Can I install a 3rd hard drive (SSD) on my desire to Phoenix 800?

Hi, I just bought a Phoenix 800-089 wanted and I was wondering if I could use for an another SSD expansion Bay?

There are already an SSD installed and do not know if the expansion Bay would allow another?

If so, do I need to purchase a support of editing or something else so he can adapt?

Thanks for your help.

The HP ENVY Phoenix 800-089 desktop has space for three 3.5 hard drives "and two optical drives 5.25". Using the adapter rails, you can install a 2.5 SSD "in the third-party hard disk or in the second Bay oprtical Bay. A set of 2.5 "to 3.5" adapter may have been provided with your new SSD. If this isn't the case, any computer and/or electronic store will be available adapters.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Just, I got my new Dell's HARD drive and need to install it in my Dim 9200. Can I use the old hard drive as a backup drive or secondary without deleting anything or reformatting? I have too many things on the old drive and am not crazy about cloning, I prefer to do a clean install of XP and be able to do things more when I feel the need. Is this possible or am I dreaming.

After installing the new drive hard SATA and windows installation, etc. and when it works to your satisfaction, put the 'old' drive as the secondary, transfer all the files and folders you need in the new C: / volume, using the option "send to."  Providing the old hard drive has no problems, then the format and partition the drive for additional storage.

Note. Only files and folders can be transferred, all programs and applications must be reinstalled from their records, or downloaded from the site of the publishers.

  • 750-103D want: I want to install a 3rd HARD drive but the system will not start

Desktop motherboard has 5 heads SATA (of which 2 were used for the first DvD and HARD disk in the original Setup) and the box has 3 bays for HARD drive, but there is no additional power from the PSU cable.

I installed a new SSD as my main and designated record the 1 TB of HARD drive that came with the desktop as my secondary school and office works just great.

Now I tried to install an another 1.5 TB HARD drive for storage. I used a SATA power cable Y (1 male to 2 females) to extend the existing cable. However, to my great disappointment, the system is unable to start up. I guess that supply POWER 300 watts current is insufficient to start 3 disks to a single supply with extension cable.

    Issues related to the:

1] sells HP a 500-watt power supply with power cable for SATA 3 HARD drive?

[2] is a compatible power supply on the market (ie. not HP) who can stand in 750-103D envy? Brand/model and how much?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Probably, you have misunderstood my response.  Unplug the original HD boot drive.

Your question is not the power supply lack of insufficient power.  I have observed remains with HP computers with a power supply that would support three HDs off a 300 Watt SATA power cable voltage.

Perhaps the third HD is formatted incorrectly or is defective.  The other possibility is that your SATA Y cable connection is defective.  You also need good 5V and 12V.  In addition, if you have made any hardware changes to your PC you have not indicated, then it is possible that you may need a bigger power supply.

  • I have a HP Pavilion 500-267C, can I install a second hard drive in this PC?

My turn XP no longer works, but there is some information on the hard drive I want to recover my present

PC uses the Windows 7 operating system. Can my old hard drive be installed in the new HP without ruining the new

computer or the old hard drive?

Yes, implying that the old disks hard XP is in good health.

You can use a USB external hard shore caddy for the old disk or you can directly connect via the SATA port on your motherboard you new computer. 99% of the time there will be connections of additional power from the power supply on your new machine to feed the old drive.

All of this assumes that the old drive is SATA interface _ we IDE, in which case you would need an adapter to connect directly to the new MoBo computers.

I don't think that even though you can check to make sure there is no IDE USB external hard drive caddies.

The top is SATA and the bottom is IDE.

  • The OEM Win XP OS can be installed on a hard drive to another PC to use the OEM PC?

    Hello

I have a problem. My PC has only one hard disk, I could not format a new HD.

I need to rely on someone to get in shape for me.

If I give him my XP OEM installation disc to install this hard drive for the sake of practice, will it work?

If it works, I get this hard drive on my OEM PC and install it to start and use?

Or is it necessary for the installation will take place from the DVD on the PC OEM itself drive after formatting by a third party?

    Thank you

    Low

    Hello

In addition to problems of licenses with the OEM licenses, you cannot install XP on a different computer and then swap disks as bad hardware drivers (motherboard, etc.) would then be included when installing.

"Or is it necessary for installation will take place from the DVD on the PC OEM itself drive after formatting by a third party?"

You don't need to get into shape by a 3rd party.

This should be done during installation

  • HPEh8 - 1360t Desktop - 3rd hard drive

Can I install a 3rd hard drive of my computer desk HPEh8 - 1360t? You have two drives hard and two DVD players. Only 4 connections data cable to the motherboard - see all 4 currently used.  Is it possible to 'double-up' on a data cable connection? Have a connection of additional power.

    From the motherboard page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03132942

I found there are actually 6 SATA ports.  There are two in the face of what I would call back (labeled SATA4 and SATA5)

Check this photo to see if it is the same as yours.

  • Pavilion a6500f: can I use my old hard drive as a second drive to the new I install.

I have a Pavilion a6500f I can access is no longer as he continues to tell me there are registry errors.  My recovery disk (I got a) or do a hard reset or else he will start.  It came with a window that says recovery system or start Windows normally.  I get a new hard drive to it and have a whole new Windows 7 installed.  The thing is that I don't want to lose all my stuff on the old hard drive.  So my question is can I install the OLD hard drive as a second drive to the new?  If I can then I can just copy all the files from the old drive to the new and use the old as a memory drive.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    The simple answer is Yes.

    (1) I would like to replace the hard drive with the same drive size or larger. But does not exceed 2 T.

    (2) I hope you made the original recovery DVD set the original recovery firstly, DVD media DVD + R try as these will save you having to create a driver disk.  If you really have to buy a complete set of recovery, get it here. It will have all the necessary drivers.  Only $27.00

    (3) I copy the files and destroy the old disk. Its usefulness is damaged since 2008.

  • If I do not support until my MBP before installing a new hard drive...

    Very quick question:

If I don't support my hard drive before installing a new hard drive, SSD, the MBP (early 2011) "know" download all the OS X software appropriate and that sort of thing? I guess my question is: is the part of the hard drive of the same hard drive recovery? Or on a separate physical disk.

I don't have a time machine, and it would probably be easier to start from scratch.

    Thank you!

If your computer comes with 10.6.8 or earlier and did not have its updated firmware updated to use Internet Apple system recovery, it is only on the internal drive. Otherwise, separate recovery methods are in the firmware and the drive internal.

Can I install a second hard drive on this computer?

    Hi @wreavesjr!

You can install another HARD drive in the PC because there is a free SATA port.

With regard to the supply cable, if your a more SATA connectors, you can use it to connect the secondary HDD in the system.

Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
