PRE9: How to split a clip into two (or more) videos?
I can't believe that this is so hard to do... But HOW?
Put the CTI (current time marker - the vertical line that moves during playback of the video) where you want the cut. For the excellent work, use the left/right keys to move a frame at a time.
Press [Ctrl + K] or click Split Clip in the monitor window.
Note This creates two 'clips' in the project, but does NOT physically turn your original clip into two separate pieces. You will need external software if you try to physically divide or attach original video files.

Splits the string into two columns to dashboard
Hi all
I got thisworking
decode (SUBSTR (ADDR2_ATTR_1, 1, INSTR(ADDR2_ATTR_1,'-')-1), '9999', NULL, (SUBSTR (ADDR2_ATTR_1, 1, INSTR(ADDR2_ATTR_1,'-')-1))),
decode (SUBSTR (ADDR2_ATTR_1, INSTR (ADDR2_ATTR_1,'-') + 1), '9999', NULL, (SUBSTR (ADDR2_ATTR_1, INSTR(ADDR2_ATTR_1,'-') + 1)))
but the results were a little different.
It came as
Col1 for 8-10 have come beauiful... .but however Col2 data should be in K1 and transferred to Col2
Col1 Col2
< null > 10
< null > 33
8 10
Any guidance is appreciated.Personally, I like the cases, but another way using the DECODE method...
WITH t AS (SELECT '8-10' str FROM DUAL UNION ALL SELECT '163' FROM DUAL UNION ALL SELECT '789' FROM DUAL) SELECT str col1, DECODE (NVL2 (NULLIF (INSTR (str, '-'), 0), 99999, 0),99999, SUBSTR (str, 1, INSTR (str, '-', 1) - 1),str) col2, DECODE (NVL2 (NULLIF (INSTR (str, '-'), 0), 99999, 0),99999, SUBSTR (str, INSTR (str, '-', 1) + 1),NULL) col3 FROM t;
Simplified:
------WITH t AS (SELECT '8-10' str FROM DUAL UNION ALL SELECT '163' FROM DUAL UNION ALL SELECT '789' FROM DUAL) SELECT str col1, DECODE (SIGN (INSTR (str, '-')),1, SUBSTR (str, 1, INSTR (str, '-', 1) - 1),str) col2, DECODE (SIGN (INSTR (str, '-')),1, SUBSTR (str, INSTR (str, '-', 1) + 1), NULL) col3 FROM t;
OUTPUT:
COL1 COL2 COL3 8-10 8 10 163 163 789 789

I am Brazilian and I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC a lot. I would suggest an implementation of features present in the PC, I missed a lot of things on Android, which is 'New window' or something like that, like split the screen into two parts in order to see the two different parts of the same file.
For smartphones, its use is restricted, but for tablets, it can be really useful, because it allows the display of two distinct points of the same file,
I have reduced considerably the use of paper using this application, however, I need to navigate the file always pick up a few points seen earlier, which causes a lot of discomfort compared to printed documents.
This is a suggestion, but I would like it to be considered.
Thank you for your request. We have taken note of the same and must try to integrate it into one of our future releases.
Thank you.

How to split an element in two elements
I am currently working with a logic analyzer that displays data in a 2D array. The problem is the only way I can receive data is very troublesome for the analysis. I would like to separate the data so that each column corresponds to a certain value, that I am able. So what I really have to split a column into two columns. Basically if I,
12345678-12345678
12345678-12345678
12345678-12345678
12345678-12345678
And what I want is:
1234 5678 1234 5678
1234 5678 1234 5678
1234 5678 1234 5678
1234 5678 1234 5678
I've been looking for a solution for a long time, any suggestions?

If you are dealing with types of integers, you can use the split function on the pallet of data Conversion.
Woah... what? That the split function is not going to work. If you have the value of base 10 12345678, split, it will not produce 1234 and 5678. Of course, you could argue that the 10 core values are actually base 16 to make the separation, but that will require a conversion of string, and at this time it's easier to cut the string, like this:

How can I split files by backup to a hard drive?
My camera is the Sony AX33. So, everything is recorded on a memory card.
After recording I still save takes it on a hard drive.
When I open this file I see only one (big) file.
At the moment where I have import this file into FCP X, I see a separated.
My question: is it possible to split the files when importing already (by a back-up) on the hard drive?
If so, I can name or comp files and it takes less time, because I don't have to scan the entire disk.
If I understand correctly, you want to archive only selected parts of a clip. There will be enforcement of the FCP, but you will get the results you need with the third party application, exporting Clip. I don't use it myself, but many others who were not positive reviews.
Good luck

How can I selectively transfer files from an iMac 2009 to a new iMac in 2015? The two running os 10.11.3.
I do it with a G4 OS Tiger and the Mavericks MacBook by plugging into an Ethernet jack on my router and by enabling the sharing of files on the G4 in System Preferences > sharing. If items are placed in a folder called 'Public', it can be read by anyone on the network by logging in as a guest. Otherwise, if I login with my user ID on this computer I get access read/write for all of my folders.

Edit / split Mp3 files into pieces
Hello
My Russian Professor makes nice MP3 files to show the pronunciation of the Russian.
To add who uttered the words in the file of Anki I want to split the MP3 file in mp3 format, small files each file containing a separate Word.
Preference the Division carried out automatically using the silence between the words.
Small mp3 files be corrected in a csv file to load in Anki.
Rob
GarageBand doesn't have a tool to divide an audio region in the silence between the words and export which segments as new audio files automatically.
You can create a new audio file for each word by marking the word with the cycle of the region and the sharing of the project to a folder on your disk. GarageBand will only export the part marked by the sequence in a loop.
Audio Hijack can split audio files in the silence between the parties, but I never tried to divide between the individual words.
