  You can install the software on as many computers as you want.

  However you can activate the software to be used on up to two computers at the same time.

  You can switch power on and off activation via Help > Sign Out (and help > Sign In)

  In other words, you can alternate two activations between three computers according to the computer on which you use both. The software won't let you activate the 3rd until you disable one of the other two.

  You are allowed to have facilities that can be used on both machines.  It is unclear what your question is about also.  If your question remains unanswered it specify and indicate which version of Acrobat you are talking about.

  Applications are not normally removed from any machine after installation on another, the dead in particular.

  If it is a cloud subscription, the subscription might be automatically interrupted for a machine if you enable it on a third computer, but the software is still installed.

  If you have a version of serial number activated, you need to disable on a single machine (of two facilities enabled) before you can activate another installation on a third computer.

  If you're running Windows (which we don't know), you can try to use this tool first remove all traces of your computer:

  Then you can download the complete player offline installer from

  http://get.Adobe.com/reader/Enterprise/

  After downloading, restart your computer and run the Setup program before anything else.

  Based on my understanding that you found mistake of previous uninstall by clicking "Update" to CC Office, despite the UN-installing Acrobat version through the United Nations to the installer, it can be solved as below

  Your earlier version of Acrobat has been installed as part of the suite? If so, please use an installer following the previous version to uninstall Acrobat (if you have already run Acrobat uninstaller of earlier version, you can always use), and then restart the computer to clear the State of the system. (Note: If you have installed a previous version again, please use following UN-install directly and then reboot the machine)

  Ideally, it should solve the problem after restarting the system.

  If your previous version was not part of the suite or just in case you still see uninstall previous installed version error, you may need to use the CC to https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html cleaning tool and restart the system to solve the problem.
