you can help with.  I try a video to a null of parents object but it does not instead the video tracks a person moving in the shot for some weird reason, even when the parent is set to 'none '.   It works quite well when I create a solid or a text.  I feel like there must be something very simple that I'm missing.

    Thank you!

This does not sound like a glitch, it sounds like user error caused by small misunderstanding of the works of the tracking camera. The only thing the camera tracker adds to keyframes are the camera. It calculates the angle of view, the camera position and camera movements. When you take markers they need to be in the same plane as the object in the scene. For example, if you had a few markers followed on an object that was 4 feet in front of the camera and a few other markers on an object that was 20 feet from the camera and allowing you this markers to add a solid and a solid camera wouldn't fit to objects in the scene, it would float between them and probably look a little weird. Also be careful of lens distortion because the AE camera is ideal. Camera, followed by a GoPro without removed fisheye can give you a good track in the center of the image, but that objects move to the edge track fail because the lens distortion. For shots with a lot of lens distortion, you must remove it first, before dialing or to make a DI (digital intermediate) and then a camera follow still images.

There is no difference between adding a null value or adding a text layer or a solid. If you have chosen and positioned your target a 3D layer will be added to the stage and he will stick to the surface you have chosen. Parenting something to a value of null or anything else added to the scene with the Tracker of the camera do not put that object in the right place in the scene. Only use real parents when you set up your scene would be to add a new 3D layer and then hold down the SHIFT key while you the parent to the layer (your null) so that it fits the right position in 3D space. If you want to move in the scene, you need to move in the space X Y or Z in the new position, keeping in mind the positioning of the layer, as if she was in front of the camera.

    I hope this helps.

I have this camera 3d tracking error message pop up every time I try to use in After Effects 3D camera tracker, it says Tracker 3D camera: use only in the Panel composition, how can I solve this

You put your film in a publication, make sure that you are in the publication, then use the 3D tracker. You do not try and apply the 3D film tracker in the footage Panel.

When sharing my project there are some clips that show a red screen with a camera saying error. How can I solve these clips if I can share the project correctly?

This happens usually when the import process was not completed. If you have the original camera card - or a copy of the computer of the map - you can probably use the re-import command (on the file menu) to fix things. In addition, it is possible that the original media is imported, but this transcoding was not. If you have chosen to optimise upon import, try to select clips in the browser and transcoding to optimized.

  • "Camera connection error" on windows vista

former title: uploading Photos when Vista does not recognize the driver.

I have a camera 100K 5 years, that comes to be unpacked nine (a gift of 'Which' publications), but have been thwarted by uploading the photos because it seems that Vista does not recognize the driver. It says "camera connection error"? The camera operating manual explains how to work around the problem of "Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP & Windows 2000."  Windows Vista was not around at the time so no explanation is provided in the user manual.

Could there be a solution that doesn't involve my purchase of another digital camera?

The manufacturer of the device writes the drivers, not Microsoft.

It would be best if you contact the manufacturer of the camera and ask them a solution to this issue.

  • Help with camera Tracker

I used the camera Tracker on my video, but I'm not able to select one of the points tracker after he was done analyze. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Don't turn not on 'Restore Points' - it's just in order to make points on the video so that they will be visible on your exported film and you don't want that. I think that your layer of controls is disabled. Select them on turning this switch

or click on display-> show layer controls.

  • points of missing 3D - after effects CC camera Tracker

The spectator is in the active view.  effect of 3D camera Tracker and track are both selected.  The points appear if followed rendering box is checked.  There is no possibility to select points or interact with them.   In the same project file, it worked before... now, the points are not appearing in these compositions.  Is the recent update, causing problems?  We have already deleted and re-imported the track, we reset the track camera 3d effect.  We also tried on two different computers.  Help, please!

If AE is updated and you have not hidden the layer controls (check the view menu), it should work.

  • When you use the 3D camera tracker, how can I insert an image instead of / on top of a solid?

I'm just learning how to use the 3D camera Tracker feature.  I wanted to show what would look like a development project proposed along the coast and managed to get four cubes, representing four houses, appears in this video:

Save our shores Gloucester: the back Shore, now with Mr Court! -YouTube

Each of these cubes consists of four solid singles.  Effective, but not realistic.

I would now like to do a similar thing for another construction project.  But for this project, the developer has some renderings of high quality that will look like the building, and I would like to insert these images in my video, rather than repeat my cubes of Day - Glo.

I can't find a tutorial that shows how to do this, maybe because I did not come to the expression of right to describe.

    How can I achieve this?

    Thanks in advance.

Just add your solids as placeholders and then add the image to the model and make the 3D layer. Now, hold down the SHIFT key and make the solid placeholder the parent layer of the 3D image. Now the SHIFT key will skip the image layer to the exact position of the solid. Then, simply adjust the rotation and scale. Then you remove the placeholder in parenting will disappear.

  • Limited duration or camera Tracker data?

    Hi all

I am tracking a bunch of clips of a forklift moving forward (and shooting forward) at a constant speed. It's pretty simple things for the tracker to work and it usually does a great job but when clips spend about 1.5 minutes they start to fail to solve. If I break the clips into smaller pieces of round a minute individuals very solves well but split and re - sting long tongs are a huge pain in the proverbial.

Is there some sort of lasting or a limit of aggregate data with camera tracker?

no work around crafty to make alignment world 3d when re - sting?

I use CC15 and clips are all 4K.

    see you soon... /JL

Resolve this kind of things can be as complex as the calculations of raytracing in a 3D rendering engine, then chances are that you are indeed short of resources. Have you tried using a lower version of res and tracking who? Give or take specific FOV and a jitter of questions it should work and always aligned on the original film.

  • 3D Camera Tracker works, but only in 'camera 3D Tracker' no mode not "Camera Active" mode?

Here's the preview of this weird problem. (BTW, I use after effects CC 2014 on Mac OS 10.9.5.)

Step 1: Download this clip stock in the new model.

Step 2: Time reverse the clip, since that's the shot I'm looking for.

Step 3: Apply '3D Camera Tracker' and wait for analysis and camera to solve.

Step 4: Confirm a good track and choose an area target between 3 points

Step5: right click and select 'create text and Camera '.

-SO FAR SO GOOD, BUT THEN... -

Text element appears in a bad position (elsewhere in the model, many pixels away) and is not properly locked to background images, but rather floats above him like a normal 2D layer. However, if I change my display in the window of the model of "Caméra Active" now available "3D Tracker camera" view, everything looks good. I can then add other elements (text, sound, models 3D using the plugin video clip of the first officer, etc.) and they work all as expected- but only when you view the view model 'camera Tracker 3D. " Of course, if I try to, it makes on what sees the camera activates, which seems wrong.

This is the strange thing. Analysis, camera fix, etc. all seem to work well. But if I can only display it correctly in the view 'camera 3D Tracker' and not 'Active camera', then I am not able to make out successfully. I tried different tutorials on the subject and able to successfully replicate for example this one, without running into the weirdness of the Active camera. On my computer, it's a different story. Thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks again, Todd.  I have found a workaround and Walter Soyka simultaneously ID had the problem - set up, they seem to be a bug in AE when followed 3D clips time-reversed.  Easy enough to fix once identified and hopefully fixable in future app updates.  Details here:
