can I reinstall vista without installation disc

Ive lost the installation disc toshiba satellite

Hello

read the information below

How to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

also ask them if you also have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • How can I reinstall items without a disc

I had problems with items 9 and decided to uninstall it.  After doing this, I realized and was upset with myself, that I had downloaded it and do not have the disc.  Is anyway to reinstall?  I'll be really upset with myself, if I have to buy another copy because I don't check this first.  Thanks for any help you can give.

If you have bought from the Adobe store, details are usually available for three years from the date of purchase.

Click on the Red Adobe logo at the top left of this page of the forum.

Then click on My Adobe > my orders

Sign in to your account using your Adobe ID.

Expand your purchase history using the small black triangles to the left of the date of purchase, and if a download is still available for your product it will be shown to the right.

I have only the original vista coded key stuck on the computer when the vista system installed on the purchase of the computer. My daughter was not happy with vista and had someone to install windows 7, which turned out to be an illegal version.

    Hello

If you have a recovery partition likely has been cleared by installing Windows 7.

You can try the recovery partition, no guarantees.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • How can satellite L300-19U - I reinstall Vista without having to work the DVD player?

    Hello

I have a big problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-19U.

1 month ago I installed Windows XP on it and it is now my DVD-ROM is broken, he did not read some CD DVD so I can't use my Vista recovery DVD reinstall Vista. Someone at - it had the same problem?

I heard there is a partition (hiden) where recovery is on it. I'm looking for this partition. And if I find it, I can boot directly from the partition to restore Vista? If not, is there another chance to get it back?

Please help me to reinstall the Vista recovery partition!

    Hello!

The hidden partition you want to say is a feature of Windows Vista, but you can restore t Vista with this partition. The point is that the partition is also deleted because you have installed Windows XP on it.

Restore Vista without recovery disc is possible if Vista is still installed on it. You can go into the advanced boot menu, and then select Repair my computer. Then you can choose the Toshiba HDD recovery option. This is a feature that restores Vista from the second partition.
But like I said is possible with Vista installed.

Just a question: why you n t to a service provider allowed? If your laptop is still under warranty, you should get a new CD/DVD drive for free. Normally it should take only a few days and then you're able to reinstall Vista! :)

  • Satellite L350 - want to reinstall Vista without touching the second partition

    Hi all

I want to reinstall Vista without touching the second partition that is full of data.
I'll be able to do with this procedure? http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm#

The confusing part is when it says in the explanation that the * entire hard drive * will be formatted (step 2) but on one of the photos, it is written that only data on C: will be erased.
I have Satellite L350, and the hard drive recovery process is the same as on the connected tutorial before (I'm not completely obviously)

    Hi amigo

I tested its operation, and from my experience, I can confirm that when you use the HDD recovery procedure as described in the Toshiba document all data saved on the second partition won t be deleted.

Only if you are using recovery DVD (please create a) will be formatted the whole HARD disk.

  • Portege A100 - where can I get an XP installation disc?

    Hello

I received a Portege A100 which has Linux hard disk. It came with no CD - the former owner has none.

It has a Windows XP Pro serial number on the case and I want to reinstall XP Pro. Where can I get the XP installation disc for? Toshiba sell them or give away them? Can I get the drivers from the Toshiba site, but not the XP operating system.

You can try to order the original recovery CD/DVD under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
I just hope that your laptop is not too old. Many people have reported that the order to older models of laptops is not available.
Another solution is to contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer. Maybe they can help with it.

In the end, the last solution is to install own OS by using the original Microsoft installations CD. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba supports the page.
The key in the lower corner belongs to the original recovery image and will not help you with own operating system facilities.

  • Can't reinstall Vista. Because Vista will not get to the Setup screen.

Hi people. Got a prob a little. Vista stopped booting the other night. So, I tried safe mode, and it hung on crcdisk.sys. So, I decided to get in shape. Problem is, it will boot from the DVD, but will not load / access the Setup screen (I waited for 7-8 minutes and nothing's happened, shows just the thing with the green bar).

Not too sure if it's because the hard drive is 1 TB (but Vista was on the same front hdd with Windows 7). I tried to remove the 2 GB of ram (I use 4). No go. Tried another DVD rom, not go. Removed USB devices that have been connected. No go. I know that the DVD itself is fine. I tried on the other PC here, the installation screen came within 2-3 minutes. But his is not a 1 to (its 250 GB) the only DVD that will work / I install is the Windows 7 DVD.  So, how can I reinstall Vista?

I deleted all partitions / recreated with the Win7 installation as well. Still couldn't get Vista to get to the Setup screen

    Any info appreciated

    Thank you

Finally fixed it. I read that USB legacy can also cause this. So, I disabled it. Everything is good. Managed to get to the Setup screen, then reinstall Vista

  • How to create a Vista 64 installation disc, in preparation for a windows 7 UPGRADE?

I'm about to buy a 64-bit Windows 7 UPDATE.  My Toshiba laptop came with a Vista 64 operating system CD.  I know there is a patrician who has this info.

How create a Vista 64 installation disc if (God forbid) I never do a regeneration full of my system?

You must contact the manufacturer of the computer for this procedure - it's their process, not Microsoft.  Procedures vary by manufacturer and sometimes even depending on the model.  The information can be displayed on their Web site, if you are looking for that specific computer - but if available and free, I would just contact support by phone or chat or however and the explanation directly from a human being.  Often only make a set of disks, so don't forget to do things right the first time.

    I hope this helps.
