• How can I filter the noises of thermocouple using a TC-2095 and SCXI - 1102c?

  I currently have four TC - 2095 s connected to the SCXI - 1102c inside an SCXI-1001 chassis cards. These thermocouples are floating and I get a good amount of noise (400 Hz 3 phases and same 60 Hz noise) when we turn on some equipment such as fans, and fans. Using this current set up, how can I filter the noise? Or I would need to put in place a new hardware configuration (e.g., the SCXI-1102 cards)?

  Hi RALoo,

  The 1102 C has a lowpass filter with a cutoff at 10 kHz frequency, so you will not be able to filter into the material with your current configuration.

  Your first option is to use a software filter.  LabVIEW has several functions that do this. More information can be found here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvanls/filter_vis/

  The second option would be to change to SCXI 1102 cards as you suggest.  The low-pass filter of the 1102 was a cut-off adjustable to 2 Hz frequency, which will stop the noise of 400 and 60 Hz don't affect your readings.

• The measure of multi-lane thermocouple simultaneously via 9213 (with USB 9171)

  I'm just back in Labview after 10-year absence.  My first goal is to measure thermocouples of Type J and T with a 9213.  A 9213, 16 channels, but the screw example I found so far allow only a channel be selected at a time.  Ideally, it would be good to have the option to select among the 16 tracks to read at some point (that is, any combination of 1 to 16 and channels jump if necessary).

  Secondly, multiple channels for simultaneous playback selection will affect the sampling frequency?  For example, if 10 samples can be read per second, and selects 16 channels, does it take 1.6 seconds for all read?  And what happens if I put the sampling rate of 1 second in the previous example?  It keep track of cycles "planned" and keep running unfinished loops after that I have to stop?

  Thirdly, I don't understand whether it is possible to assign a different thermocouple for each channel type.  Can I combine thermocouples of Type J and T on the same card?  Is the case, then how to set each channel individually?

  Fourth, I met error readings when you select a channel open to the VI for the 9213.  Is this normal?  Ideally I would like to be able to Exchange thermocouples during continous measurement and worry that the program will crash.

  Example of two screws, I found are: "Input.vi Thermocouple - continuous" from the Finder of example of OR.  The other is spent by the sample project "continuous measurement and logging (OR-DAQmx)."

  
  

• How can I move the public folders default location to a new drive?

  I'll put up a brand new machine with Windows 7 pre-installed and a big 500 GB hard drive.  I partitioned the drive into 2 logical drives C: and E:

  Wherever possible I want to store all user data on E: (I know is not possible for all the parameters of the user to move - mores the pity).  I have not yet copied across all the data from my old machine so I just empty folders to play with at the moment.  I moved all the My Documents/pictures/etc files for the e: drive by changing the location in the properties of the folder.

  However, I can't do the same with public folders.  If I right click on the folder, click Properties, then location, it's like I can't change C:\Users\Public\... but it does not change

  No idea why, or how I can get around this?

  This is possible thanks to a Directory junction that can redirect to a new location of the Public folder.

  First create a new folder on E:\ and maybe you want to call it Public.

  Go to Cmd prompt as administrator.

  All copy existing public folders to the new folder created using the command
  Robocopy /MIR %Systemdrive%\Users\Public E:\Public     (or any name that you used for public folders on E :)

  You need robocopy as he takes care of hidden files, etc., especially if you have the recorded TV folder in public folders.

  Once the copy is transferred, you must delete the existing public folder and create a junction in his place. To do this, boot into Safe Mode as an administrator and remove the public content and file inviting again by running Cmd as administrator. To remove the Public folder:

  RmDir /s /q %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Users\Public
  
  After creating the new folder location and remove the existing public folder, now is time to create a Directory junction of audiences with the following folders:

  Mklink /J %Systemdrive%\Users\Public E:\Public                         (or any name you named the folder opublic on E:\)

  for example: mklink /dC:\Users\Public E:\Public   

  Now, all that is intended for the original Public folder gets directed to the new location.

