  Yes, you can get a video card, install and use it.  However, you sure is that the video works is not, or is it possible that the video didn't come out because you have a larger problem as the system's not initialization and display at all, because of a sort of failure such as food or the card mother?

  If you have a spare PSU, you can try exchanging it instead of the original.  If you have a spare video card, even a few old (especially some former) PCI worthless, that you can install to see if you get any screen output.  Note that you need to maybe use the CMOS clear jumper or remove the battery for 10 minutes, while the power supply is disconnected after adding a video card, or by deleting and trying to use the video again.

  I don't know if the specifications of the two Councils are quite similar, you should look at the datasheet for your system and compare that against what ebay sellers asking them is capable of.   Generally if you have a processor socket 775 lines they list and your using the same chipset, you should be able to simply plug in the parts and windows must be able to start pretty far to plug-and-play all the minor differences.  This is the situation in which I expected, you can buy the replacement cards model you mentioned and it works perfectly except possibly having to install a driver or two, but I can't be sure without detailed specifications.  They are very close to the info, I have found, might even be just a 2nd revision of the same Council of PCChips where everything what they changed was a clock IC generator or something similar that would not do your use in any way, except that to be sure, you have the good bios when looking on the HP site for the models with this Council in there instead of the bios for your system model #.   There is no place to buy this decision in a separate part. The only possibility is to find a motherboard nonworking parts on ebay and to transplant the good audio jack on your motherboard, and I don't want to minimize welding skills that will. You'd be very likely to damage the motherboard still more. Your best bet now if you want to use the laptop with a gaming headset is to get a cheap usb sound card and plug it in when you want to listen in private. I guess that the speakers of the laptop still work OK?

  Yes you can. Here's the part you have to do with. Just remove the optical drive, add a hard disk in one of these adapters and replace it for the optical drive:

  You may also need to swap the façade of the old optical disc to make the installation of good look.

  I wouldn't use this for one SSD. An SSD belonged to the main disk space to enjoy the speed. The drive into the optical drive adapter will not be bootable and it will be not given quite as fast as the main hard drive transfer speeds. So if you have a drive in this card, a big (1 TB) and slow (5400 RPM) drive would be preferable. It will be purely for storage and it is still fast enough to see the video of for example but if you are doing video editing I would try not to edit videos from the optical drive Bay. Move them to the fastest reader first.

  Hold down the Alt + Shift; It is Shift that maintains the reference timecode. In addition, this will work only if your proxy clips contains timecode. If they all start to 00:00:00:00, this will not work for you.

• Want to 800-060: reactivation after replacing the motherboard

  I bought a HP Envy 800-060 with Windows 8 pre - install Amazon in July of 2013. It was an incredible computer since that time, and when the free update of Windows 8 for Windows 10, I did immediately released. Recently, however, the motherboard has failed on the computer. It would not stay same POSITION, and after much troubleshooting, I finally decided to replace the motherboard. Now that the computer is running again, I guess that the motherboard change was sufficient for the operating system to think that it is no longer enabled. I was never provided with a key of Activation of OS (Win8 has been pre-installed), and Microsoft has suggested that I contact HP to find the original key. I've looked everywhere on the chassis and inside the tower for a valid Windows activation key, nothing helps. I tried to find a phone number to call for support, but my product is outside the guarantee. I don't need advice or troubleshooting tips (so I don't pay the $59.99), all I need is my activation key valid Windows based on my serial number of the product. Anyone know the best way to achieve HP with this problem and have it is resolved?

  The unfortunate, is that your original product key has been incorporated in the firmware original by HP motherboard UEFI when the PC was built.  There is no way to recover this key now.

  HP retains no record of keys to individualized product corresponding to individual computers, so they won't be able to provide you with the original key - and they are under no obligation to provide you with a SECOND key, that you didn't do the replacement of HP hardware.

  With the product now being out of warranty, it's really call HP or not you upload support - and the experience I have had with older equipment-, they do that, there's just no way around IDs.

  HP customer support is really the only way you have to get support.  If they don't help you for free, because your PC is out of warranty, there is nothing we can do about it on this forum.
