Can I connect an Imac 24 inch, mid-2007 in Spain American?

I have a 24 inch American mid 2007 Imac, but I just move to Spain and I want to use it here.

THE CORD is BED 125v (it's a small label on the cord) and in Spain, power is 240v, does that mean I need to buy a transformer?

I have only a converter for the plug but not a transformer if I'm afraid to plug it.

Thank you

Yes, you just need an adapter plug that should be available to any airport or the hardware store.

Why my iMac (27 inch, mid 2011) cannot run Windows 10 in boot camp? And if he can't, he would work in something like parallels?

To be honest, Windows 10 is compatible with your Mac, but Apple does not release from Windows 10 drivers for it. There are various guides on the Internet to install the drivers for Boot Camp Windows 10 even if your Mac is not supported, but follow them at your own risk (don't forget that you won't receive help to make).

However, you are free to run Windows 10 on a virtual machine. To do this, you can use Parallels, VMware or VirtualBox, but remember that a virtual machine will give you less performance than Windows natively on your iMac. Read-> Windows in BootCamp or Virtual Machine?

  • Will be my imac 27 inch mid 2010 - support Cuda

Hi, forgive my ignorance here, but basically, as I see after effects CC needs a better ability to the graphics card.

When I start the CC AE, it refers as needed Cuda - to Ray traced rendering.

Now, I have since downloaded Cuda - question is ' will it work with my iMac? (write below)

    * imac 27 inch-mid 2010 - graphics ATI Radeon HD 5670 512 MB

All advice would be greatly appreciated as it seems the Ray Traced rendering is unusable without it, hope I'm wrong

    See you soon,.

    Simon.

You don't want to use the rendering of the traced to the RADIUS. The ray-traced rendering engine is now obsolete. Use Cinema 4 d instead. It's free with AE CC, it makes it faster and it is much more powerful.

  • MacBook can't connect to iMac, iMAC, but can connect to Macbook

I have a problem, I can not get my course around and I need help.  I have an iMAC (2009) and Macbook Pro (2010).  Recently, I upgraded the two systems to El Capitan (both systems run the updates).  Before the upgrade, via file sharing, I was able to connect and read/write to all shared folders and devices connected to my iMAC to my macbook after some tedious tweaking configurations - the largest in realizing that I had to disable SMB and AFP only.  I use the iMAC as a home port and have all my external hard drives attached to the iMAC, and before the upgrade, I could see all the readers (and their scores) as well as all files, I had set up the iMAC to share.  Vice versa for the iMAC for Macbook - I could read/write in all the shared folders on the iMAC Macbook.

After the upgrade to El Capitan, right at the start, the MacBook has emerged as a player immediately shared in the finder and connected without problem.  I can currently read/write of the iMAC on the hard drive of the macbook.

The problem is, the Macbook will connect is more of the devices connected to the iMAC or iMAC.  I've fiddled with settings as much as I can think of, such as disable sharing of files, it reactivated, remove shared folders and add them, check all the settings for all readers shared on the iMAC, etc.  Everything seems to be configured exactly how it was before the upgrade, but for the life of me I can't have the Macbook to connect to iMAC.  In the finder, I see the iMac in the list of shared devices, but it just says: the connection has failed, and when I click on the button "connect as", it returns the following error: "there is a problem connecting to the server"IMAC of Pottsy".  Check the server name or IP address, and then try again.  If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator.  Whenever I click on the button "connect as" it just trying to connect, never offered me a way to enter a user name or password, so I don't know which credentials that it uses at this stage, although I guess they are the same as before the upgrade when everything worked.  I have not changed the passwords for one of the user accounts and the user name and master password on both machines are the same, if that matters.

Does anyone have suggestions as to what might be causing this unit or a possible way to fix?  Recently, I received this iMAC to a friend and was completely in love with the configuration of shared devices and the way everything worked before the upgrade and find this problem.  It allowed me to share a hard drive that is partitioned as a time Machine to the two machines without having to unplug anything, among other things.

In addition, AirDrop does not currently work in both directions which is really weird.  I am able to navigate to the MacBooks HD of the iMAC via devices shared and drag and drop the files, but said dropping "transferred failed" if I try that.

I'd appreciate really no guidance that someone might be able to provide.

    Thank YOU and GOOD VACATION.

Well, I solved my problem after HOURS of madness, it's obviously something so incredibly simple that I could cry.  The MacBook was somehow not connected to iCloud - signature in iCloud enabled the MacBook to connect to the front just like iMAC.  I can't believe it wasn't an error message asking me to sign in iCloud.  I wonder to re-sign in iCloud always for reasons beyond me, and of course, once you done would have saved me countless hours of attempts without meaning, don't ' you must connect in iCloud message appeared.  SMH.

So there you go people, if you are experiencing something similar, make sure that both systems are signed in iCloud.

    PEACE!

  • iPhone and iPad can not connect to iMac

I can't connect my mobile to my iMac using edge inspect. Inspect Edge runs on my machine and in the browser (the icon lights up in the taskbar of Chrome), but when I try and connect my iOS via the Soft Edge devices inspected on each of them, they do not see my iMac and any attempt to use the results of "Manuel Connect" (with any of the 3 IPS listed in the box to the menu of the Chrome plugin) in an error message :

    "Connection failed, please try again."

I have the latest version of iOs and the edge inspect running on my iPhone and iPad applications, OS X 10.8.3, Chrome 26.0.1410.65 with the plugin dashboard inspect inspect running on my iMac and the latest version of the app from edge checking 7682 port is open on my iMac. Inspect edge is shown as allowing incoming connections through my firewall. I tried to restart the Mac, nothing helps.

TL; IND: I have tried everything I can find online to get the app to work, but my devices cannot 'see' my iMac. Can anyone help?

(If it's important, I'm under a BT Home Hub 3.0 for my home network.)

Solved the problem - all I had to do, has been turned off my router. Schoolboy error!

  • iMac 21 inch mid-2010 with OSX 10.9.5 4 GB

Have inherited an inch Imac 21 mid-2010 with OSX 10.9.5 running - I don't know much about Mac computers so no idea if snow leopard etc or what!

This iMac is not iCloud drive available to sync with the latest iPhones etc.

Is it possible to upgrade the operating system on this iMac to run the latest apps & iCloud etc.

Don't really know where to start...

    Thank you

You have OSX Mavericks. The next OS is Yosemite 10.10 and 10.11 El Capitan.

You can upgrade the free OS for Mac by the opening of the App Store on the computer. When you click on "Updates", there is a large window which shows the next OSX update for your computer.

On a computer from 2010, the most recent operating systems may appear slower. It really depends on the State of your hard drive and also the RAM. With 4 GB of RAM, you shouldn't have a problem (every BONE just 2 GB). However, and the older hard drive may have trouble keep in touch with the requirements of the operating system, which makes the computer slower.

The best thing to do is to make a backup of data is installed on the computer, then just go for it. Worse comes to worse you can always restore the computer with the back facing upwards.