  Windows 7 won't let me edit the security permissions in the folder Documents & settings even with admin privileges, so I can open it with the file.  Any action that I am trying just reminds me of the change owner screen that says I don't have permission to view the access settings.  Never can get to the window to actually change the permissions.  I just did a clean reinstall of the system because of a problem.  Access permissions were no problem until I did the re-install.

  You're not locked: this file does not actually exist in Windows 7.  But backward compatibility to old programs that look for this name, they put a redirect (called a symbolic link) in place.  So, it looks like a folder, but it is not really a record at all.

  Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Jerry

  Windows Vista forward: C:\Users\Jerry

  They were replaced by a smaller folder 'Users' of a single word, but apart from the name change, it's the same folder.  Again once the 'Documents and Settings' you see is not really a file, it's just a redirect of compatibility so old programs that await the long name will not crash when used on Windows Vista/7 from.

  PS. You should not even SEE this redirect normally link, it shows that if you go to Folder Options and turn on the 'display protected system files and folders' and 'display the hidden files and folders '.  That is why the link is kind of ghost and gray, because it is a hidden link junction, not a real folder.

What makes the chain appear in several lines, but not with an "elegant" layout What I want is to control such a "chop" to make it more "user-friendly" as possible... Of course, placing it the chains '\n' is not a valid solution, because it is always dependent on the device.

  I hope my explanation is clear enough... and again sorry if the answer is obvious.

  There is none of these methods. You can do it yourself, of course, but it won't be better, I think that you will have the same boundaries as the method of the rim.

• Can I output the monitor program PremierePro CC (only) to a 2nd video screen?

  I already have (years) used PremierePro on an edition of PC system. At this time, I used a box of cards and small groups of Matrox - it was so easy to put in place a 2nd monitor to display the program output (only).

  I started using new PremierePro (CC version) but this time on an iMac 27 "retina 5 k (max for the ram, processors and graphics functionality). I'd quite like to discover the program output only (or at least mostly) on a 2nd 1080HD video monitor. Is it possible to do? With no junction box, I guess that this cannot be done. Is this fair?  I know I could set up an iMac HDMI output, but that would be out of the whole office. I just want to really take a power of video output (monitor of the program only) rather than the entire desktop. Is it some sort of break Thunderbolt to send with a HDMI or DVi connection, which can display only the monitor program (like those old buttons)?

  Of course the iMac screen 5 k and the video monitor will be quite different devices - so I can't really just the range double configuration screen. A 2nd screen Mac is expensive - and it would be another screen to the retina, 5 k.

  As background information, for now I'm only editing content 1080HD that thus the 2nd monitor should be consistent 1080HD. I have various computer and video monitors available if this configuration is possible. I'm not too concerned about the quality of the image in the 2nd monitor - its more about speed reading to check for sync and motion - changes especicailly when a customer sits the long side (and Yes, I hate too). The iMac 27' is a good size screen, but I'm edition multi channel animation graphics and pictures (no animated videos), it fills the screen fast enough. If I want to program a monitor window half-decent size, I am constantly scrolling and minimization / maximization of the channels that I can see detailed work areas easily.

  If I ask a stupid question here, please don't shoot me :-) As I have said for a while I used the PP, but now I use it everyday - so just going back to it.

  If all you need is a program-monitor output to a second monitor, woudn't integrated two-monitor process work? No, is not the release of calibrated equipment which is often sought for high range editing, but it works for most cases... just have a second monitor mounted on your card system and on the Preferences tab, select it as shown...

  

  Just make sure that your operating system 'sees' your normal monitor as a screen, and then they will appear in this dialog box as your operating system lists them. PrPro always default to sending the output of the program monitor to monitor 2.

  No box necessary engine... and many who have the outboard motor to run a high-end TV, also use it for their treatment of General works.

  Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

  Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

  Settings / Siri / OFF

  As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:
