+ I have a solution... the disc that came with the camaera a Arcsoft Media Convertor on that. The instructions are useless, but after watching carefully I ddiscovered 'profile 2' takes the S20 files and converts them to .mov format. You can set it to monitor the directory where you put the video files so that it starts the conversion as soon as they are here. The converted output can then be loaded where you want. +

  • Why are there no sound on some of my downloaded on Windows Live Movie Maker avi files?

Using Windows Live Movie Maker for the first time (already used Windows Movie Maker) and have added a number of clips from my computer, all the files AVI, taken on the same camcorder. When I go to change about half have sound and the other half have no sound. Volume on my computer and WLMM is high for all the clips but makes no difference. Have tried to remove one of the clips, no sound and add it back, but makes no difference. All clips will play direct using media files Media Player, but those with no sound have also no sound if I open it with Windows Media Player.

    Really frustrating!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your reply.

I've updated everything is available in Windows Update - although there is nothing specific to sound. It made no difference.

I also checked HP for updates - but none was necessary.

After doing some googling more, I downloaded the K-lite codec pack which fortunately solved the problem in Windows Media Player. Although he did not no difference for WLMM - so now posted a request in this forum - fingers crossed!

    Thanks again

  • Camileo H20 - registered file types

Hello to all on the forum! : D

I will be short and explain my problem: I bought a Camileo H20 in the month of August, which would eventually be sent back cause in 1080 p resolution, you could see a white pixel... This camera recorded videos. MOV files, so at first I was a little discouraged because if you want to edit the video, the conversion. AVI was inevitable!

After obtaining the replacement unit, I realized happily that the output of this H20 was in. AVI format... BOTH PIS NO DECODER CANNOT READ THE AVI AS THEY ARE! Now, there are times that I wish I had the. Back MOV files, it is absurd that software can understand it's an AVI... Including EACH converter video I found and tested more than all the big guns like Vegas, first, after effects etc etc.
I know that many of you guys have the same problem of the view do not decode properly, so we have to do something big and get an official response from Toshiba on a solution or something!

Only solution I found is to encode the. AVI to Avi uncompressed using Adobe Media Encoder CS4 (which uses the ffdshow in my PC, but it is the only combination/decoder software that works well, other programs seem a little 'duplicate' the video during the encoding of what makes a mess) BUT this solution produces unwanted black borders to the output video (not even had any idea why these boundaries exist and I can not make disappear in any way)...

If anyone has a solution or something that could help I would be grateful! (Again, maybe an * official * response would be great, because it's really strange that NO software can read this cursed AVI correctly, and I'm not the only one dealing with this serious problem)
    Thanks for your time, everyone!

    Hello

I really put t understand what your problem is you say something about NO software can understand it's an AVI
I m using a small player, free VLC player called.
This player supports almost all possible file formats and plays avi as well.

In addition, there is a great free conversion tool called; "SUPER".
You can convert almost all possible file formats perhaps you should check it too

  • No sound save avi files using the Camileo S20

    Hi all

I got the s20 Thursday and it was a nightmare. Before his departure, I couldn't work in Movie Edit Pro or sony vegas video files.
It has not yet worked in the Arcsoft software that comes with it.

I tried it on three different computers and it continues to view with no audio signal upward.
I tried all the codecs you can think of and none of them worked. Now, I hear no sound even when I play on the S20.
I didn't really now what to do. I have two other hd camcorders and they work fine on my computer.

I had to reformat my computer as the codecs it had messed up. If I had my way, I would send back and be done with it, but I have to wait until tomorrow before I can call this number that was given to me.

What I want to know is:
Y at - it somehow I get the avi files to work in sony vegas and movie edit pro 15 more?

Any help or advice would be welcome.

    Thank you

    > Is there anyway I can get the avi files in sony vegas and movie edit pro 15

As much as I know the S20 creates h264 encoded videos.
This means that you the codex H264 in order to get the video and audio on your laptop.
I can't say anything about the sony vegas and movie edit pro software because I don t use it.
But I edited my videos using the common windows movie maker and everything was ok.

Might be interesting to try to convert the .avi files to the

  • Windows DVD Maker Gets the error with a .avi file - the file C:\\...avi is not valid or is corrupted.

I try to use Windows DVD Maker and copy/convert a file .avi on a DVD and get the following error message when I try to add a .avi file to the queue.  I tried this on multiple .avi files:

The C:\\...avi file is not valid or is corrupted.

