  If your laptop has a version of Windows OEM, it cannot be moved to another computer. If a product is 'Full' of the Retail version and assumnig you have a valid product key, then Yes you can move. Retail 'Upgrade' version requires CD (which you own) of Windows 98 or ME, to complete the upgrade.

  Stay out of the whole library. This is a complex database. If the components have moved the database becomes useless. Pretty much all you need to do inside the library can be done from the inside of the PCF.

  If you cannot move the entire library from one machine to another on an external drive, you can move a project of a new library. That will copy only the clips used in the project. You can take it on the other machine. You can also export a master file and consider on the other machine to make the DVD. It is perhaps the simplest.

  • You can let the software installed but disabled, or you can uninstall. Your choice. It is not usable unless it is enabled.
  • On the new computer, install the software from the disc or download and it should activate automatically during installation. When you are finished, click Help (Win) or Photoshop (Mac) and if you see a menu called Deactivate option, then you know that it is enabled.