Also, I must stress that I have no problem looking at one/play the file on my computer, so I don't think that the file itself is really corrupted.

I have not downloaded another software to help 'fix' this problem.

    Hello

    ·        Have you been able to import before avi files to your Windows movie maker and the creation of DVD?

    ·        You are able to import another file without any problem format?

Try to import another file type (format) and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

Damaged codec is often a cause of crashes with Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker.

If possible, use a program to convert your Windows Media movies first and then try to import it.

    Step 2:

If the movie maker was working properly before, I suggest you to reset the windows movie maker settings. Follow the steps in the article mentioned below.

  • Can't make a dvd of multimedia from a file in DVD Maker .avi

I struggled for days. I bought an Insignia digital camcorder and use a card to camera 4 meg for storage memory. All I want to do is import a file from my camera and make a DVD from the file that anyone can stick to their DVD player and watch it on TV. When I try to import the creator of the file said DVD the file is either corrupt or is of the wrong type. I did the DVD by other methods which play on my computers okay but a home dvd player can't read the files. Please help and put an end to my misery. This must be a simple process but of course I did hard.

    Hello, pcbeach

Please use the Forum for answers!

You have installed the software for your camcorder?
Are you able to play the AVI with Windows Media Player?

If you are not able to play the AVI file, you probably need to install the codec/software suitable for your camera.

There is a video on the following Windows Help link which will guide you through the steps to create a DVD using Windows DVD Maker: Demo: create a DVD-video disc.

  • Windows Movie Maker do not accept avi files

I downloaded Windows Movie Maker 2.6, because it is compatible with Windows 7. This worked perfectly first freezing then began after a while. When I tried to work on a video recently, nothing would download to my collections audio tracks but when I tried to download avi files. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but also to repair but nothing works. I struggled with the program for a week. Can I do to solve this problem?

There are many types of files .avi and many if not most
have problems of compatibility with Movie Maker.

Which version of Win 7 are you running?

I was wondering why you use Movie Maker 2.6
instead of Windows Live Movie Maker?

What is the duration of these .avi files? (large complex
    projects can cause siiues)

Have you tried to convert the .avi files to .wmv format
before you import into Movie Maker?

In Movie Maker... it may be worth trying to go to... Tools /.
Options / Compatibility tab and disable all filters / OK.

Failure to improve the question... go to Tools / Options /.
Left and the Compatibility tab, click on the 'all the default settings.

  • New to CS4 - cannot preview or make Xvid .avi files? Help, please!

Yo!  I'm sure that these problems have a simple cause and solution, but it's been over a decade that I used latest creation, and now I'm completely lost.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm working with images timelapse compiled into VirtualDub and compressed using the latest build of Xvid.  When I import these .avi files and try to rub in the source window, first works without problem, but the video does not play.  When I move the clips to the timeline, the nasty red line indicates that they are to be rendered.  However, after, they display the same behavior in the output pane.  Cursors move, but the clips are stuck on the first picture!

By the way, is it typical for first having to restore a .jpeg file in order to work with it?  This is the case with me.

If anyone can help me with this, it will save me a lot of disappointment.  Thanks for the research!

PS - Oh and my basic system profile:

    Windows 7 RC

    E8200 Core2Duo, 2.66 Ghz

    4gig Ram

    9600 GT GFX card

I wonder why you don't have DV - AVI Type II as a choice. Is this a limitation of VirtualDub?

If you want quality, then no compressed will be the best of your choice here, but with the giant files. Look at adding to your system, but perhaps Lagarith as MS DV, VirtualDub CODEC will not see?

Second choice would be MS Video 1, but you may experience OOS issues.

    Good luck

  • Camileo H20 - sounds like a disc inside

    Hello
    can anyone help please?

My fairly new camileo h20 does not work and I can hear what sounds like a disc inside clicking during charging.

It stopped working during the filming of a very special moment, so not too happy about it. Even less happy about the fact that we can not find the reception and also a little irritated that I cannt find a troubleshooting section as the full manual is on a disk.
My pc will not read the discs (well Yes, you have guessed a toshiba...).

If someone could please take a look at the manual and make some suggestions, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

    Hello

S manuals for your camera you will find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_manuals.jsp?service=EU&banner_id=DISCONTI NUED_DOWNLOAD_ARCHIVE
Download and watch inside if you can find something interesting.

Unfortunately, I don't have this camera and I can't help you with this, but you can contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for help. Make a call, explain the situation and hopefully, they will be able to help you.
